The man maneuvering the wheelchair reached into his pocket and produced an envelope, extending it towards Alvis. "Big brother, have a look," he said.

Alvis accepted the envelope and slid out the photograph, studying it briefly before a slight furrow appeared on his brow; he didn't recognize the person captured in the image.

"Do you know this kid's name?" Alvis pressed.

"I don't
