C3 A great victory on the expedition
Ye Dong clapped again. The peaceful basin was suddenly surrounded by the rain of arrows. The 300 archers lying in ambush on both sides of the basin kept shooting towards the Prince.
The First Prince did his best to knock down two arrows that were shooting towards him:
"Despicable person!" "Everyone, don't stay here any longer. We will charge out together in one go!"
The first prince was about to rush to Ye Dong with his army.
Ye Dong clapped for the third time, from hell.
A large portion of the First Prince's horse was thrown to the ground by the rope that had suddenly appeared from the ground. The First Prince and the other soldiers behind him hurriedly controlled their own horses, but there were still many of their compatriots who were trampled by the horse's hooves, their screams resounding through the valley.
Before the first prince could curse Ye Dong, four huge rocks fell from the sky, completely cutting off his path and encircling him in the middle of the valley.
Ye Dong looked down at the besieged prince from the top of the broken wall.
"Rather than fighting like a cornered beast, I believe that the first prince is a smart person."
The prince stopped struggling as he saw there was nowhere to go. He looked at Ye Dong with bloodthirsty eyes and said,
"I only have men who die in battle in my Turk, there are no men who surrender. If you want to kill me, kill me!"
He was not angry about the prince's refusal to cooperate with him.
"Is it true that good men have nothing to do with understanding the situation? Does the first prince think that wasting the lives of five hundred people on this meaningless affair is interesting?" Thought? To be honest, I don't need you to betray your country or use you to threaten the people of Turkic. I just don't want the war to end as soon as possible. In fact, there's no difference between killing you now and bringing you back as prisoners, but to tell you the truth, I don't need you to betray your country or use you to threaten the people of Turkic. I just don't want war, I want to end it as soon as possible. In fact, it makes no difference to me whether I kill you or take you back as my captives. But, what I bear by killing you and I is not only the blood debt of the five hundred of you, but also the blood debt of your family back in your homeland. I am not afraid to bear the guilt.
Ye Dong could just wave his hand and have the soldiers throw the falling stone down, but as a modern man, he did not want to see blood splashing everywhere. The Great Dream Man and the Turkic man were not much different to him.
The First Prince's eyes flashed.
"You think I would believe your lies!"
"Look around you at all those Turkic heroes who are so far away from your hometown with you."
Ye Dong pointed to the soldiers around the prince who were still doing their duty to protect him.
"We pledge our lives to protect the first prince."
"First Prince, don't listen to this person's nonsense. We would rather die fighting than be used as weapons to harm our hometown people!"
"If I, the first prince, were to survive as a prisoner, I would rather die here!"
...
Ye Dong did not expect that his words would arouse the blood of the Turkic soldiers. He sighed and waved his hand. The place where the first prince and five hundred soldiers were standing was instantly buried by rocks.
Blood flowed out from the crack in the stone, staining the ground red. Although the soldiers of Great Dream had won, no one cheered. This was a battle of life and death.
After a quarter of an hour, it was like a silent ceremony. Ye Dong led the soldiers to clean up the mess.
Although no one could survive such a situation, Ye Dong still had to be careful.
When Ye Dong was looking around, the soldiers who were cleaning up behind him suddenly shouted,
"Lord Ye Dong, come here and take a look!"
Ye Dong stepped forward and saw the prince, who should have been dead, surrounded by a human shield made up of soldiers. He was heavily injured and had fainted.
"Men, bring the first prince back to the military doctors to treat him. Take good care of him."
Ye Dong got on his horse and said,
"You stay here and clean up the battlefield. The rest of you, follow me back to the general."
"Yes sir!"
Ye Dong and a thousand men went back to the battlefield.
The Great Dream and the Turkic soldiers had entered the white-hot phase of battle.
When Ye Dong had joined the battle, the third prince had lost his advantage in an instant. Not far away, the Turkic general had also noticed that the battle was coming to an end.
After repelling the Great Dream, General Turkic hurried over to the third prince's side:
"Third Prince, I wonder if you've seen the first prince?"
The Turkic general helped the third prince push Ye Dong away, and Ye Dong didn't want to get entangled with them. He immediately went back to his horse.
"I have long heard of the great reputation of the Turkic general, General Dazhi. The First Prince and I are staying in the tent of my Great Dream. "
Ye Dong shook his face, which made General Turkic grind his teeth:
"I never thought that the Great Dream would actually produce such a cunning and treacherous person like you!"
General Dazhi believed that Ye Dong would not be able to catch the first prince in a fair fight.
Ye Dong was smiling even harder after he heard what General Da Ya said.
