C19 Don't Say Anymore!!
"How does it feel, Chu Wenn? I believe by now you've come to understand the extent of my strength. If you dare to provoke me again, I can assure you that my response will be far more ruthless than what you've seen today. I can't promise to hold back, so I hope you grasp the intent behind my words after hearing them. I won't say anything more on the matter."
With that, Lin Feng turned with an air of nonchalance and swiftly made his way back to his room. Meanwhile, Chu Tianyi pulled a face at Chu Wenn before quickly retreating alongside Lin Feng. Chu Tianyi harbored a residual fear of Chu Wenn, fully aware that Chu Wenn's abilities were no less formidable than his own.
"Chu Tianyi, why the rush? You're not still spooked by Chu Wenn, are you? What's the matter? You don't actually believe he's that formidable, do you?" Lin Feng asked, turning to look at Chu Tianyi with a mix of bemusement and exasperation.
He thought Chu Tianyi's hurried approach earlier was quite comical and hadn't expected him to be so genuinely fearful of someone else.
"What nonsense are you spouting? How could I be scared? It's just that I didn't handle things well earlier. You know Chu Wenn is vengeful. If he pins all the blame on me, I'll have no way to fight back. No one can handle him, right?" Chu Tianyi hastily explained.
Indeed, he believed that to be the truth. Thus, he resolved to keep a tighter rein on himself in the future to avoid such situations from recurring.
Lin Feng listened to Chu Tianyi's explanations, finding them utterly ridiculous, though he kept his amusement to himself.
Meanwhile, Chu Wenn stood in the courtyard, raindrops pelting his face like a series of slaps. The sensation ignited a fierce anger within him. His fists clenched, veins popping as if he were on the verge of exploding. In that moment, Chu Wenn resembled a monster, his eyes seething with rage, utterly devoid of tranquility.
Witnessing Chu Wenn's state, the onlookers quickly scattered. They knew he would cunningly leverage his curiosity, but whether he could effectively manage the situation remained to be seen.
He would certainly take this matter to heart. As the onlookers scattered, they feared that Chu Wenn would remember them, and that thought alone filled them with unease.
"I'm telling you, Lin Feng, there will come a day when I will make you regret everything you've done to me today," Chu Wenn growled viciously at Lin Feng.
He then raced back to his home. Upon arriving, covered in blood, he collapsed at his doorstep. Chu Feng, his father, emerged from the house and was shocked to find his son on the ground.
Chu Feng was at a loss, unable to comprehend what had happened. His son was not the most popular in the family, yet no one would dare lay a hand on him. This realization fueled Chu Feng's anger, and he quickly carried Chu Wenn inside.
"Son, what happened to you? Are you okay? Come on, wake up," Chu Feng pleaded as he slapped Chu Wenn's face, hoping to convey his earnestness and desire for revenge.
In that moment, Chu Wenn feigned fear. He dodged, intending to provoke his father to seek vengeance on his behalf. This was Chu Wenn's true intent, believing that only through his father's actions could the matter be resolved perfectly.
"What's wrong, my son? Did someone bully you before? Tell me quickly, and I will handle it. You must tell me what happened so I can help you," Chu Feng urged, knowing that swift action was necessary to address the situation.
"Dad, what if I told you it was Lin Feng?" Chu Wenn said, then closed his eyes, a gesture of his current distress.
Chu Feng's anger surged. He longed to take immediate action, yet he was tormented by his emotions, uncertain of the consequences of his potential response.
When Chu Wenn sensed his father's readiness to avenge him, his heart swelled with joy. He was confident that once his father intervened, no one in the world could stand against him. This was a fact Chu Wenn knew all too well.
At that moment, Lin Feng was at home, completely unaware that Chu Feng might come looking for him. It was a possibility he hadn't even considered, as he believed Chu Feng wouldn't stoop to engage in childish antics. The turn of events was truly surprising.
Lin Feng was sharing a drink with Chu Tianyi at home when a sudden, aggressive knocking at the door interrupted them. The urgency of the knocks set off alarm bells in Lin Feng's mind. He was certain that Chu Wenn had sent someone for retribution; there was no other explanation for such frantic knocking, a fact they both understood all too well.
"What's going on, Lin Feng? What's that noise? It doesn't sound right to me," Chu Tianyi said, quickly scurrying behind Lin Feng for safety. His timidity was profound, and he was always reliant on Lin Feng for protection.
