Horace and Mora made their way back to the town first, as Horace was too frail to endure a lengthy trek. Mora removed a door panel to construct a makeshift sled for him, making it much easier for her to either pull or push him along.

She also fashioned a pair of skis for herself, but realized that pulling the sled through the deep snow would be too slow for skiing; walking was her only option