"Thank you for your praise, General Darkfang. The ancients never loathed words, never loathed words."
General Dazhi wanted to smash Ye Dong's face, but when he saw the generals and troops gathered around him, he could only glare at him fiercely.
"Next time I see you, I will definitely ask you for advice on military strategies!"
The Turkic army quickly retreated. Ye Dong didn't stop them anymore.
This war could be considered a great dream victory, and he had also captured the first prince of the Turkic Empire, which was considered as having taken control of half of the power in the subsequent war. There was a small celebration at the Great Dream's camp that night.
Ye Dong's scheme had ended the war earlier than usual. It was his first time winning the war against Turkmen. It was also the least deaths for us. Many leaders and generals looked at Ye Dong with interest.
One of the young generals walked out and stood in front of Ye Dong with a glass of wine.
"Vice General Ye Dong, what a good plan! With just a wave of his hand, we have taken care of five hundred enemies. He even brought back the first prince as a hostage, which has broadened our horizons."
Ye Dong couldn't tell that the man was mocking him. He was afraid that a lot of people, whether they were friends or enemies, were dissatisfied with him.
Ye Dong smiled and drank the glass that the general handed to him.
"I have to talk about the benevolence and righteousness of the enemy, but …"
Ye Dong stood up and walked into the crowd:
"Perhaps everyone felt that I was cold-blooded and heartless, and felt that I was a schemer, but I didn't care because to me, only being alive was the true reality. We might be able to fight the Turkic today, but the battlefield is not a place for individuals to play the hero. We have to pay the price for what we did and did, if the battle continues to this day, we can still win, but who can guarantee that the number of deaths will be lower than mine? "
The laughter died down because of Ye Dong's words. Ye Dong looked at the crowd and continued,
"Out of the five hundred people here, which veteran survived the battle and dares to say that he didn't kill anyone? Which general or captain would kill less than this number?" Killing does not lessen sin by being too small, but we still have to pick up our butcher knives, because behind us, there are many more lives that rely on the weapons in our hands to protect us! Sometimes, killing is just for the sake of not killing, killing is just for the sake of dying. There is no war worth forgiving, and the sin of carrying the cross is to be killed without even turning back. Rather than killing senselessly, it would be better to end the war as soon as possible. That would truly be benevolent. "
Every day the war dragged on would cost more than 500 people, and resources were being sacrificed on the surface. The civilians who were crushed by the heavy taxation were the persecuted, and the families who were separated from their fathers and husbands were also the sins of war. Ye Dong had been to Iraq during the war, and the Middle East was surrounded by wars, poverty, disease, and hunger.
Ye Dong knew the pain of war and the happiness of peace.
"One General's success is akin to ten thousand dried up bones." It's better to be a peaceful dog than a stray dog. "
Ye Dong's words reminded the newly arrived recruits of the battlefield, which had been massacred. Those generals who had been away from home for many years now remembered the eyes of their loved ones back home.
Ye Dong did not count the number of people secretly wiping the corners of their eyes because his nose was sore too.
The major general who had questioned Ye Dong in the beginning had lost his vigor.
"I can't do it now that Lord Ye Dong has said so!"
Ye Dong looked into the eyes of the Major General and his voice was spread all over the camp,
"I just want a clear conscience!"
How could there be so much time in a war to distinguish between right and wrong? As long as he could live up to his expectations, his conscience was the best thing that could be said for him.
That night's words had made both the general and the soldiers trust Ye Dong. In the future battles, Ye Dong would be the commander.
Ye Dong had used a counterplot to lure the snake out of its cave, luring the third prince into the forest and successfully capturing him.
Two princes were captured in a row, so General Darkya had to agree to talk to Ye Dong.
The main reason why the Turks attacked the Great Dream was because the Great Dream was rich in materials. Before autumn or winter, the Turks could only move to the grasslands to solve their material shortages. The Great Dream had always been a place they yearned for.
Ye Dong had promised that he would be able to trade with the Turkic army as long as they withdrew. He also promised that he would deal with the Turkic army, and he would definitely deal with the two safe and healthy princes of the Turkic kingdom.
Ye Dong had never planned to kill the two princes. The two of them were restraining each other and fighting for the position of the Turkic King was good for him.
When the Turkic army retreated, Ye Dong let the two princes go back at the same time, which surprised everyone.
The Turkic side felt that Ye Dong really wanted to cooperate with them.
Great Dream felt that Ye Dong was confident. Even if he let go of the hostage now, he was confident that he could bring Ye Dong back.
