C23 Let You Go!

Witnessing Chu Feng's stillness, Lin Feng couldn't help but feel a surge of embarrassment. He was at a loss as to what Chu Feng's intentions were, yet he had a hunch about what Chu Feng was planning.

"Lin Feng, do you actually believe you can defeat me? I have no desire to lay a hand on you, so don't get ahead of yourself. I've been around long enough to have 'eaten more salt than you've eaten rice'. Is this really the time for such talk?" Chu Feng said, his voice dripping with sarcasm as he eyed Lin Feng.

He had convinced himself that Lin Feng's recent victory was nothing more than a fluke. If it came down to a real fight between them, the outcome was far from certain.

Chu Feng's refusal to acknowledge his defeat left Lin Feng feeling torn. He was at a loss for words, unsure how to make Chu Feng see reason and understand his genuine intentions.

"I never once thought I could beat you, nor do I have any desire to. Besting you serves no purpose for me. But you should be well aware that you're on my turf. Even if your entourage shows up, they can't touch me. And if they try to force me out of the Chu family, I won't let you off the hook," Lin Feng said, his expression growing fierce. He hoped Chu Feng would grasp the seriousness of his mood and cease his provocations, lest Lin Feng lose control of his emotions.

Chu Feng, unable to restrain himself as the tension escalated, suddenly stood up with a whoosh, channeling all his strength as he charged at Lin Feng.

By the time Lin Feng realized what was happening, Chu Feng was upon him. It was in this moment that Lin Feng truly understood the extent of Chu Feng's formidable abilities, which explained his unchecked behavior within the Chu family—no one dared to cross him.

"Die!" Chu Feng bellowed through clenched teeth at Lin Feng.

But in a swift motion, Lin Feng countered with a backhand strike to Chu Feng's head, sending him crashing to the ground.

Lin Feng allowed himself a brief smile before stepping firmly onto Chu Feng's chest, completing the sequence of movements in under two minutes.

Upon witnessing the scene, Lin Feng couldn't help but chuckle. He realized that he indeed had the power to control himself, and he fully understood the gravity of the situation for him.

"How does it feel, Chu Feng? Enjoying it? I had no intention of hitting you earlier, yet you practically begged for it. I truly can't fathom what goes on in your mind. Do you have a penchant for masochism, or did you think I wouldn't dare lay a finger on you, so you felt emboldened to act recklessly?" Lin Feng said, looking down at Chu Feng sprawled on the ground, his voice thick with anger.

He thought Chu Feng was incredibly unappreciative. He had given Chu Feng numerous opportunities before, but Chu Feng had blatantly ignored them. And now, he had the audacity to launch an attack on him.

At this point, Chu Feng was unable to utter a sound, lying on the ground, completely still, his mouth smeared with blood.

The sight made Chu Tianyi feel a surge of fear. He hadn't anticipated Lin Feng's harsh reaction. He had assumed a slight scare would suffice to rein in Chu Feng, never expecting such drastic action, which left him feeling deeply distressed.

"Lin Feng, should we really be treating him this way? You're aware of his standing within the Chef Family. If we go through with this, who knows what the consequences will be? Maybe you should consider giving him some medical attention," Chu Tianyi suggested cautiously to Lin Feng.

Chu Tianyi was unsure how Lin Feng would react, but he felt it was his duty to lay out all the potential risks and benefits before things escalated further. He believed this to be the most prudent course of action at the moment.

Lin Feng, however, simply smiled in response. He was well aware of Chu Feng's status within the Chu family. If he had been fearful of Chu Feng, he would never have initiated an attack.

After all, attacking the family's main figure would surely turn the entire Chu family against him, regardless of Chu Feng's injuries. Lin Feng was clear on this; he was no fool. Didn't he understand the implications of provoking Chu Feng?

Yet, he wasn't afraid. On the contrary, he felt it was necessary to put Chu Feng in his place. It served as a warning to the rest of the Chu family members, letting them know he was not someone to be messed with and that they should think twice before crossing him in the future.

"Don't worry. They wouldn't dare to do anything to me. Besides, if I were afraid, I would have thought things through a long time ago. How else could I have beaten him to such a state? Do you really think that even if I were to heal him, he would let me off the hook? Would the Chu family behind him let me go? In the end, I'd still be the one out of luck," Lin Feng said with a wry smile. He was well aware that ultimately, he would be the one to suffer. Given that, he had no intention of providing Chu Feng with proper treatment. He believed that someday, he would be able to beat them all into submission. Only then would he be able to reach his original goal.

Seeing Lin Feng's stubbornness, Chu Tianyi didn't dare to speak up. But Chu Tianyi understood that Lin Feng's bold words indicated he had already made up his mind. Therefore, Chu Tianyi didn't dare to press further. He was afraid of upsetting Lin Feng, which would be counterproductive. And so, Chu Tianyi and Lin Feng stood to one side, silently waiting for Chu Feng to gradually pick himself up.
