C20 Please Remember Me!

"What are you up to, Chu Tianyi? I never took you for a coward. What is it that you want to do now? Just come out with it and tell me straight. I'm at a loss here; I can't fathom why you're acting so scared. I never pegged you for this kind of person before."

After finishing his thought, Lin Feng coughed awkwardly twice, then gathered his courage to open the door. He was well aware that he might be facing a significant challenge by doing so, but he had no other choice.

In the face of such a situation, he had to skillfully rise to the challenge to ensure everything would go as planned.

"Is that you, Uncle? What brings you here? Is there something important you need?" Lin Feng asked directly as he faced an irate Chu Feng.

Lin Feng had a good idea of why Chu Feng was there, but he still wanted to hear it from him. He was curious about the response he would get, which would help him determine his next move.

"You're no fool. Surely you know why I've come looking for you? I believe you're well aware of the reason for my visit. What have you done to my son? There's no need for me to elaborate, is there?" Chu Feng said before kicking the door open and storming into Lin Feng's room. Seeing Chu Tianyi there as well, his anger intensified.

"And you're here too, kid? Looks like you've hit a streak of bad luck today. It's fortunate for you that I ran into you here; otherwise, I wouldn't let you off without a good talking-to. Did you get involved in the conflict with my son today? You need to give me a straight answer," Chu Feng demanded, staring down a silent Chu Tianyi.

Lin Feng was seething with frustration at Chu Tianyi's timid demeanor. He was at a loss for what to do and hadn't anticipated Chu Tianyi's cowardice, something he had never considered a concern before.

"Uncle, what's the reason for your visit today? Just tell me directly. Chu Tianyi only just arrived; he's clueless about what transpired this afternoon. So, if you have something to say, now's the time to ask me. I'm confident I can provide you with a satisfactory answer, and I trust you'll understand the true meaning behind my words."

After finishing his statement, Lin Feng positioned himself protectively in front of Chu Tianyi, determined to prevent any future conflicts.

"Look, uncle, I truly wasn't involved in the incident this afternoon, so there's no need to say more. I'm honestly very, very scared," Chu Tianyi hurriedly explained.

In that moment, Chu Tianyi had no choice but to make his case, hoping that nothing more would befall him after his plea.

Chu Feng, observing Chu Tianyi's timidity, refrained from further comment. He was aware that even if Chu Tianyi had been involved in today's events, it was Lin Feng who would have taken the harsher actions.

Chu Feng understood Chu Tianyi well enough to know that he wasn't normally so harsh, and besides, Chu Tianyi was no match for his son. Chu Feng was acutely aware of his son's capabilities.

"Enough, you may go, Chu Tianyi. Whatever happens here is no longer your concern. I hope you understand that after this conversation, you should stay out of my sight. If I see you again, I'll beat you every time. Got it?" Chu Feng said, seething with anger.

Chu Tianyi, feeling a surge of fear, remained silent, yet he did not leave the scene. He knew all too well that leaving now could lead to unknown consequences, which terrified him even more, so he chose not to walk away.

Thus, Chu Tianyi continued to stand his ground, showing no intention of departing. Chu Feng, witnessing this, was infuriated.

He had given Chu Tianyi a chance to leave, yet there he was, still present with no desire to exit. This defiance sparked Chu Feng's anger, as he felt unable to control the situation as he wished.

"What's your deal? Do you really intend to stay here now? Remember what I told you earlier. If you remain and I end up harming you, don't go making a fuss afterwards. I won't acknowledge any wrongdoing," Chu Feng warned Chu Tianyi with a menacing glare.

As he spoke, Chu Feng moved closer, startling Chu Tianyi. However, Chu Tianyi stayed firmly by Lin Feng's side, recognizing the rarity of such a loyal friend. How could he just abandon Lin Feng to face the situation alone?

Seeing Chu Tianyi's timid yet incredibly loyal demeanor, Lin Feng felt a surge of happiness. He realized that Chu Tianyi's support was exactly what he needed at this moment.

"It's truly wonderful. I never imagined you'd stay by my side, but you should head out today. Your presence here would only cause unnecessary complications," Lin Feng whispered to Chu Tianyi.

He appreciated Chu Tianyi's kindness, but he wished for Chu Tianyi to leave quickly. As things stood, Lin Feng was utterly incapable of ensuring Chu Tianyi's safety.
