C14 Really?

Observing the group's expressions, Lin Feng realized that he was indeed a bit late in remembering certain things. The way they looked at him wouldn't be possible otherwise. He was acutely aware of this.

With time to spare, Lin Feng took a leisurely stroll before swiftly returning home. He was certain that Chu Tianyi would come looking for him at dawn today; he had given it considerable thought.

As expected, upon Lin Feng's arrival, he found Chu Tianyi waiting at his doorstep. Lin Feng smiled, acknowledging his deep understanding of Chu Tianyi.

"Have you been practicing martial arts in the backyard again? Haven't we discussed this before? If you're not confident in your ability to fully recover, you shouldn't go back there. I've told you more than once. Why do you persist in being disobedient, sneaking off to spar with the young ones at the crack of dawn? Do you find it amusing?" Chu Tianyi scolded, concern evident in his gaze.

Chu Tianyi was worried about Lin Feng's recent recovery and felt it wasn't time for him to return to the backyard. Lin Feng realized that his previous secret training sessions hadn't gone unnoticed by Chu Tianyi.

"Today, I merely went to observe, not to engage in any combat, so there's no need for concern. There's nothing more to it. I had no other intentions," Lin Feng quickly clarified.

He was concerned about how Chu Tianyi might react later, knowing that it could lead to undesirable consequences and a loss of self-control.

"Fine, as long as that's your mindset, it's sufficient. Just don't act recklessly in the future. No one can ensure your safety if you do, and if the Chef Family develops a negative impression of you, it won't be easy to reverse. Do you understand?" Chu Tianyi advised.

After speaking, Chu Tianyi fell silent and accompanied Lin Feng back to his room. Lin Feng was torn, unsure whether to confide in Chu Tianyi about the full extent of the situation.

"I have something to tell you. Can you promise not to share it with anyone else?" Lin Feng asked, looking intently at Chu Tianyi, uncertain of the depth of their relationship.

Chu Tianyi was startled when Lin Feng suddenly posed the question. He was at a loss, unsure of how to proceed at such a moment, and certainly hadn't anticipated this kind of problem arising.

"What are you trying to ask? Go ahead and ask me now; there's nothing we can't talk about. Just tell me what's on your mind," urged Chu Tianyi.

He was eager for Lin Feng to share all of his thoughts with him—it was what he had been most looking forward to. If they couldn't even manage this, it would indeed be somewhat inappropriate and problematic.

"What would you feel if I had died once and someone else had carried me away? I overheard this question yesterday and now I'm curious to know what you, my good brother, think," Lin Feng said cautiously to Chu Tianyi.

Chu Tianyi's face darkened upon hearing this, his expression turning sour. He believed that Lin Feng had only just recovered, and bringing up such a topic was not only inappropriate but also deeply unsettling.

"What are you getting at? You've just gotten better and now you're saying things like this. Didn't I tell you before? I will never let you go, no matter what. Even if that day comes, I'll be right there with you, helping you with everything. And as for possession, I don't believe such a thing even exists," Chu Tianyi said, chuckling.

He had never put stock in such notions and felt it was utterly impossible for such things to occur at this time. Seeing Chu Tianyi's disbelief, Lin Feng realized it was pointless to continue; Chu Tianyi would surely think he was just joking.

Chu Tianyi was pained to see Lin Feng silent and lost in thought, unsure of how to respond to ensure the situation was handled correctly.

"What's the matter, Lin Feng? You seem off today. Has something bad happened, or is there something you want to talk about?" Chu Tianyi asked with concern.

He sensed that Lin Feng must have something significant to discuss, or else such a scenario would never have unfolded.

"I've been experiencing some memory loss. Since my recovery, I've noticed my memory isn't what it used to be, and I can't recall some of the things I did before. I'm starting to wonder if someone might have possessed me," Lin Feng confided.

Every time he spoke, his discomfort was evident, and he hoped that after hearing his words, Chu Tianyi would grasp the true intent behind them and what he was trying to convey.

Upon hearing Lin Feng's words, Chu Tianyi was filled with concern. His close friend had only just begun to recover, and he was determined not to let anything jeopardize that progress. The thought alone made him feel incredibly awkward and deeply conflicted, unsure of the best course of action to ensure a perfect outcome.
