C15 Angry Buddha and Golden King Kong

On the bed, Ding Yue's eyelashes quivered ever so slightly.

Moments later, he opened his eyes, which had been closed for several days, and sat up to survey his surroundings.

Almost immediately, he assumed a cross-legged position and formed a seal with his hands, channeling his consciousness into his body.

After a brief pause, he opened his eyes once more, patted his head, and mused, "I've ascended to the Transcending realm. I can now merge my mind with my body."

The twelve primary meridians, the three Yang meridians of the hand, the three Yang meridians of the foot, the three Yin meridians of the hand, and the three Yin meridians of the foot were all present.

Within the eight extraordinary meridians, a strand of green Essence Qi, born from the spirit of wood, meandered slowly alongside streams of gold and silver Qi.

This nourished the meridians, now nearly twice as robust as those in the Qi Refining stage. A thin, golden film covered the surface of his bones, while at the joints, a silvery liquid filled the crevices.

In his dantian, a slowly rotating vortex took the shape of a Yin Yang fish, one side dazzling with gold and the other side resplendent with silver, separated by a slender green line with a black and white dot embedded on either side, representing the eyes of the Yin Yang fish.

After some time, Ding Yue retracted his focus.

His eyes opened, gleaming with flecks of gold and silver.

He leaped from the bed and threw a series of punches, generating gusts of wind that rattled the vase on the table. The power in his muscles had increased more than tenfold.

"Ah, I can now manipulate objects with my mind." With this realization, he concentrated intently, directing his Essence Qi from his dantian through his meridians and into his hand. Pointing at a porcelain bottle, he uttered softly, "Rise."

The bottle, standing three yards away, wobbled as it lifted off the table, ascending a few inches before it began to drift towards him. Midway, the bottle tipped and plummeted towards the floor.

With a swift motion, Ding Yue caught it, exhaling in relief, and murmured, "That was close. Otherwise, my master would've been upset for quite a while."

His soliloquy was interrupted by laughter from behind. "Young Master, you're finally awake. Hehe."

Turning around, Ding Yue expressed his heartfelt thanks, "Uncle Vine, you've put in so much effort these past few days."

Even in his unconscious state, Ding Zhen was aware that each day he was gently placed into a custom-made bathtub to cleanse his body of the impurities expelled after advancing to the Transcending Realm. Following the cleansing, a medicinal concoction prepared by Liu Wuya was added to the bath to better stimulate the latent Buddhist light and Mountaincrush Force within him for future awakening.

In his slumber, he could faintly make out conversations happening near his bedside, giving him a vague understanding of the unusual events that transpired after he had collapsed, coughing blood on the cliff.

Despite his efforts to awaken, he remained trapped in unconsciousness until the Buddhist light and Mountaincrush Force within him harmonized with the spirit energy of wood, achieving a balance of yin and yang that finally roused him from his coma.

Without Liu Wuya's century-old wood essence energy, he would have either perished or remained in a perpetual state of unconsciousness.

"Young Master, there's no need for thanks. Our master was kind to us, and we have our own reasons for helping," they said.

"Oh?" Ding Yue was momentarily taken aback before laughing. "Ah, when one achieves enlightenment, it elevates everyone around them."

"Young Master, if one day you reach a pinnacle that hasn't been attained in over a hundred thousand years, we old fellows will surely benefit from your success," the wooden vine said with a warm smile, looking at Ding Yue with the affection one reserves for a cherished younger relative.

"Enough talk for now. You haven't had a bite to eat in days; we're all waiting for you to break your fast."

"I don't feel hungry," Ding Yue replied, patting his stomach.

"It's true that after entering the Transcending realm, you can go without food for ten days or even half a month. But, Young Master, you'd miss out on the exquisite food and drink."

Ding Yue quickly shook his head, "I wouldn't miss it. I've heard that even the most powerful cultivators, capable of reaching the heavens, sometimes hide their presence to enjoy the simple pleasure of a tavern."

"Immortals and Buddhas were once human too; the quest for eternal life is a desire like any other. Yet, with immortality, they can indulge in their personal desires for much longer."

"Even the Buddha and the Daoist Lords, having achieved supreme eternity, still have their disciples spread their teachings far and wide, ensuring their legacies endure through the generations and their teachings flourish."

"Uncle Teng, you're absolutely right," the two said as they stepped out of the room and walked around the curved railing. "But right now, the real wisdom lies in enjoying a good meal."

"Haha, Young Master, you've got it," Mu Teng chuckled, stroking his beard.

