In a grand hall designed in the European court style, lavish carpets stretched across the floor, and crystal chandeliers cast a gentle glow that gilded the murals on the walls.
A small figure materialized silently, landing with precision on the sofa. The slight frame, with black hair and eyes, belonged to Liang Mu, who had just entered the world of Harry Porter. At eleven years old, he was at the perfect age to receive his letter from an owl.
Memories began to flood Liang Mu's mind, providing him with the necessary information for his new identity. Pretending to have amnesia was out of the question; he couldn't expect the NPCs in this quest world to be gullible.
Liang Mu was a Little Wizard from an Eastern wizarding family. After Lord Voldemort's defeat, his parents settled in England, offering substantial financial support to the recovering Wizard Realm and gaining considerable prestige. They successfully integrated into the social circles of the Pure-blood wizarding families.
This identity was quite advantageous, offering a top-tier start with wealth and influence at his disposal. It was unfortunate that he was rather unremarkable in appearance, but even that cost Liang Mu two hundred Game Coins.
"Young Master, Young Master."
An Old Steward with silver hair, dressed in a crisply tailored suit, entered the room. Despite the sweat on his brow and his labored breathing, he wore a beaming smile.
"What is it?"
Liang Mu smoothed his disheveled hair, adopting a genteel demeanor.
Upon seeing Liang Mu, the Old Steward's anxiety eased, and he caught his breath.
"Young Master, a letter from Hogwarts has arrived."
Liang Mu was somewhat taken aback; the letter had arrived so soon, quite an efficient delivery.
He extended his hand to receive the envelope. On its white surface was a shield-shaped emblem, quartered with a lion, an eagle, a badger, and a snake, and at the center, a prominent 'H' adorned the crest.
Liang Mu gazed at the envelope and inhaled deeply. His anticipation wasn't rooted in the excitement of joining Hogwarts; rather, he was psyching himself up for the beginning of the game.
Item: Hogwarts Admission Letter
Level: White
Type: One-time Mission Item
Function: The recipient of the letter gains entry to Hogwarts for study.
Description: From the moment of your birth, you are fated to be a student at Hogwarts.
So, the rumor of a book at Hogwarts capable of detecting all Little Wizards in England was true?
As Liang Mu pondered over the envelope, he wondered if the twenty other Players who had arrived with him had received theirs as well.
"Young Master, Young Master," the Old Steward interjected, noticing Liang Mu's distant gaze fixed on the envelope.
The Old Steward, a wizard himself, had never attended Hogwarts, but he knew well the institution's esteemed standing within the international Wizard Realm.
Unfolding the parchment from the envelope, Liang Mu admired Prof. Mcgonagall's exquisite handwriting, which was a delight to behold:
Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry
Headmaster: Albus Dumbledore (President of the International Confederation of Wizards, Order of Merlin, First Class, Grand Sorcerer, Chief Warlock of the Wizengamot)
Dear Mr. Liang Mu,

Enclosed is a list of the required books and equipment.
The term will begin on September 1st.
We await your owl with your response no later than August 31st.
Deputy Headmistress: Minerva Mcgonagall
Having watched the Harry Porter saga numerous times and collected many related items, Liang Mu treasured this envelope for its collectible value and carefully placed it into his Storage Space.
"Bring an owl here and prepare some gifts," Liang Mu instructed as he hopped off the couch, heading toward the bedroom he remembered.
Once the steward had departed, Liang Mu sipped his blueberry juice and perused the semi-digitized panel before him:

Liang Mu grasped the art knife beside him and, without a moment's hesitation, sliced into his own arm.
As the pain subsided, vivid blood oozed from the wound, vanishing a mere inch from his body. Subsequently, a new notification materialized before Liang Mu.

The art knife plunged into the wooden wardrobe, burying itself to the hilt.
Liang Mu's body shook uncontrollably, like a pre-eruption volcano.
A daunting aura emanated from him, engulfing the room. The panel before his eyes flickered uncertainly, its data becoming scrambled.
Though silent, the sensation was akin to the world ending.
Despite anticipating such an event when he signed that inequitable contract, Liang Mu felt a bitter reluctance at seeing his years of effort dissolve into nothingness.
Warning: The Player is in an abnormal state!
A red alert flashed before Liang Mu, clearly indicating the system had detected his unusual condition and was cautioning him against rash actions.
After three consecutive warnings, the panel shut down automatically, as if it had never existed.
Liang Mu closed his eyes, inhaled deeply, and after a prolonged moment, exhaled gently. The fearsome aura faded away, as if with that breath, Liang Mu had expelled all his vitality and spirit.
Liang Mu stood before the floor-to-ceiling window, gazing at the bright moon above, and let out a helpless sigh.
He unclenched his fist, removed the art knife, and meticulously returned the bedroom to its original state before quietly lying back down on the bed.
Per the terms of the previous contract, he had at least retained the ability to dream.
Several nights later, deep into the night.
Having spent many days adjusting, Liang Mu had managed to stabilize his emotions. He had come to terms with his current predicament and had thoroughly reviewed the information provided by Paradise.
Liang Mu accessed the panel. The data showed little change from before, with the sole exception being that the previous invitation prompt had been altered.
