C4 The Magic Staff Exploded
Ollivander let out a howl of pain and collapsed behind the counter, clutching his broken nose and writhing on the floor.
The Old Steward was shocked, momentarily frozen in disbelief.
Liang Mu remained composed as he pulled out a handkerchief to wipe his hand. He then nudged the Old Steward, urging him to attend to Ollivander's nose. Considering Ollivander's advanced age, any serious injury could be disastrous.
"Here, try this one, Young Master Liang Mu. It's made of Cornelian Cherry Wood, very responsive and lively."
The magic in the world of Harry Porter was truly wondrous. Ollivander's nose had been restored to its original state with a few minor spells, but the awkwardness lingering in the air was not so easily dispelled.
With a grimace, Ollivander watched as Liang Mu grasped the wand and channeled his Psychic Force into it. To his amazement, the Psychic Force seamlessly integrated with the wand as if it were an extension of his own body.
The wand absorbed the turbulent magic effortlessly, and as the magic infused, a sheen flowed over the surface of the thumb. Ollivander, observing from the side, nodded proudly. Indeed, it was his creation – a wand both elegant and understated.
But then, the wand's glow intensified, becoming blindingly bright like a miniature sun, and it began to shake beyond Liang Mu's control.
'This is bad!'
As his Psychic Force plummeted by 100 points, Liang Mu quickly tossed the wand behind the counter and took cover behind the Old Steward.
Boom~
The wand detonated in mid-air, showering the room with splinters of wood. The paper box wall, hit by the blast, wobbled and collapsed like a felled tree.
Feeling the room's magic power boil over, Liang Mu swiftly severed his Psychic Force to avoid being overwhelmed.
Ollivander, witnessing his wand's destruction, had his expression freeze in shock. Instinctively, he clutched at his chest, his aging heart having skipped a beat at the explosion.
The Old Steward, after a moment's hesitation, approached Ollivander with an ingratiating smile, only to be met with a stern glare that sent him retreating.
"This is my mistake, but every wizard can find the most suitable wand in Ollivander's shop."
As he said this, Ollivander waved the wand in his hand, attempting to use magic to restore everything to the way it was, but, regrettably, he was unsuccessful.
Looking at the undisturbed box, Ollivander noticed Liang Mu and the Old Steward gazing at the ceiling. He waved his wand again and recited a spell, but to no avail. The atmosphere turned awkward.
"Cough."
The Old Steward cleared his throat and stepped forward.
"Mr. Ollivander, I believe finding the right wand is what truly matters."
"You are absolutely correct; the customer is always right. Just a moment, please."
Ollivander nodded earnestly, put away his wand, and began earnestly searching the floor for the appropriate wand.
"Applewood, with a core of Black Serpent, very resilient. Give it a try."
Liang Mu carefully accepted it, and as he channeled his Psychic Force into the wand, it began to glow.
Ollivander's face fell, and he quickly retrieved the wand from Liang Mu's grasp.
"Ironwood, with a Fire Dragon's tooth, twelve inches, exceedingly sturdy."
Before Liang Mu could channel any more Psychic Force into it, the wand started to shake violently, as though it was filled with fear and dread.
"Merlin's beard, this can't be! Try this one, then this one. No, this isn't right, I should have known..." Ollivander's forehead was beaded with sweat, and he twisted the sparse white hairs on his head into a tangle.
Time passed, and the shop was cluttered with wands of all sorts on tables and floors. Ollivander even sent the Old Steward out of the store.
"How can this be? How can this be? There has to be a suitable wand."
Buried in the pile of wands, Ollivander continued to mutter, ostensibly to reassure Liang Mu, but it seemed more like he was reassuring himself. In that moment, he shared the wands' sense of fear.
Liang Mu, meanwhile, kept turning over boxes on the ground, uncovering hidden wands and casting them aside.
Unlike Ollivander, who relied on his knowledge and experience to search for wands, Liang Mu could exercise his privileges to view the properties of all items through the panel.
At this moment, each magic wand within Liang Mu's view bore a label detailing its construction materials and the compatibility rating with him.
Compatibility Rating: 2%

One label caught Liang Mu's eye, prompting him to stride forward eagerly.

Gazing at the black and purple wand, Liang Mu was momentarily at a loss for words. Indeed, this wand could grant control over life and death – it was, after all, a hefty stick. With Liang Mu's strength at ten points, a single blow from it could arguably be more effective than a spell.
Yet Ollivander had never displayed it, likely because he never really considered this stick to be a wand.
Grasping the wand, nothing unusual occurred. Liang Mu applied a bit of force, and the wand, which had been wedged in a corner, came loose.
Then, the box above began to topple. Prepared, Liang Mu quickly leaped aside.
Ah~
Ollivander's pained cry echoed as he found himself trapped under the fallen box. Unbeknownst to Liang Mu, who had been checking the panel, Ollivander had made his way over.
Liang Mu turned and headed for the exit, deciding it best to call the Old Steward to handle the situation.
"Well, Young Master Liang Mu, now that you've acquired your very first wand, I—"
Ollivander, propped up on the counter and clutching his lower back, forced a rigid smile. He was eager to see this young master off. As for the stick resembling a wand, who knew where it had come from? It had been there since his childhood.
"I believe you should take good care of it. Allow me to recommend this maintenance package for you..."
Watching Ollivander's forlorn expression, Liang Mu squinted slightly and pulled out ten Golden Galleons from his pocket, laying them on the table with a nonchalant air.
"I want the best."
Ollivander's gaze fixed on the Golden Galleons, a gleam of sharp interest replacing his earlier despondency.
"You truly value your wand."
As he reached for the Golden Galleons, a small hand intervened, prompting a frown from him.
"Does Young Master Liang Mu have any further requests?"
Liang Mu placed the ten Golden Galleons into Ollivander's hand, locking eyes with him.
"Do I look handsome?"
Ollivander's face contorted slightly.
Upon exiting Ollivander's wand shop, both Liang Mu and the Old Steward wore expressions of triumph and relief.
Indeed, it's difficult to argue that a man isn't handsome when he's wealthy, particularly when he's generous with his wealth.
