C44 Angry Qiao Mao!
It must be acknowledged that Qiao Mao harbored a deeper desire to kill members of the Nether Clan than to take the lives of Qin Hu and Qiao Guang. He was well aware that the Nether Clan had orchestrated the numerous incidents in Martial Sun City and had even infiltrated the Main Family.
Qiao Mao also suspected that Qiao Guang might be oblivious to the fact that he was under the Nether Clan's control.
As Qiao Mao neared the tent, he swiftly dispatched the two Nether Clan guards stationed outside. He braced himself to unleash a massacre within the tent, but was taken aback by a maniacal laugh that echoed from within: "Once we establish the Blood Imprisoning Nether Array around Black Blood City and Martial Sun City, the Nether Clan's invasion of South Sun County will be imminent."
The term "Blood Imprisoning Nether Array" sent a jolt through Qiao Mao, igniting a surge of fury that elevated his aura to its peak. He knew the array to be exceedingly brutal; if erected around Martial Sun City, it would spell certain death for every resident and animal within a mere fortnight.
Despite its lower-tier status, the Blood Imprisoning Nether Array was notoriously the most heinous of the Nether Clan's formations. Qiao Mao had witnessed its devastating power in a past life, where it had obliterated an entire city.
Beneath the array, close to a hundred thousand lives were extinguished in succession. For the city's inhabitants, those fifteen days surpassed the cruelty of hell itself. Elders wept over the bodies of their spouses and children. Orphaned infants, left to fend for themselves, wailed inconsolably amidst the desolation.
The air was thick with the sounds of agony and mourning that reverberated through the streets.
Eventually, the skies themselves seemed to grieve, unleashing a rain of blood in lamentation for the city's fallen.
By the eighth day, with the city's defenses utterly crippled, the Nether Clan People commenced their slaughter. They unleashed hordes of low-level Demonic Beasts to ravage the corpses, callously exterminating any surviving infants and elders without a shred of mercy.
Later, Qiao Mao reached the city. Upon witnessing the mountains of corpses, his heart blazed with uncontainable rage. Driven by fury, he stormed into the city alone and annihilated all members of the Nether Clan.
Yet, Qiao Mao was unable to save a single soul. In his past life, the haunting cries of the elderly and children would echo in his ears every time he tried to sleep.
Now, the Nether Clan was conspiring once more. They intended to use the Blood Imprisoning Nether Array to eradicate the entire population of Martial Sun City, which infuriated Qiao Mao to his core.
Overwhelmed with anger, Qiao Mao felt as if he were being torn apart from within. He charged into the command tent, channeling his cultivation. His Spiritual Energy burst forth in a wild torrent, exploding around him. He fought fiercely, his roars of rage punctuating each clash.
With every cry of "Kill!" Qiao Mao claimed the life of another Nether Clan member. Although he had lived for over two centuries and his perspective had evolved, he could no longer contain the fury that raged within him.
In a mere moment, Qiao Mao had slain six individuals, among them five Mortality Transcending Level Eight Heaven Martial Artists and one Half-Step Mortality Transcending Level Nine Heaven Martial Artist.
The remaining Nether Clan Martial Artists, at the Mortality Transcending Level Nine Heaven, were paralyzed with dread upon witnessing Qiao Mao's relentless onslaught.
"Who are you?" one asked, trembling.
"I am the Feather Devil Imperial Sovereign, your Nether Clan's worst nightmare," Qiao Mao declared icily. He then consumed a Spirit Explosion Pill, causing his cultivation to surge dramatically. In one swift motion, he seized the man's head in his hand.
Although Qiao Mao's cultivation was more than sufficient to confront this foe, his anger was too intense to allow the Nether Clan member to live another second, hence his use of the Spirit Explosion Pill.
Chaos erupted throughout the Nether Clan camp as countless warriors converged on Qiao Mao from every direction.
Zhang Yu, startled by Qiao Mao's thunderous shouts, feared for his comrade's safety. Abandoning his covert position, he grasped his Profound Iron Bow and unleashed a relentless barrage of arrows, each as piercing as Cold Ice.
Zhang Yu was a master of Archery from a young age. Each arrow he loosed would explode the head of a member of the Nether Clan as he charged into their camp with unparalleled speed.
Upon reaching Qiao Mao, however, Zhang Yu was met with a sight that stopped him in his tracks. Qiao Mao stood there like a wild beast in a fury, his aura seething with rage. His eyes were bloodshot, and his body was smeared with black blood.
More than ten Nether Clan Martial Artists lay around Qiao Mao, each with their heads gruesomely shattered.
"What happened here?" Zhang Yu's heart lurched, unable to comprehend what had driven Qiao Mao to such a state of rage. This was a side of Qiao Mao he had never seen before, overturning everything Zhang Yu thought he knew.
Qiao Mao remained silent, his fists clenched as he stood, lost in his fury, unable to quell the storm of anger within him.
Realizing it was futile to press for answers, Zhang Yu turned his attention to gathering the spoils of war. But as he searched the Nether Clan's belongings, his eyes grew wide with disbelief.
After more than ten minutes, Zhang Yu, weighed down by his findings, approached Qiao Mao and said gravely, "Qiao Mao, what are these bodies? They're not human."
"They are of the Nether Clan," Qiao Mao replied, his voice steady as he began to rein in his menacing presence.
"The Nether Clan!" Zhang Yu gasped, his mind racing with questions about who the Nether Clan were and why Qiao Mao harbored such intense animosity towards them. It was unlike Qiao Mao to lose his composure.
Witnessing Qiao Mao's current state gave Zhang Yu an unsettling feeling. If Qiao Mao were to succumb to madness, he might slaughter everyone in his path. The thought alone was horrifying to Zhang Yu.
"They belong to the Nether Clan, a race destined to plague the Fire Crow Country and the entire continent for millennia, known for their extreme cruelty," Qiao Mao explained, struggling to keep his emotions at bay.
With the situation having escalated to this point, Qiao Mao could no longer conceal the truth about the Nether Clan.
Despite Zhang Yu's suspicions and mental preparation, Qiao Mao's revelations left him ashen-faced and reeling. Stumbling backwards, he exclaimed, "How can this be? They're planning to invade the Fire Crow Country?"
"This is merely the tip of the iceberg when it comes to the Nether Clan. There are some things beyond your wildest imagination," Qiao Mao remarked with a dismissive snort.
