C8 Heavenly Spirit Pill

Ye Han's wounds were healing at an astonishing rate. His preparations had been spot on; the medicinal herbs he had gathered were more than sufficient. However, an unexpected turn of events occurred when a powerful suction force emerged from his dantian, draining all the medicinal power from his body. More astonishingly, this force seemed sentient, autonomously absorbing medicinal strength from the surroundings and funneling it into his dantian. To Ye Han's horror, he realized he had completely lost control over his body!

The suction force didn't cease after depleting the medicinal strength; it grew more voracious, now consuming Ye Han's own energy. At this rate, he would soon be drained of his life force!

"Ye Han should be okay, right?"

Jiang Xiaoxiao was initially relieved to see Ye Han's condition improving, his complexion returning to a healthy glow. But before she could fully relax, his situation took a drastic turn for the worse.

His once rosy cheeks abruptly turned ashen. His body began to fissure rapidly, and the herbs beneath him burst into ash with a loud "Bang!"

"Damn, the energy from the herbs isn't enough!"

Jiang Xiaoxiao, being an alchemist, instantly recognized the problem. But where could she possibly find more herbs at this critical moment?

The Haunted Forest was nothing like Medicine City. She had to forage for herbs herself, but leaving Ye Han alone was not an option. With wild and demonic beasts lurking, leaving could invite disaster.

Torn by anxiety, Jiang Xiaoxiao knew neither staying nor leaving was a viable option, yet Ye Han's condition could not tolerate any delay.

"If it weren't for me, Ye Han wouldn't have suffered such severe injuries..."

"No matter what, I must save Ye Han!"

With determination, Jiang Xiaoxiao bit down on her lip, making a tough decision. In her hand appeared a dagger, glinting with a silver sheen.

"Rip."

The dagger sliced across her wrist, emitting a sound akin to clashing steel. Remarkably, the fresh cut began to close at a visibly rapid pace.

"Drip."

A drop of blood fell onto Ye Han's lips and vanished as if by magic. His pallid complexion gained a touch of rosiness.

"It's working!"

Jiang Xiaoxiao's heart swelled with joy as she deftly maneuvered the dagger in her hand. With the passage of time, the blood seemed to undergo a transformation, coming to life as each drop danced like flames.

"I'm so cold."

A bone-chilling coldness seemed to be encroaching upon him, gradually freezing the world around him. His limbs were growing stiff; Ye Han was losing his grip on his own body!

[Could it be that I, the once-great alchemist emperor reborn, am destined to die in such an obscure way while healing?]

[Absolutely not!]

With a defiant cry, it seemed as though the frigid air itself was repelled slightly. Ye Han's willpower forged into a sword, battling the relentless cold.

Yet, the cold was peculiar, as if it stemmed from within his body, making it nearly impossible to fend off, even with the determination of an alchemist emperor. Worse still, as the suction increased, his body threatened to give out before his will, leading to certain death.

What should I do? What can be done?

As his body's vitality waned, Ye Han's mind remained lucid. He frantically combed through his memories for a countermeasure, only to realize he was utterly unprepared for this inexplicable condition.

Could it be that I, a proud alchemist emperor, am truly going to perish here?

"Boom!"

In the throes of despair, a radiant burst of flame erupted, melting away the surrounding chill like spring thawing winter snow, and reinvigorating his desiccated body.

"Boom, boom, boom..."

Flame after flame sprang forth, each one drawn into his dantian with the growing suction. As the energy swelled, a phantom of a spherical bead began to take shape.

The bead solidified, displaying a spectrum of gold, green, blue, red, and yellow. Astonishingly, with the emergence of the bead, the suction force within Ye Han's body receded as if its sole purpose was to forge this orb.

"Heavenly Spirit Pill!"

Ye Han was astounded. Tales of martial ascension were many, but the most wondrous among them was the prophecy that the bearer of the Heavenly Spirit Pill would surely ascend.

In his past life, Ye Han, as the alchemist emperor, had reigned supreme, yet he had never believed in the actual existence of the Heavenly Spirit Pill. He had dismissed it as a mere fable, a longing for martial transcendence. And now, against all odds, he was witnessing the Heavenly Spirit Pill firsthand.

However, the Heavenly Spirit Pill of legend was said to be a crystal with five distinct colors, yet the pill within him was solely a magnificent blue, with the other colors appearing quite dull.

As the Yuan Qi flowed and surged toward the Heavenly Spirit Pill, a sudden burst of blue light enveloped Ye Han, and an odd sensation instantly entwined itself around his heart, taking shape. Astonishingly, the Heavenly Spirit Pill had endowed him with a power that could only be described as miraculous.

It wasn't merely a transformation of his physical form; this power was akin to water, capable of altering anything and even mimicking the essence of cultivation techniques!

Ye Han was astounded. In his two lifetimes of cultivation, he had never heard of anyone possessing such an ability. Moreover, why had the Heavenly Spirit Pill manifested within him? Could it be due to his Five Elements Heavenly Spirit Body? But then, how could his past life be explained? And what about that sudden flame?

"Ye Han, are you alright?"

At the sound of Jiang Xiaoxiao's voice, Ye Han quickly gathered his thoughts and nodded in her direction. It was then that he noticed her complexion was ashen and she was drenched in sweat, resembling someone recovering from a prolonged illness.

"Xiaoxiao, what happened to you? Has someone been here?"

While speaking, Ye Han took hold of Jiang Xiaoxiao's wrist. Being an alchemist, he was naturally skilled in diagnosing and healing. His gaze swept around the cave, but there were no signs of a recent battle.

"I'm okay, just a bit worn out from worrying about you," Jiang Xiaoxiao replied, her wrist giving a slight flick as she silently stowed her dagger away.

Hearing her response, Ye Han felt a twinge of guilt. He could see that Jiang Xiaoxiao was indeed unharmed, merely weakened. She would need only a few days of careful nurturing to recover. He offered her words of comfort, and although Jiang Xiaoxiao returned his reassurance with a smile, the concern in her eyes lingered.

The Southern Wild, located at the southernmost tip of the Azure Continent, was renowned for its myriad demon beasts and demonic creatures. It was also where solitary cultivators without the backing of families or sects could seek their fortunes.

Yet, even the boldest of these solitary cultivators wouldn't dare venture deep into the Southern Wild. Legends spoke of emperor-level demonic beasts residing in its depths, making it a veritable no-man's-land for humans.

In that instant, from the heart of the Southern Wild, a middle-aged man shot up into the sky, his eyes ablaze with a fearsome glow.

"The Blood Sinners? Have they finally resorted to using the power of their bloodline?"

"Third Brother, I want you to go and retrieve the sinner."

"Chieftain, that area falls under the domain of the alchemist. If he attempts to interfere..."

"Can we kill him?"

The one addressed as Third Brother was a striking woman, clad in form-fitting attire, exuding a seductive aura. She responded with a sly smile, "Kill."

"Our Phoenix God Clan takes action. Should anyone dare to obstruct us..."

"Show no mercy. Kill him!"
