C6 Breakthrough!!

The Punishment Pavilion is where the Yeh Family disciplines its errant members. By all accounts, Yeh Yulin should have been sent there, but Yeh Haishan was terrified at the prospect. He knew that the Pavilion's officials, despite their disdain for the family's notorious failure, would handle the investigation with unwavering impartiality.

The existence of 'Family Rules' is crucial for the longevity of a family. Without them, a family cannot endure. Consequently, the Punishment Pavilion operates with absolute fairness, allowing no room for compromise or negotiation.

A common adage within the Yeh Family goes, "Handle all matters, big or small, outside the Punishment Pavilion." This implies that any unsavory business not fit for public scrutiny should be resolved discreetly to avoid the Pavilion's involvement. Otherwise, no one would escape unscathed. The Punishment Pavilion would turn a blind eye to issues that don't reach their doorstep.

If Yeh Haishan were to send Yeh Yulin to the Punishment Pavilion, he would be the one to bear the brunt of the consequences. His face turned a ghastly pale as he noticed the odd looks from those around him, especially the bizarre glances from his peers. He was so infuriated that he nearly choked on his rage, never anticipating that Yeh Yulin would outmaneuver him. How did that scoundrel muster such audacity!

"You're not worth the trouble of involving the Punishment Pavilion!" Yeh Haishan scoffed with icy disdain. "You're a disgrace to our family, a piece of garbage. You don't even deserve to step foot inside the Punishment Pavilion."

Yeh Yulin met Yeh Haishan's gaze with a cold sneer, choosing to remain silent. He had no intention of taking this matter to the Pavilion; he preferred to seek vengeance on his own terms.

Yeh Yulin's mocking laughter pushed Yeh Haishan over the edge. He strode forward and landed a punch that sent Yeh Yulin flying. Yet, Yeh Yulin struggled to his feet, slowly but determinedly. He refused to bow before Yeh Haishan, no matter the odds.

Yeh Haishan's fury intensified. This was precisely why he loathed Yeh Yulin: no matter how many times he was knocked down, he always got back up, enduring until his assailants were exhausted, but never himself succumbing.

Continuing the fight seemed pointless now; he couldn't even sense any humiliation being directed at Yeh Yulin anymore.

Suddenly, Yeh Haishan caught sight of Kong Yaer off to the side and a sinister smile crept across his face.

From the corpse of the Single-horn Wolf, Yeh Haishan deduced that there were only two possibilities: either Kong Yaer had collaborated with Yeh Yulin to kill the Single-horn Wolf, or Yeh Yulin had rescued Kong Yaer.

The latter seemed more probable.

This was particularly true given that he had just witnessed Kong Yaer persistently pursuing Yeh Yulin, which further solidified his belief.

"Well then, I'll make sure you understand the consequences of playing the hero," Yeh Haishan said, looking at Kong Yaer with a mocking smile. "Hey, lady, I'll give you a chance for revenge!"

Kong Yaer shuddered at his words, fearfully gazing at Yeh Haishan.

Yeh Haishan continued, "Since Yeh Yulin robbed you and attempted to dishonor you, as a woman, you're entitled to retaliate. Even the Yeh Family won't object. Go on, give his face a good stomp."

The onlookers were taken aback.

One of Yeh Haishan's companions whispered to the others, "Yeh Haishan sure knows how to play games, doesn't he?"

The rest chuckled quietly, leaning against the city wall with arrogant and indolent demeanors, quietly observing the spectacle.

In a powerful family, the survival of the fittest was a brutal reality.

Kong Yaer was trembling with fear.

She was expected to step on Yeh Yulin?

He was a member of the Yeh Family, and even if deemed worthless, he was still one of their own!

A dog from a prestigious noble house was held in higher regard than someone from a lesser noble family; this was an accepted truth. Even if the present members of the Yeh Family remained silent, it was likely that other members would hold a grudge against her. That could very well spell her doom.

Yeh Haishan watched Kong Yaer with an icy gaze and commanded, "Go on then. He's barely able to stand as it is."

Kong Yaer was trembling all over, frozen in place.

Yeh Haishan understood exactly why these minor nobles flocked to No-falling City. They were all angling to ingratiate themselves with a member of the Yeh Family, hoping to transform themselves into a phoenix soaring high on the branches.

