"Do you really believe that by deflecting these issues onto the public, I'll refrain from questioning you? Or perhaps you think I'm too timid to take you on, which is why you're bold enough to speak to me this way. What are you trying to say?" Lin Feng asked Chu Wenn, his anger palpable.

He was aware that Chu Wenn's audacity stemmed from being coddled by the elders of the Chu family, which had fostered his unforgiving nature.

As Lin Feng's tone grew increasingly stern, Chu Wenn no longer dared to spout off recklessly. He could sense that Lin Feng was a formidable opponent, which made him feel particularly unsettled. He realized he couldn't keep butting heads with Lin Feng.

"I haven't done anything, Lin Feng. If you dare to lay a hand on me today, I assure you that you'll be ousted from the Chu family. And once you're out, there's no coming back. Remember, these people will always see me as more valuable than you. If you doubt it, just try something later and see how things turn out," Chu Wenn threatened.

"Is it just the fear of being expelled from the Chu family? Do you think I'm concerned with such trivialities?" Lin Feng retorted, casting a scornful look at Chu Wenn.

Chu Wenn was beside himself with frustration, having never imagined that Lin Feng would be so fearless in the face of expulsion, something he had not anticipated.

'Could this guy actually be planning to secure his place in the Chu family on his own merit? If he stays, that could have a significant impact on me, possibly even threatening my ranking,' Chu Wenn pondered.

Meanwhile, he was scheming to get Lin Feng expelled from the Chu family, believing that Lin Feng's presence threatened his own status and identity, and would only intensify the disdain of the elders who already looked upon him unfavorably.

"Chu Wenn, I've always thought you were clever. You should know that I don't enjoy targeting others unprovoked. So, I'm telling you, sometimes you shouldn't overestimate yourself, nor should you assume that there's nobody in the world who can surpass you," Lin Feng advised, looking earnestly at Chu Wenn.

He mentioned that he wanted to reach out to Chu Wenn because they had been friends since childhood. Otherwise, he wouldn't bother with Chu Wenn at all, considering Chu Wenn's thoughts had no bearing on him.

Yet, Chu Wenn completely disregarded Lin Feng's words. Even as Lin Feng attempted to persuade him, Chu Wenn was convinced that Lin Feng was merely envious, and that was the sole reason for his advice. Lin Feng's words only fueled Chu Wenn's determination to shatter Lin Feng's confidence, which was his primary goal at the moment.

Chu Wenn remained silent, simply observing the man with a gaze full of bewilderment towards Lin Feng. He also believed that Lin Feng had no reason to bother him with so many pointless questions.

"Chu Wenn, everything I've told you is the truth. Whether you believe it or not, these are the facts. If you choose not to believe me, there's nothing I can do. But I must emphasize that everything I've said is for your benefit.

Otherwise, why would I bother talking to you at all? I could just as easily settle this with a fight," Lin Feng said, his voice laced with a mocking sneer, convinced that Chu Wenn was no longer a match for him.

The sound of Lin Feng and Chu Tianyi's derisive laughter made Chu Wenn's heart sink further. He felt utterly disregarded by the two, as if he were nothing more than a joke to them, which left him feeling profoundly dissatisfied.

"Both of you, shut up. What's so hilarious? I really don't understand what you find so amusing. Do you actually believe you're so powerful that you can overcome anything?

If that's truly what you think, then we have nothing more to discuss. But I hope you can at least grasp the meaning behind my words," Chu Wenn said, his eyes narrowing as he issued a veiled threat to Lin Feng and Chu Tianyi.

However, Lin Feng and Chu Tianyi were unfazed by threats. They always managed to respond cleverly whenever confronted, a testament to their longstanding and harmonious partnership.

Sharing a knowing smile, Lin Feng and Chu Tianyi could see right through Chu Wenn's behavior. His childishness was apparent, and it was bound to elicit disdain from others, making him seem no more mature than a petulant teenager.

Seeing Lin Feng and Chu Tianyi's malicious grins, Chu Wenn charged at Chu Tianyi without hesitation. He had already experienced Lin Feng's formidable strength the day before, and it was clear to him that he could no longer afford to confront Lin Feng directly.
