C10 Devil Subduing Army Soul
The Six-head Flood Dragon sensed an immense threat looming over it. All six of its gaping maws opened simultaneously, unleashing divine abilities of wind, fire, poison, lightning, and other elements in succession. These varied elemental forces intertwined and coalesced into a rapidly spinning tornado.
The fierce gales howled through the mountains and valleys, uprooting rocks and ancient trees, which were helplessly drawn toward the vortex's core. The Heavenly Divine Water, with the weight of a hundred million tons, came crashing down. Undeterred, the Six-head Flood Dragon summoned the tornado to meet the onslaught.
With a thunderous "Boom!" the Heavenly Divine Water's relentless force began to dismantle the elemental tornado. It held firm for only a brief moment before dispersing. Yet, this brief resistance lessened the impact of the Heavenly Divine Water, significantly easing the burden on the Six-head Flood Dragon. Despite the assault, which left its scales shattered and its body bleeding, the dragon's core remained unscathed.
Before the Six-head Flood Dragon could regain its bearings, Ye Fann, wielding the God Slaying Spear, charged into the fray. He had released twelve seals, bestowing upon the spear the formidable power of a Middle Grade Innate Spiritual Treasure. The spear's tip glinted with a chilling light, embodying the innate essence of killing. With Ye Fann's full might behind it, the spear's power was nothing short of terrifying.
The Six-head Flood Dragon's tough scales were no match for the God Slaying Spear. Harnessing the blistering velocity granted by the Soaring Earth Golden Light, Ye Fann danced nimbly across the dragon's form. Each thrust of his spear, powered by his formidable strength and the weapon's might, tore through flesh and shattered bone. The Killing Power surged like an unstoppable torrent into the dragon, ravaging its vitality.
Wracked with pain, the Six-head Flood Dragon unleashed its divine abilities in a frenzy. Fireballs, torrents of poison, bolts of lightning, and violent hurricanes were all hurled in desperation at Ye Fann.
The Soaring Earth Golden Light granted Ye Fann incredible speed. In the blink of an eye, he could effortlessly move from one location to another. Despite the formidable attacks from the Six-head Flood Dragon, they failed to land a single hit on Ye Fann. The dragon exerted all its might in vain, its efforts fruitless.
"Break!" Ye Fann bellowed, launching himself skyward. His God Slaying Spear radiated a dazzling light as he struck, obliterating the rightmost head of the Six-head Flood Dragon. Blood gushed forth, drenching the valley as flesh and bone littered the landscape, the remnants flowing with the blood.
The Six-head Flood Dragon, sensing imminent death and reeling from the agony of its severed head, let out a mournful cry from its remaining heads. The sound was a mix of a dragon's lament and a beast's howl. Shuddering, the dragon unleashed a tremendous force that repelled Ye Fann. Determined, it turned and attempted to flee.
"River Tide!" commanded Ye Fann. The Heavenly Divine Water transformed into a colossal waterfall, spanning 100,000 feet and connecting heaven and earth. A single drop of this Heavenly Divine Water weighed as much as a vast lake. The exact lake it could be compared to remained a mystery, but the sheer mass of this towering cascade was beyond calculation. The space itself seemed to warp under its immense weight.
With a thunderous "Boom!" the Heavenly Divine Water crashed down upon the Six-head Flood Dragon with celestial force. The dragon's massive frame was tossed about like a small boat in a tempest, flung a million meters away, its scales nearly all stripped away.
The God Slaying Spear in Ye Fann's grasp obliterated all in its path. He exerted his full might, piercing straight through two heads of the Six-head Flood Dragon. Aware of its impending doom, the dragon lashed out with ferocity, thrashing its massive form and launching a vicious swipe at Ye Fann. In its Peak Golden Immortal fury, the colossal creature's body crashed into the mountains, reducing them to rubble. Mountains towering tens of thousands of feet high crumbled, crushing countless demons into a gory mire.
"A futile struggle!" the remaining three heads roared, their gaping maws lunging at Ye Fann. Unflinching, he gripped the God Slaying Spear and charged forward. His body, now on par with a Low Grade Acquired Spiritual Treasure, rendered him impervious to the dragon's might. "Submit!" he commanded. True to his word, within moments, the dragon's mountainous head detonated in a spectacular explosion. The Six-head Flood Dragon, now grievously weakened, had less than a tenth of its power left. The last of its heads burst apart, marking its violent end.
Before Ye Fann could even take a breath, a surge of even more ferocious Demonic Qi raced across the sky from the horizon, darkening the skies above Demon Mountain. A chilling gale screamed through the valleys, stirring the leaves into a frenzy.
"The Demon King!" exclaimed the Genuine Immortal and Demon General, their voices brimming with elation. From the depths of the swirling black miasma, a middle-aged man emerged, clad in a Taoist robe, his hair coiled into twin buns, with a long sword slung across his back and a gourd hanging at his waist. Lean and hawk-like in appearance, his piercing gaze swept over the crowd with an intimidating glint.
Sensing an immense threat, Ye Fann quickly scanned the newcomer with his system. The man's attributes appeared on the display:
Name: Wing Immortal
Position: Registered Disciple
Workplace: Intercept Sect
Ye Fann was taken aback. He had never expected the Demon King to be none other than the Wing Immortal from the Intercept Sect. But soon enough, he pieced it all together. The Wing Immortal was originally a Golden Roc from the demon race, a creature known for its inherent cruelty. He had once devoured an entire small country, along with its million human inhabitants, in a single gulp. Afterward, he joined the Intercept Sect as a registered disciple. However, the sect's regulations were loose; Saint Tongtian only instructed him in the ways of cultivation and did not constrain his actions or correct his vicious habits. As a result, the Wing Immortal had become the Demon King, continuing to prey on humans for sustenance.
"The lapdog of the Heavenly Court dares to trespass on my domain and slay my followers!" Wing Immortal's voice boomed like thunder, resonating in the minds of all who heard it.
"Wing Immortal, as a disciple of the Dao Sect, how can you commit such atrocities? You bring shame upon your sect; your sins are unforgivable!" Ye Fann called out defiantly, unshaken by the threat before him.
"Humans are mere food, as insignificant as ants. Their deaths are inconsequential. What sins are there to speak of?" Wing Immortal retorted with a haughty laugh, seeing no fault in his actions and considering them entirely justified.
The Intercept Sect, known for its principle of teaching without discrimination, had seen a time when immortals flocked to its ranks, creating a period of great prosperity. However, the caliber of its disciples varied greatly. The sect had yet to curb their wild nature, and many, like Wing Immortal, acted without regard for the law.
In this era, humans were the protagonists of the Heavenly Court. Even the Six Saints had ascended to their positions by leveraging the human race's achievements. The Heavenly Court, too, was committed to eradicating demons in service to humanity, aligning itself with the Heavenly Dao. Yet here was Wing Immortal, brazenly massacring humans. Within the ranks of the Intercept Sect, there were countless others like him, who flouted the rules with impunity.
