C13 Give Me Three Minutes!

"Master, are you still selling those remaining Peach Wood Amulets?"

As Hsu Qing looked on in astonishment, Ning Xue's eyes sparkled at the sight of the few Peach Wood Amulets displayed on Ye Tian's stall. She turned to Ye Tian with an inquisitive gaze.

"Three hundred thousand yuan apiece. I can sell you one more," Ye Tian nodded, pausing thoughtfully before he spoke.

Three hundred thousand yuan each!

Hsu Qing was flabbergasted.

Could Ye Tian really command such an exorbitant price for mere peach wood? Was he out of his mind with greed?

Yet, in the very next moment, something even more bewildering occurred.

Ning Xue, upon hearing Ye Tian's asking price, didn't bat an eye at the cost. She frowned slightly, "Why can you only sell me one more? Why not all of them?"

A single Peach Wood Amulet had the power to rouse someone from a vegetative state and avert disaster twice.

For such a miraculous item, anyone would naturally want as many as possible.

Ning Xue wasn't taken aback by Ye Tian's on-the-spot price hike.

After all, Ye Tian had previously sold them for ten thousand yuan each to a buyer unaware of their true value. Now that she recognized their worth, the original price was no longer on the table.

Besides, wasn't a Peach Wood Amulet that could awaken someone from a coma worth three hundred thousand yuan?

"If you buy too many, you won't be able to handle the consequences," Ye Tian said with a gentle smile.

The innocent become guilty when they possess jade in secret.

This was the principle Ye Tian had deduced within the Square Inch Spirit Domain.

The greater the treasure, the more perilous it was in the hands of the weak. Not only would it not be a blessing, but it could also bring misfortune.

Those lacking strength might acquire such treasures, but they couldn't safeguard them, potentially inviting disaster.

Should Ning Xue purchase all the Peach Wood Amulets, and if others discovered this, her fate would be sealed.

"Alright. I'll take you to withdraw the money. My grandfather is eager to meet you; would you be willing to come?" Ning Xue, astute and understanding Ye Tian's implication, nodded with due respect.

"Of course."

Ye Tian was favorably impressed by Ning Xue and, having struck a significant deal, he was not averse to extending her a courtesy. He returned her joy with a smile and a nod.

Ning Xue's face lit up with delight. She respectfully helped Ye Tian pack up his stall, and together they headed toward the hospital. Her demeanor remained deferential throughout their walk.

Ye Tian responded with his usual composure, seemingly accustomed to such reverential treatment.

Hsu Qing remained rooted to the spot, watching in disbelief as Ye Tian departed with Ning Xue.

Even now, she struggled to grasp that Ye Tian had sold a Peach Wood Amulet for three hundred thousand yuan, and the buyer was content, showing no signs of feeling deceived.

Throughout the entire exchange, Ye Tian hadn't spared her a single glance.

It was as though they had become complete strangers.

"Qingqing, who was that girl just now? Why did Ye Tian leave with her?"

"How does Ye Tian know such a beautiful girl?"

"She doesn't look like she's from our school. I've never seen her before."

At that moment, Hsu Qing's friends gathered around, their eyes trailing after Ye Tian and Ning Xue as they started to buzz with curiosity.

"I've got to take care of something, so I'm heading out. You all enjoy yourselves," Hsu Qing said, excusing herself from the growing chatter.

Hsu Qing gave the other girls an awkward smile before quickly lowering her head and making a hasty exit.

“What’s up with Qingqing? We had plans to hang out together. Why’d she take off like that?”

“Maybe she got upset seeing that girl with Ye Tian – she’s even prettier than Hsu Qing, right?”

As Hsu Qing walked away, the girls watched her retreating figure and speculated wildly about her sudden departure.

Meanwhile, Ye Tian and Ning Xue had made their way into the hospital. Along the way, Ning Xue had transferred three hundred thousand yuan into Ye Tian’s account.

“Everyone, please step aside!”

A chorus of urgent voices echoed from the hospital entrance, followed by a procession of doctors and nurses in white coats, pushing more than twenty stretchers bearing children with alarmingly pale complexions.