Among these minor nobles, who were stuck in a limbo between the high and low tiers of society, ambition ran deepest. They craved power far more than the common folk.

No-falling City was teeming with such nobles, and Yeh Haishan was not opposed to offering the woman before him an opportunity, provided she assisted him in fulfilling his purpose.

Yeh Haishan approached Kong Yaer with measured steps, leaned down, and murmured in her ear, "Just do as I tell you, and you'll be able to leave with me shortly."

His words ignited a startling fervor in Kong Yaer's eyes, a fusion of ambition and insanity.

"I... will do it!"

Kong Yaer turned and made her way toward Yeh Yulin. But after just a couple of steps, she came to an abrupt halt, stopped by Yeh Yulin's piercing gaze.

Yeh Yulin stood before Kong Yaer, his expression one of cool detachment, silently observing her.

His quiet was unnerving.

So quiet it was suffocating.

So quiet it induced panic.

So quiet it made one's skin crawl.

Even Yeh Haishan and his companions felt a surge of restlessness at the sight of Yeh Yulin's current state.

Should he be this silent? Surely, he should be raging at this moment!

Any person would lose their composure under such humiliation!

"What's the matter? Not going?" Yeh Haishan barked at Kong Yaer.

"Yeh Haishan!" a companion of Yeh Haishan's called out, then whispered more softly, "Let it go!"

Yeh Haishan clenched his jaw and huffed, glaring at Kong Yaer as he commanded, "Go!"

With her teeth gritted and eyes ablaze with a crazed thirst for power, Kong Yaer took a determined step forward.

What was Yeh Yulin to her? Merely a piece of garbage scorned by the Yeh Family. If she could just trample on him, she would ascend to the ranks of true nobility—a prize many would vie for.

Upon witnessing this, Yeh Yulin let out a gentle laugh, his teeth glinting in the sunlight.

His grin immediately conjured up images of the devil in Kong Yaer's mind, filling her with an indescribable terror. She screamed and collapsed to the ground.

Yeh Haishan's face turned a shade of iron at the sight of this debacle.

"Yeh Haishan, save your strength. I'll handle this!" Yeh Yulin said to Yeh Haishan, his smile barely concealing the hysteria lurking in the depths of his eyes, which erupted into a thunderous roar.

"I'll break a tooth of yours even if it kills me!"

"Crack!"

Suddenly, a faint crisp sound emanated from his body.

Inside him, an ancient horn began to emerge at the site of his heart...

In that instant, it was as though a Desolate Beast that had been slumbering for eons opened its eyes, its pupils emitting an indifferent glow.

"Thump thump!"

A forceful heartbeat echoed in Yeh Yulin's ears, causing his entire body to shudder.

His pupils shrank dramatically.

He could sense the change.

With each heartbeat, his Spiritual Force underwent a rapid transformation.

The Spirit Flame began to flicker with life.

It was still the same Spirit Flame.

His cultivation remained a challenge.

But now, everything had changed.

It was as if a fish had transformed into a dragon.

As if a chrysalis had burst open to release a butterfly.

Yeh Yulin charged at Yeh Haishan.

"Looking for death!" Yeh Haishan sneered as Yeh Yulin entered his range, and he launched a punch, intending to send Yeh Yulin rolling back before he could land an attack!

This time, however, he was met with disappointment.

"Snap!"

With a soft sound, Yeh Haishan's fist was firmly grasped in Yeh Yulin's hand, his sneer freezing on his face.

Yeh Yulin burst into maniacal laughter.

"Yeh Haishan, do you realize?" Yeh Yulin held Yeh Haishan's fist with such force that Yeh Haishan's face turned red.

How had Yeh Yulin's strength become so formidable? Moments ago, it was less than half of what it was now!

Previously, using Spiritual Force had left his arm bruised, but now, with his strength doubled, it was more than a bruise—it was sheer agony.

Yeh Yulin gazed at Yeh Haishan, particularly noting the pain flickering in his eyes. He burst into wild laughter, his arm's veins standing out starkly, a faint red glow emanating from them.

"People change, even if it's just in the blink of an eye!"

With Yeh Yulin's bellow, his fist brutally crashed into Yeh Haishan.

Feeling the overwhelming force of the strike, a hint of terror finally crept onto Yeh Haishan's face.
