C18 Fly Away!!
Chu Wenn had yet to react when he suddenly found himself collapsing to the ground. This was an incredibly embarrassing moment for him, yet there was no time to worry about his pride.
He always felt the weight of many eyes upon him. Lin Feng had unceremoniously booted Chu Wenn from the house to the courtyard, drawing a crowd of onlookers. They couldn't contain their glee at the sight of Chu Wenn being soundly thrashed, a comeuppance for his past bullying.
"Do you think Lin Feng has really regained his strength? How else could he have beaten Chu Wenn? We may not be fans of Chu Wenn, but his strength is undeniable."
"Exactly. I believe Lin Feng has not only recovered but has also grown stronger. Otherwise, he couldn't have defeated Chu Wenn so effortlessly. It seems we might have underestimated him before. His capabilities are beyond our expectations."
The buzz of conversation grew louder, and Lin Feng, overhearing it from inside the house, couldn't help but feel satisfied. Knowing that others recognized his restored abilities was all that mattered. For Chu Wenn, however, it felt like an unbearable disgrace.
"What are you all staring at? Scram! Do you think any of you can take me on? If not, let's settle this with a duel tomorrow." Chu Wenn's voice roared with anger at the surrounding crowd.
They quickly scattered, not daring to linger. They were well aware of Chu Wenn's prowess; despite today's defeat, they knew he would be a formidable opponent once he had recovered.
Lin Feng couldn't help but chuckle at the sight of Chu Wenn's forlorn figure. He believed that Chu Wenn had brought this upon himself. Had Chu Wenn not been so intent on their rivalry, Lin Feng would have shown more mercy.
"Lin Feng, do you know when you looked the coolest? It was the moment you kicked Chu Wenn out. I had no idea your strength was so formidable. I didn't think you had it in you to make a move." Chu Tianyi remained silent, his gaze filled with admiration for Lin Feng.
Lin Feng felt a surge of pride, but he knew he had to address something. Chu Tianyi often acted too carelessly, to the point where Lin Feng worried about his ability to keep Chu Tianyi safe.
"I was fortunate enough to react in time, and my keen eyesight allowed me to see him launch an attack on you. If I hadn't seen it and you had been knocked to the ground, do you think anyone in the world could have saved you? It seems highly unlikely, so I want you to understand the importance of protecting yourself after hearing this. Don't let this incident lead you to make any poor decisions. Got it?" Lin Feng said, feeling a bit distressed.
He wished for everyone close to him to exert their utmost effort in self-protection, especially now.
Chu Tianyi, upon hearing Lin Feng's admonishments, was filled with a mix of emotions. He considered it an honor to receive such concern, having not experienced such care in a long time. The sudden attention made him incredibly happy.
Chu Tianyi couldn't help but laugh, feeling deeply comforted. He believed he could now manage his emotions in such situations, which was crucial at this point.
"What's so funny? Chu Tianyi, I was reprimanding you, not joking around. Do you realize how dangerous that was? If my reaction hadn't been quick, I might be dead by now. You're clearly not as capable as the director. Surely you're aware of that?" Lin Feng said, his words laced with irony.
He knew his sarcasm was expected by Chu Tianyi, who he was sure wouldn't take his words to heart.
Seeing Lin Feng's earnestness, Chu Tianyi refrained from responding, realizing that Lin Feng's actions had genuinely moved him. Just then, Chu Wenn slowly got up from outside, finding the whole situation quite amusing.
Lin Feng felt a profound sense of relief at Chu Wenn's reaction and marveled at his incredulous behavior.
"Chu Tianyi, did you see that? I told you Chu Wenn was tougher than you. He can put on quite the formidable front, but when will you show such strength? Do you think you could stand up again after I've defeated you?" Lin Feng teased.
As he spoke, he made his way into the courtyard, eager to witness Chu Wenn's reaction shortly. He was also hopeful that Chu Wenn would clarify the matter with utmost urgency.
"There's no point in discussing it now. Let's go see what state Chu Wenn is in at the moment," Chu Tianyi replied hastily.
Continuing their conversation, Chu Tianyi and Lin Feng entered the courtyard. To their surprise, they saw Chu Wenn spitting out a mouthful of blood. Lin Feng was taken aback; he hadn't realized he had become so merciless in his actions.
