C23 No Need for the Procedures!

Imperial Heaven Restaurant is undoubtedly the largest and most renowned dining establishment in all of Mutian City. Its clientele consists exclusively of the elite and well-known figures of society.

Ji Tiancheng, living up to his title as the Mu Tian City Lord, had made arrangements at this prestigious venue to match Xiao Hee's stature.

Hailing a cab on the street, Xiao Hee arrived at the entrance of Imperial Heaven Restaurant. The driver, upon learning of his destination, couldn't stop remarking on his apparent success, assuming he worked at such an esteemed place.

Even if Xiao Hee had explained that he was going there to dine, the driver likely wouldn't have believed him, given his modest attire.

Upon reaching the entrance, Xiao Hee was halted by the security guards due to his plain clothes. "Who are you? Do you have a reservation? Without one, you cannot enter," one guard said, maintaining a courteous tone. Such a high-caliber restaurant didn't employ just anyone, even their security personnel exhibited a level of professionalism.

Nevertheless, the disdain in the guard's eyes was unmistakable. Given Xiao Hee's attire, it was clear he didn't fit the profile of their usual affluent patrons. Allowing someone who looked like a local troublemaker inside could disrupt the ambiance and ultimately reflect poorly on the security team.

As Xiao Hee stood there, feeling rather resigned, a sharp-dressed woman briskly emerged from the lobby, made her way to the entrance, and approached him directly. "Hello, may I speak with Mr. Xiao Hee?" she inquired, bending slightly in a gesture of respect.

"Yes, I'm Xiao Hee. And you are?" he responded.

"Excellent, Mr. Ji has been eagerly awaiting your arrival in the VIP room on the second floor. Please, come this way," she said with a beaming smile, ushering Xiao Hee inside.

The security guards watched, dumbfounded. They had suspected Xiao Hee might be a local ruffian, but it was now apparent he was someone of importance, especially since the lobby manager herself had come out to greet him personally.

"Listen up, everyone. Mr. Xiao is a distinguished guest of ours. From now on, when you see him, the usual procedures do not apply. Understand?" the woman said to the security guards with an icy demeanor.

The guards, visibly shaken by her words, nodded vigorously, their faces drained of color.

They could hardly believe that this man, who looked no different from a vagrant, was actually a VIP at the Imperial Sky Restaurant.

The woman then took Xiao Hee by the arm and warmly led the way.

Clearly, she had been sent by Ji Tiancheng, likely informed by Mo Chen about his understated attire. It was expected that Xiao Hee might face some difficulties or obstacles due to his clothing in such an upscale restaurant.

Xiao Hee's suspicions were confirmed when the hall manager, having been tipped off by Ji Tiancheng about a VIP arriving, had inquired about the guest's appearance and name.

She had hurried downstairs, concerned that Xiao Hee might have a rough time with the security at the entrance. Thankfully, the guards had been sensible enough not to eject him, which would have been a disaster.

After escorting Xiao Hee to the elevator and informing him that Ji Tiancheng and the others were waiting on the second floor, the woman departed. She was sharp and could sense Xiao Hee's reluctance as she held his arm, although she didn't know the reason. It seemed that Xiao Hee wasn't too fond of excessive physical contact with her.

As Xiao Hee stepped into the elevator, just as the doors were about to close, a woman hurriedly rushed in, looking as if she was dealing with an urgent matter.

She was quite tall, standing just a bit shorter than Xiao Hee, who was 1.8 meters. She must have been around 1.7 meters tall, and with high heels, she would nearly match Xiao Hee's height.

This woman was not only beautiful but also possessed a unique charm and a full figure.

While Xiao Hee was observing her, she turned her head sharply and glared at him with contempt. "What are you staring at, you loser?"

"I... I didn't see anything!"

Xiao Hee was momentarily dazed, clearly flustered by the woman's accusation.

"You're still denying it, yet your face is flushed," she teased.

The woman chuckled. "Little perv, do you find your 'big sister' attractive?"

Clearly, she had caught Xiao Hee's gaze in the elevator mirror. As someone from high society, she was puzzled how this down-and-out guy had managed to enter such a prestigious restaurant, let alone stare at her so intently.

"I told you, I wasn't looking... Achoo!"

Xiao Hee, now visibly embarrassed and frustrated, was cut off mid-sentence by a sudden sneeze directed at the woman's chest.

"Oh... I'm so sorry..."

In a state of panic, Xiao Hee instinctively reached out to wipe off the droplets from her chest, only to realize what he was doing as the woman's face contorted in disgust.

"Ahhhhh... You, you, you..."

The woman looked at Xiao Hee with shock and horror, clearly not expecting such an indecent act from this loser.

"Smack!"

A sharp slap landed on Xiao Hee's face as the woman glared at him, her cheeks burning with embarrassment and anger.

"You filthy rogue."

She glared at Xiao Hee as if deeply wronged, and just then, the elevator doors opened. She spun on her heel and stormed off, presumably in search of the restroom.

Xiao Hee stood frozen in place, completely bewildered. Damn it, he hadn't meant to touch her chest. Did it really warrant such fury, even a slap?

Regaining his composure, Xiao Hee finally exited the elevator and located the VIP room on the second floor that the lobby manager had directed him to.