After dinner, they convened in the library, where Old Ghost produced a hefty tome. He brandished it, saying, "Young Master, while you were out of it, I made a trip to the 'Crystal Sect.' I traded a fifth-level Treasure Pill for this book, which Monk Dabing translated into the Central Region's language."

"And I used another sixth-level Miraculous Pill to access the secret Buddhist teachings he's translated."

Noticing Old Ghost's look of regret, Ding Yue felt a surge of gratitude, though he merely smiled outwardly.

"The pill, I crafted it. You look as though you've sold your own child," Liu Wuya remarked with a hint of sarcasm.

"You, you old blockhead. I was hoping—"

Liu Wuya raised his hand to cut off Old Ghost, turning to Ding Yue, "Ding, write out the Sanskrit that's entered your body and translate it into the Central Region's language. Then, begin your practice as soon as possible. The Buddhist Sect's supreme teachings are hard to come by outside the Western Region." Liu Wuya shook his head, "It's a rare find indeed!"

Ding Yue nodded earnestly, then closed his eyes in concentration. Moments later, he began to transcribe the Sanskrit characters onto paper, repeating the process meticulously.

An hour passed as Old Ghost consulted the book, translating the Sanskrit into the Central Region's language. Lines of text emerged before them all: "I am the Venerable Buddha Wrath."

These simple words exchanged glances of astonishment between Old Ghost and Liu Wuya. In Buddhism, a Venerable is a revered figure, second only to the Buddha himself.

They sensed something extraordinary about the scripture bathed in the Buddha's light, never imagining it was the work of a Venerable. Joy filled their hearts as they marveled at Ding Yue's incredible fortune.

"If it weren't for—" The thought struck them, and they promptly refocused, quelling any hint of avarice.

They exchanged another look, both faces flushing with embarrassment. They caught sight of the wooden vine craning its neck, intently scrutinizing the characters on the paper, a flicker of shame crossing their cheeks. They surreptitiously wiped the sweat from their brows and continued to read.

I am the Venerable Buddha Wrath.

Upon attaining the Golden Arhat level, I created this unique Buddhist technique known as the Vajra Buddha. It is barely an Earth-level movement skill; upon full mastery, one would stand nine feet tall, capable of shattering mountains and rivers with a fist, their body as hard as fine steel.

Should a fortunate individual acquire the supplementary cultivation technique of the Mountaincrush Force, this Buddhist scripture could be further advanced.

Upon reading this, the wooden vine scratched his head and said, "This Buddhist scripture can be advanced." His eyes suddenly sparkled as he looked at Ding Yue with excitement. "Young Master, you've inherited the Mountaincrush Force. Isn't it..."

"Silence, we'll discuss it after you've finished reading," Liu Wuya interjected with impatience.

Before I shattered the void and soared through the Eight Extremities, I left the upper half of the cultivation technique in the western part of the Central Region, at the Great Buddhist Temple.

Moreover, I'll share a little secret with the destined one.

My original form is that of a Six-armed Diamond Ape. Haha, I hope the destined one will propagate the true Buddhist teachings, honoring the legacy I've left behind.

The translation ended there. After a moment, everyone inhaled deeply, the cool air from outside filling their lungs.

"It's a shame we only have the first half of the cultivation technique," the wooden vine lamented with a hint of regret.

"The first half isn't too bad. What if we were to obtain the second half first?" Old Ghost remarked, quite satisfied.

"There must be a profound reason behind the Venerable Buddha Wrath's arrangement. In the future, Ding Yue will surely make a journey to the western region," Liu Wuya mused, glancing at Ding Yue's somber expression. "Ding, what's on your mind with that look?"

"Ah, just another legacy to uphold in the future. My fate is truly a hard one!"

"You think you have it hard?" Old Ghost glared at him, chiding with a chuckle, "I was feeling sorry for those two pills earlier. Now, I wouldn't trade this half of the Buddhist scripture for an Immortal Pill."

Liu Wuya nodded and remarked, "Absolutely. If we auction it off, the premium Primal Stones could fetch tens of millions, and there's no doubt someone would vie for an Immortal Pill."

"Even if we can't practice this form of Buddhism, you're really willing to auction it off?" The old ghost's tone was teasing.

"It all depends on the circumstances," the old ghost replied, a sly smile playing at the corner of his mouth.

"Enough with the back-and-forth, you two. Let's get the rest of the text translated," Liu Wuya chided. "After that, we need to set up Ding Yue's course for the Transcending phase."

Ding Yue touched his nose, lamenting inwardly, "Here we go again, the hard times are starting up."
