C9 Trash with No Manners!
Kasch and Zoie's expressions soured as the sarcasm hit its mark, both seething with a desire to end Rollins's life then and there.
Yet Rollins dismissed the pair as if they were mere nuisances. Once the elevator doors had shut, he ascended directly to the top floor, to Heyden's office.
Kasch and Zoie, still simmering with rage, waited for the next elevator.
As they ascended, Kasch's voice was icy, "Today's agenda is too important to be sidetracked by him. But mark my words, I'll find an opportunity to take care of your brother-in-law."
Elena chimed in with venom, "He had the audacity to insult us? He will regret it."
Meanwhile, Rollins had confidently entered Heyden's office.
Upon seeing him, Heyden rose quickly, greeting him with deference, "Young Master, welcome!"
Rollins nodded and settled onto the sofa, then inquired, "How well do you know the local Perez family?"
Heyden, puzzled, asked, "Which Perez family?"
With a hint of disdain, Rollins clarified, "Their young master goes by Kasch."
Recognition dawned on Heyden, who responded promptly, "Of course! Kasch's family is a partner of ours. Their main operations rely heavily on our Wandos Company. We've had a long-standing and seemingly pleasant partnership with the Perez family."
Rollins's tone turned frosty, "Effective immediately, Wandos Company is to sever all business ties with the Perez family. Halt every ongoing and planned collaboration. If they earn even a penny from Wandos Company from now on, consider your position as chairman terminated."
Realizing the gravity of the situation, Heyden understood that someone from the Perez family had crossed Young Master Lewis.
The audacity of the Perez family was staggering. A mere upper-middle-class local clan, and yet they dared to provoke Young Mr. Lewis? They were certainly courting disaster.
Without hesitation, Heyden affirmed, "Rest assured, Young Master. I'll issue the directive to cease all dealings with the Perez family immediately."
As he reached for the phone to make the call, it rang. On the other end was his secretary, just outside his office.
"Hello?"
"President Wang, General Manager Kasch from the Perez Group and his fiancée are here to see you. They wish to deliver an invitation."
Heyden quickly hit the mute button and turned to Rollins. "Young Master, should I have security escort them out?"
Rollins nodded, a smirk playing on his lips. "Perez, you've got the right idea."
He then instructed, "Tell them that Wandos Company has no interest in collaborating with such low-grade refuse!"
"Got it!" Heyden lifted the receiver again and instructed his secretary, "Inform Kasch that Wandos Company refuses to collaborate with low-grade refuse. Have security remove them at once, and make sure they understand they're barred from Wandos Company premises indefinitely! Oh, and notify the business department to terminate all dealings with the Perez Group immediately. It has to be done today!"
Outside, Kasch and Elena waited with bated breath.
With Archibald's arrest and Heyden's rise, this was an excellent chance for Kasch and the Perez family to curry favor.
The Perez family had been unable to secure a strategic partnership with Wandos Company, largely due to Archibald's self-serving dealings, favoring companies with closer ties to him.
Now, with Archibald out of the picture, it was the perfect time to forge a connection with Heyden.
If the Perez family could become strategic partners with Wandos Company through Heyden, they would ascend to a whole new level of influence.
In fact, the Perez family might even rise to become one of the most distinguished families in the area!
Just then, the secretary hung up and immediately called the security team. "Captain Arnold, we need some assistance."
Taking the president's secretary's request seriously, Captain Arnold responded promptly, "Understood!" and quickly headed over with his team.
Kasch, feeling a mix of anticipation and anxiety, ventured to ask, "Excuse me, what did President Wang say? Will he be able to meet with us?"
The secretary met his gaze with an icy demeanor. "I'm sorry, but President Perez has made it clear that Wandos Company will not engage in business with lowlifes like yourself."
"What did you say?!" Kasch was taken aback, his mind reeling. The phrase struck a chord of familiarity. That's right, he thought, Elena's good-for-nothing brother-in-law had uttered those very words in the parking lot earlier.
What was President Perez implying? Was he cutting ties with the Perez family?
As Kasch wrestled with his thoughts, the secretary dialed the business department right in front of him. "Hello, Director Foster. President Perez insists that we cease all dealings with the Perez Group effective immediately."
Kasch's mind was in turmoil, bombarded with one shocking revelation after another. What was happening? Ending all cooperation? The Perez family relied on Wandos Company for over half of their profits. Without this partnership, the family's power would be halved instantly!
He couldn't fathom this new reality and bellowed, "I demand to see President Perez! I need to clarify this with him in person!"
The secretary's voice remained cool and detached. "I'm sorry, but President Perez refuses to meet with you. He has also instructed that you are forbidden from setting foot in Wandos Company ever again."
"Cut the crap!" Kasch retorted furiously. "You must be joking! We've been longstanding partners with Wandos Company. You can't just terminate our cooperation out of the blue!"
At that moment, Captain Arnold arrived with a squad of burly security guards.
The secretary quickly pointed them out. "Captain Arnold, these are the two individuals. The president wants them escorted off the premises."
Captain Arnold didn't hesitate, seizing Kasch's wrist and wrenching it behind his back with a swift motion.
Kasch howled in pain, but Captain Arnold was unsympathetic, his voice stern. "Leave now! If you cause any more trouble at Wandos Company, I won't hesitate to take you down!"
"Do you have any idea who I am?" Kasch spat, incensed at the security captain's audacity to bark orders at him.
But before he could finish, Captain Arnold delivered a stinging slap to his face, his rebuke cutting through the air. "In the presence of Wandos Company, you're nobody!"
Captain Arnold was acutely aware that he was acting on behalf of the Perez family and Wandos. In the past, he wouldn't have dared to raise his voice, much less strike him. But now, with the Perez family's influence waning, he knew that any retaliation would be backed by the full force of Wandos Company. And if President Heyden got wind of his loyalty, a promotion was almost guaranteed—a perfect opportunity to prove his allegiance!
Kasch's cheek stung from the slap as he was about to erupt in anger, his phone abruptly rang.
It was his father calling.
He answered, and an angry bellow erupted from the other end, "What mess have you gotten into now? Wandos Company just informed us they're severing all ties. Who on earth did you manage to offend?"
Feeling aggrieved, Kasch replied, "Dad, I haven't offended anyone. I was just delivering an invitation to President Wang. I didn't even get to see him face to face."
His father's voice thundered through the phone, "Wandos Company claims they're cutting off the Perez family because you're an unprincipled piece of trash! Our family is suffering huge losses because of you. Get back here immediately and explain yourself to your grandfather!"
Kasch, escorted out by security, stood outside Wandos Company, phone in hand, utterly bewildered.
Then, Rollins popped into his mind, and he turned to Elena, who looked just as disheveled, "Elena, could this be because of your good-for-nothing brother-in-law? Does he have some connection to Wandos Company?"
"What?" Elena was startled by Kasch's suggestion. She pondered it seriously, but it seemed far-fetched—her brother-in-law was a total loser.
But then, with conviction, she shook her head and retorted, "That idiot? Connected to Wandos Company? He wouldn't even qualify to scrub their toilets!"
Kasch nodded, his thoughts drifting to his irate father. With a heavy sigh, he conceded, "I need to head home right away."
Elena, anxious, inquired, "Kasch, what should we do about the emerald from Green Pavilion?"
"Emerald?" Kasch's confusion quickly gave way to irritation. His face contorted with anger as he fought back the impulse to shout, "With such a grave situation at hand, you're still thinking about purchasing jewelry?"
