C20 [shopping]
Strolling down the streets of Liu City, a dashing young gentleman was accompanied by a young and beautiful girl.
"Brother, look, sugar-coated haws!" Qin Qing exclaimed, her eyes fixed on the treat, barely containing her drool.
Qin Ming chuckled and inquired, "Uncle, how much for a stick of sugar-coated haws?"
"A bargain," replied the elderly vendor, promptly offering a stick to Qin Ming. "Just five copper coins for this one."
"Keep the change," Qin Ming said, handing over a piece of silver.
Lacking copper coins and preferring not to carry them, he opted to pay with silver instead.
"Thank you kindly, Young Master," the old man said with gratitude, accepting the coins and bowing in thanks.
"For you!" Qin Ming presented the sugar-coated haws to his sister.
Qin Qing eagerly accepted it, grinning. "Thank you, Brother. You're always so good to me."
"Didn't I give you Spirit Stones yesterday? Next time, you can buy it yourself," Qin Ming reminded her with a smile, having given her some mid-grade Spirit Stones after selling Qi Gathering Pills the day before.
"Hmph, the ones Brother buys taste better. The ones I buy myself aren't as good," she pouted. "I just love it when Brother buys me treats."
"Alright!" Qin Ming laughed heartily. "From now on, I'll buy them for you. Does that sound good?"
"You said it—no take-backs," she warned.
"No take-backs. A gentleman's word is his bond," Qin Ming assured her.
"Look, there's a clothing store over there. Shall we check it out?"
Qin Ming gestured toward a rather opulent-looking shop and suggested to Qin Qing.
"But the clothes there are so pricey," Qin Qing said, her eyes sparkling with longing yet tinged with hesitation.
Without a word, Qin Ming took her hand and led her toward the shop.
"Don't worry about the cost. In a little while, I'll take you to Chen Yang City for shopping. They have even finer clothes there."
"My dear, you're such a beauty. You need gorgeous clothes to complement your looks. Here, we have many stunning outfits that would suit you perfectly."
Upon entering the store, the proprietress immediately took Qin Qing under her wing, showcasing various garments.
This store boasted the most luxurious and expensive attire in all of Liu City, which meant few could afford them, leading to slow business. Hence, the owner's enthusiasm.
"How about this one?" the owner asked, presenting a sky-blue gown of impeccable color and craftsmanship, clearly the work of a master.
"It's crafted from the fur of a blue rabbit, a third-grade Devil Beast. The fur is incredibly soft and the garment itself is warm in winter, cool in summer—utterly comfortable."
"How much is it?" Qin Qing asked, clearly smitten with the dress. Girls can seldom resist the allure of beautiful clothing.
The owner, sidestepping the question, suggested, "Why not try it on first? We can talk price afterward. If it's not to your liking, I'll find another one for you."
"Alright!" Qin Qing genuinely adored the dress, and the best part was that trying it on didn't cost a dime.
In just a short while, Qin Qing emerged from the fitting room, clad in a sky-blue dress adorned with two Flowing Clouds Bracelets. The color highlighted her youthful purity and innocence, making her shine with a radiant beauty that perfectly captured the essence of a young girl's charm.
"Brother, does this dress look good?" Qin Qing did a twirl and inquired.
"Very good-looking!" Qin Ming affirmed with a nod. His sister was naturally beautiful, but dressed in the sky-blue attire, her allure was simply breathtaking.
