C4 Heavenly Spirit Body of Five Elements

"I once stumbled upon a tome of pill recipes. It didn't contain anything of substance, but it was filled with all sorts of bizarre methods. Just now, I used one of the recorded techniques to bluff those people outside," Ye Han said earnestly, deciding it was best not to delve into the peculiarities of rebirth.

"Ah?"

Despite his explanation, Jiang Xiaoxiao was still startled by Ye Han's words.

"What's the matter? Don't you believe me?" Ye Han asked her with a smile.

"Of course, I believe you. I always take your word for it," Jiang Xiaoxiao replied hastily, then giggled, "Little Han Han, remember you're the one who taught me to share the spoils equally. You haven't forgotten, have you?"

"Don't worry, I wouldn't leave you out when it comes to treasures. I'll make sure to get a copy to you by the day after tomorrow at the latest," Ye Han reassured her with a smile.

He had grown up as an orphan, enduring bullying in his village from a young age. A few months back, his adoptive grandmother, the only family he had, passed away from illness. Now, Jiang Xiaoxiao was the person he held dearest in the world.

Their eyes met, filled with mutual delight, so much so that they failed to notice a stooped figure slipping away from the doorway.

Ten minutes later, after parting ways with Jiang Xiaoxiao, Ye Han returned to his room and arranged the medicinal herbs he had gathered on the table.

"Spirit Gathering Grass, Body Tempering Flower, Blue Bar Grass..."

He looked over the herbs with a trace of joy on his face. With these, he had the means to establish himself in this lifetime.

In the Sloryn Dynasty, martial prowess was revered, but the path of martial arts wasn't open to all. Some had the guidance of master teachers yet remained obscure, while others could achieve fame and glory with just a single tome. The key difference lay in one's physical constitution.

Those blessed with innate talent could advance by leaps and bounds, their combat prowess unmatched, while those less gifted could toil endlessly and still make no progress.

The world of martial arts was inherently unjust, but fortune smiled on Ye Han, for he possessed an unrivaled talent—he was the strongest Five Elements Spiritual Body in the realm of cultivation!

The Five Elements Spiritual Body was a rarity, one in ten billion, endowed with the five attributes of metal, wood, water, fire, and earth.

These five elements were the pillars of the Dao, giving rise to myriad other attributes. Thus, the bearer of the Five Elements Spiritual Body could, in theory, embody the Dao itself.

Born with an invincible edge, Ye Han was a force to be reckoned with!

The herbs before him were potent enough to unlock the first Dao Palace within his body, allowing the Five Elements to refine his roots. This would enable him to leapfrog levels and wield Yuan Qi on par with those in the Soul Refining Realm, making him a king among his peers.

With a clear mind, Ye Han swiftly processed the herbs, extracting their essence into the bottles before him, now brimming with vibrant green liquid. He then lifted a bottle to his lips and drank deeply.

To any onlooker, this act would be astonishing. It was common knowledge that such potent herbs required supplementary pills to temper their fierce properties. Consuming them directly was tantamount to suicide!

But Ye Han, with his Five Elements Spiritual Body, could assimilate the medicinal power directly, avoiding any fatal outcome. Despite his recent reincarnation and the fragility of his new body, he endured the tumultuous surge of medicinal power within. His complexion turned ghostly pale, and beads of sweat the size of beans cascaded down his cheeks, quickly pooling on the ground.

Despite the excruciating pain, Ye Han couldn't afford a moment's pause. Drawing on his past life's experience and his insight as a Martial Arts Supreme, he refused to let the medicinal power dissipate on its own. He sat down cross-legged, concentrating intently, and battled the agonizing pain as he methodically channeled his spiritual energy to refine the medicinal strength.

Cycle after cycle passed...

As time went on, the once faint spiritual energy within Ye Han's body swelled at a visibly rapid pace.

After forty-nine cycles, Ye Han's body jolted as an overwhelming energy burst forth from his dantian!

Rising to his feet, a faint smile graced his pale face – the foundation of the Five Elements Heavenly Spiritual Body was established.

He nonchalantly changed out of his soiled clothes and selected the appropriate pill formulas from his past life's memories. Ye Han was now ready to seek out Jiang Xiaoxiao.

In this life, he had at last gained a modicum of self-defense. Yet, the one dearest to him was still unprotected.

The thought of Jiang Xiaoxiao brought a tender warmth to Ye Han's expression. In his previous life, she had perished before he could achieve any martial prowess. By the time he had made his mark, her spirit had long since faded from the world. It was his deepest sorrow and regret. Now, reborn, he cherished the unexpected opportunity to see Jiang Xiaoxiao once more.

"Xiaoxiao, rest assured, no one will hurt you in this lifetime."

While Ye Han was contemplating this, Jiang Xiaoxiao's voice broke through his thoughts.

"Get lost! Stay away from me!"

"Xiaoxiao!"

With a burst of speed, Ye Han dashed forward, only to find Jiang Xiaoxiao furiously staring down two men.

"Ye Han, what are you doing here? Get out of here..."

Upon noticing Ye Han, Jiang Xiaoxiao's anger gave way to a flash of panic.

One of the men was Lei Hao, the City Lord's son. He might not dare to harm her, but that didn't mean he wouldn't harm Ye Han!

Moreover, Jiang Xiaoxiao considered Ye Han to be a mere ordinary person with no knowledge of martial arts.

Lei Hao was known for his short temper. In Medicine City, there were plenty who had been whipped or even beaten to death for crossing him.

"Now that you're here, why leave?"

Lei Hao looked Ye Han over with a smirk.

"So, you're Ye Han?"

"Hand over the Elixir Scripture, and I might let you live."

Lei Hao's tone was casual, as if discussing a trivial matter.

Elixir Scripture!

Ye Han's gaze turned to Ah San, the shop assistant standing beside Lei Hao.

Clearly, Ah San had overheard his conversation with Jiang Xiaoxiao and snitched.

"Ye Han, just give them the Elixir Scripture," Jiang Xiaoxiao urged, tugging at his arm with a look of concern. Ye Han, however, ignored her plea and continued to glare at Ah San.

"You're the one who snitched, aren't you?"

Initially cowering, Ah San straightened up under Lei Hao's intimidating gaze.

"Yes, I'm the one who told. What of it?"

"People naturally seek higher ground, and water flows to lower places. It's the way of the world. What's wrong with that?"

Having chosen his side, what was left to question? With Lei Hao's support, couldn't he call the shots in Medicine City?

"Ah San, how could you do this?"

Jiang Xiaoxiao's voice faltered, her face a picture of utter astonishment.

Ah San had been an orphan, taken in and raised by her father during a snowy day. He had provided for her every need without ever being harsh. Who could have imagined that after her father's death, she would act in such a manner?

Yet, what unfolded next left Jiang Xiaoxiao even more stunned.

Ye Han sprang into action, closing the distance to Ah San with the speed of lightning before unleashing a barrage of iron-fisted punches!

"Crash!"

It was like a watermelon bursting open, with red splatter scattering in all directions. Ah San was brutally struck down by Ye Han, dead on the spot!

"People aspire to climb higher, just as water naturally flows to lower ground."

"It's true, that's human nature, but you chose the wrong peak to ascend."

Ye Han murmured to himself, knowing that there was only one fate for those who betrayed him: death.
