C7 You Really Recovered!
Upon hearing Lin Feng's voice, Chu Wenn whipped his head around with lightning speed, and in that instant, he was visibly shaken.
"Have you really recovered?" Chu Wenn gazed at Lin Feng, his eyes wide with disbelief.
Lin Feng merely offered a slight smile in response to Chu Wenn's skepticism, the corners of his mouth turning up in a subtle smirk. This apparent disregard only added to the mix of emotions stirring within Chu Wenn.
"What are you trying to say? Why do I get the feeling that you're looking down on me? Surely you don't think you can beat me just because you've recovered," Chu Wenn said, his voice laced with a fierce edge.
Lin Feng listened to the implications in Chu Wenn's words but chose to keep his response brief. He understood that Chu Wenn was the type to seek immediate results, often impatient. It was precisely because of opponents like him that Lin Feng could secure a swift victory, leaving no opportunity for a counterattack.
"What a laughable notion," Lin Feng retorted with irritation. "Why would I dare to underestimate you? Given your prowess, none of us would dare. But honestly, do we even need to continue this competition? The outcome is so blatantly clear. Do you really think you stand a chance against me?"
As he spoke, Lin Feng exuded an air of nonchalance. He hoped that Chu Wenn would take the hint and stop provoking him, or else he would be forced to make Chu Wenn pay for his actions.
The crowd fell into a hushed silence, all eyes fixed on Chu Wenn and Lin Feng, curious to witness the ultimate outcome.
Despite having no real chance of victory, Chu Wenn was not ready to concede, especially not at such a pivotal moment. Giving up now would leave the future uncertain, an outcome he was not willing to entertain.
"What's all this commotion about? What's there to see here? Go about your business, everyone. The result is clear, so why keep dwelling on it? There's no need for them to continue this pointless competition. Isn't that the best resolution?" Chu Wei admonished the elders who were eager to spectate, his disappointment in them palpable.
Chu Wenn struggled to stomach Chu Wei's smug tone, feeling it was time to unleash his full strength.
Without warning, he launched a fresh assault on Lin Feng, catching him completely off guard. Lin Feng had assumed Chu Wenn wouldn't dare to confront him again, but it was clear he had miscalculated.
"How can you exploit someone's vulnerability like this?" Lin Feng said to Chu Wenn with a sense of resignation.
Yet, he chose not to say more. As Chu Wenn launched a kick at Lin Feng's neck, Lin Feng could only glance at his own neck, unable to react in time. Suddenly, there was a snapping sound, and Chu Wenn's leg broke. Seeing Chu Wenn's broken leg, Lin Feng simply smiled. He had warned Chu Wenn before not to provoke him without cause, or else he would make them pay dearly for their actions.
"Ah, it hurts so much," Chu Wenn cried out as he collapsed to the ground. Lin Feng looked down at Chu Wenn, sweating profusely on the ground, and smiled faintly. He had repeatedly cautioned Chu Wenn not to provoke him without reason, or else he couldn't predict what he might do. It was all because someone had not lost their composure, leading to this unfortunate situation.
The elders, witnessing Chu Wenn's injury, quickly gathered around him. Even on the ground, Chu Wenn was still not ready to concede defeat. He tried several times to stand and confront Lin Feng, but Lin Feng seemed to have no interest in engaging with him.
He knew all too well that initiating further interaction with someone like that would not lead to any positive outcome.
"Today, I'm going to show you just how formidable I, Chu Wenn, can be. I'll make sure you, Lin Feng, realize I'm not someone to be taken lightly," he declared, charging at Lin Feng once more, despite his injury.
Watching Chu Wenn attack him with a broken leg, Lin Feng simply laughed it off. He was confident in his ability to defeat Chu Wenn.
"I suggest you conserve your energy. Do you really think you have the strength to defeat me right now? You'd be better off going back to heal. Perhaps after you've recovered, we might still have the opportunity to spar. But if you face me without healing, I don't see the point in fighting. I have no desire to take advantage of the weak," Lin Feng said cheerfully.
"Elders, please take Chu Wenn away to rest. He truly needs to recuperate, especially after depleting so much of his Qi just getting here. Now is definitely the time for him to rest," Chu Wei added urgently.
Chu Wei hoped for an end to the hostilities between Lin Feng and Chu Wenn. He would have preferred to avoid such conflict within the Chu family, if not for the need to demonstrate that his son-in-law had fully recovered.
"Don't touch me," Chu Wenn declared, his voice filled with determination. "I want to see just how tough he really is, daring to break my leg in front of me. If I don't leave him with a broken leg today, then my name isn't Chu." With that, he once again charged at Lin Feng, albeit unsteadily.
Lin Feng, witnessing Chu Wenn's relentless approach, could not simply stand by. Despite recognizing the tragic state of his adversary, he was unable to restrain himself. With a swift motion, Lin Feng's palm struck down fiercely upon Chu Wenn's right leg, breaking it. Now with both legs fractured, Chu Wenn collapsed to the ground, drenched in sweat and grimacing in excruciating pain, unable to move.
