C37 The Reckless Young Master Jing!

Indeed, the figure who ascended the stone steps with the speed of a whirlwind was none other than Pei Yu!

Pei Yu himself could hardly believe the extent of his own speed.

A single stride spanned ten meters!

With effortless grace, he soared up the steps, barely pausing as he made his way from the base to the summit in just over a minute—an astonishing feat.

Even more astounding was his composure—no heavy breathing, not a bead of sweat in sight.

"Is this the formidable power of a Blood Qi warrior?" Pei Yu mused, quite pleased with himself.

The mountaintop was deserted; he was the day's first to arrive.

Finding a level stone, he settled down to practice his cultivation.

His Blood Qi roiled within him, and seizing the moment, he hoped to make some headway.

After about thirty minutes, Pei Yu, perched at the pinnacle, was enveloped in a sensation of profound coolness.

The movement of Blood Qi within him was taking effect at last.

Just then, four teenagers, each about eighteen, reached the peak.

"My father was spot on; starting Blood Qi training early means I'll adapt quicker and gain an edge over my peers," one remarked.

"We owe so much to Young Master Jing's advice; it's been incredibly beneficial, though we're no match for him," another added.

"Young Master Jing is unbeatable in our age group. With the privilege of training at his family's martial club, he might break into the Fifth Grade within a decade," a third chimed in.

"I'd say Young Master Jing's future holds at least a Grandmaster title," concluded the fourth.

The trio showered the branded-clothed youth with flattery, their efforts to impress betraying a practiced air.

Young Master Jing, the recipient of their praise, allowed a slight smile to cross his lips, his head lifting in a gesture of contentment.

"Let's each find our own spot to cultivate. I'll head to my usual place," he suggested.

Following the technique passed down by his father, Young Master Jing knew the importance of immediate cultivation after activating his Blood Qi.

"But Young Master Jing, your spot's been taken," one of the group observed, nodding toward a young man meditating serenely on a rock.

Young Master Jing's annoyance was immediate. With a cold huff, he advanced and barked, "You, get out of my way."

Pei Yu was lost in thought when he suddenly heard footsteps approaching from behind. Opening his eyes for a quick survey, he spotted four young men, all younger than himself.

"This place belongs to you, does it?" Pei Yu challenged upon hearing Young Master Jing's command.

"Just do as Young Master Jing says and leave. Why all the talk?" one of his cronies interjected.

"Don't play dumb. Climbing the mountain so early, you must've skipped breakfast, right? How about a couple of slaps to fill you up?" taunted another.

Young Master Jing's loyal trio tried to shoo Pei Yu away.

"Is this land yours? Am I not allowed here?" Pei Yu asked, a slight smile on his lips.

The youth of today sure have a way with words.

Young Master Jing's temper flared at the provocation. "This land is mine. Leave now if you value your life!" he snapped.

He had no time to squander on Pei Yu; any further delay and his Blood Qi would stabilize.

He needed to capitalize on this moment for his cultivation!

"I've just finished using the area. Had you asked nicely, I might have considered it, but now..." Pei Yu trailed off.

"Enough with your babbling, just scram!" Young Master Jing lost his cool.

Pei Yu was about to respond when Young Master Jing's patience ran out. He wasn't one to waste words on the common folk and lunged to toss Pei Yu aside.

"Oh really? Perhaps it's you who needs to learn a lesson," Pei Yu retorted.

As Young Master Jing lunged, Pei Yu's reflexes were lightning-fast. Almost imperceptibly, he seized Young Master Jing's outstretched hand and gave it a gentle twist.

Young Master Jing howled in agony as his arm contorted a full 360 degrees, now resembling a grotesque swing arm of a clock.