“Doctor, what’s happening? Are the kids being transferred to another facility?”

Ning Xue, ever compassionate, caught sight of the distressing scene and offered Ye Tian an apologetic smile. She quickly approached a group of doctors and, while assisting them with the stretchers, asked softly about the situation.

“These kids seem to have a severe lung infection. They’ve been coughing terribly, and despite trying all sorts of antiviral medications, there’s been no improvement. We need to get them to the provincial hospital immediately to diagnose the problem and begin treatment,” explained one of the doctors, his forehead slick with sweat.

As if to underscore the doctor’s words, a child on a nearby stretcher began to cough violently, a harrowing sound that seemed to tear at his very insides. Moments later, the child vomited a yellow-green bile, a sight that silenced the room and painted every face with deep concern for the suffering children.

“These children can’t go anywhere else; they need immediate treatment, or they won’t make it!”

Just then, a clear voice cut through the heavy silence, drawing everyone’s attention.

Could it be that Master Ye was about to intervene on behalf of the children?

Ning Xue’s eyes sparkled with hope as she looked toward the source of the voice.

“And who might you be?” inquired the doctor, eyeing Ye Tian with suspicion.

“This is Master Ye. He’s incredibly skilled. He might be able to help the children,” Ning Xue quickly interjected, introducing Ye Tian to the doctor.

“A master of what? Feng Shui?” one doctor scoffed.

“More like a charlatan preying on the sick for their money,” another muttered.

“How did he even get in here?”

The medical staff, upon hearing Ning Xue’s introduction, shook their heads in disbelief and ignored Ye Tian, turning instead to address the crowd. “We need to move quickly. Let’s get these children into the ambulance and off to the provincial city.”

“I’m telling you, don’t move the children recklessly, or it could cost them their lives!”

At that moment, Ye Tian stepped in front of the stretcher, his voice firm and deliberate.

“What do you know, you charlatan? Get out of the way!”

“What gives you the right to spout such nonsense?”

“Move aside, you fraud! Don’t hinder us real doctors from saving these kids!”

The doctors and nurses, witnessing Ye Tian’s bold intervention, looked at him with scorn and anger. Their disdainful glares were as if they were staring at a piece of garbage.

Ye Tian, unfazed by their harsh words, grew colder in his resolve. Yet, when his eyes met the pained expressions of the children on the stretchers, a softness touched his gaze, revealing an undeniable compassion.

Despite the option to remain uninvolved, Ye Tian knew the children were innocent and undeserving of scorn or discrimination.

With a determined clench of his jaw, Ye Tian locked eyes with the lead doctor and declared in a steady tone, "Give me three minutes, and I'll show you a miracle."

"Doctor, this master is truly skilled. He's the one who healed my grandfather," Ning Xue chimed in, eagerly advocating for Ye Tian.

"A miracle in three minutes? Sounds more like you're setting us up for a laugh," one of the skeptics jeered.

"He must be hooked on scamming people," another muttered disdainfully.

"Just get out of here! If you interfere with the treatment of these children, you'll have us to answer to! Security, remove him!" The doctors' voices rose in a chorus of outrage as soon as Ye Tian finished his plea.

The security team, fueled by the doctor's command, charged at Ye Tian with a menacing fervor.

"Back off!" Ye Tian's gaze hardened. With a swift motion, he sent the lead security guard tumbling to the ground as if his feet had been slicked with oil. The guard clutched his knees, howling in agony.

Yet, Ye Tian was unstoppable. Like an enraged lion, he dove into the fray. A mere touch from his hands sent the guards sprawling to the floor, their cries filling the air.

Within a mere two minutes, Ye Tian had all the security guards laid out on the ground.

The doctors stared at Ye Tian, their expressions a mix of astonishment and fear, utterly taken aback by his formidable prowess.

A hush fell over the hospital hall, the silence speaking volumes.

Seizing the moment of stillness, Ye Tian swiftly moved to the bedside of the nearest sick child.

With a quick motion, he lifted the child's shirt. Pressing his hands together, he rubbed them vigorously until heat radiated from his palms. Then, with lightning speed, he pressed his warmed hands onto the child's body.
