The coastal defense forces of East Di Country comprised a division, albeit a reserve one. In plain terms, they were understaffed. Typically, a division would number between twenty-two and twenty-four thousand, but theirs had just over sixteen thousand troops.
During the initial bombing of the city, they dispatched over three thousand troops to combat the fires. Tragically
