C33 Ghost shrine
Seeing the four big words on the shabby entrance of the Ancestral Temple, I naturally knew that this must be the hall that Miao Village had built back then.
Ancestral shrine, also known as ancestral temple, ancestral shrine, ancestral hall. It is a place where the Han people set up their ancestors' ancestral tablet, hold sacrificial ceremonies, and engage in family affairs. It was usually in the place where the ancestors first lived that the old houses were converted into shrines; when some families built their homes, they often built their shrines first. Ancestral hall is usually located in the east side of the main (front hall), pay attention to three two outer doors. The main gate was not normally opened, but it would only open when the Second Sacrifice of Spring and Autumn or when his clansmen were discussing important matters. Outside the main hall, there was a small house with a collection of sacrifices and wills. It was surrounded by a separate building. The ordinary ancestral hall had only one main hall, which had four alcoves (also 8 to 10) and a cabinet in the middle of the alcoves. The ancestral tablets (called the "tablet of God") were stored in the altars, and the altars and names of the four altars were, in turn, the official positions and names of Kao Zu, Kao Zu and Kao, and their parents. In front of each niche, there is a long, low table for offering. In some ancestral shrines, the new male disciples of the Vatican clans would affix a piece of red paper to the pillar, giving the names of their eldest sons (or their second sons) and giving their names to the ancestors, indicating that they would report this matter to their ancestors.
In front of him was a tall building, in front of him were six wooden pillars, five moon beams and four square beams, the structure was strict and the layout was well-proportioned. The square beam face carved exquisite design, the middle one is "Nine-Lions ball covered with brocade", the second one is "Nine-Dragon drama beads full of stars", both sides of the wood beam carved for the characters. Inside the gate building was the main hall of the ancestral hall, which was a stretch of dark forest.
Seeing this, we were very puzzled. Previously, we clearly saw the bright lights here from afar, but now that we approached, we discovered that it was pitch black. The night wind was dismal, and the surroundings were deathly silent. Where was the fire?
We won't believe that we were seeing things. If we were seeing things, we wouldn't have been able to look at flowers at the same time. The light we saw earlier was definitely coming from the Miao Family's ancestral hall. Furthermore, he could see it from so far away. It was obvious that the fire here was not small.
My heart was filled with doubts. Then, I started to look around the ancestral hall of the Miao Family, because my uncle in the village had mentioned before that the entire village was wiped out because of this ancestral hall. It was obvious that this ancestral hall was not simple at all.
The buildings of the ancestral hall were mostly about feng shui, because the ancestral hall was about the prosperity of a clan. If there was any problem with the Feng Shui, then it would be a waste of money and the entire clan would die.
But when I took a closer look at the Feng Shui of this ancestral hall, I couldn't help but be shocked. How could this be? He suddenly felt a tinge of fear in his heart. His resentment was soaring to the heavens! To be honest, for an ancestral hall, I've never seen such a heavy grudge.
Yang Quan saw that my expression was not right, and anxiously asked me, "Did you notice something?"
I was a little frightened in my heart. I pointed to the Miao Family's shrine before us and said, "It looks like we have to be careful. This is a Ghost Temple!"
"Ah, Ghost manor?" Yang Quan was shocked. Although he did not know what the Ghost Shrine was, the name Light Ghost Shrine was enough to let him understand the severity of the problem.
Actually, as the name implies, the temple was the temple of the ghost. This was the same as the haunted houses and fiendish residences of ordinary people. It was just that since the ordinary Yang Mansion had become a haunted house, then those who had suffered would only be one family, and if the ancestral hall had become a ghost shrine, then the entire clan would be in trouble. One could imagine how dangerous it was.
Of course, I didn't intentionally scare him. The ancestral hall of the Miao Family was indeed a ghost shrine. In the book < < Clear Creek Night Walk > > written by Sardauer during the Yuan Dynasty, it was written, "The sacred path of the ancient grass and mausoleum is gone, the fire spirits of the maple forest are gone." The 'Ghost Temple' mentioned in it is the kind of ancestral hall that we have in front of us.
Although Yang Quan was frightened, he couldn't hold back his curiosity and asked me what the Ghost manor was. Thus, I pointed at the Miao Family's ancestral hall and started talking to him.
Actually, this ancestral hall's problem was quite serious. It could even be described as demonic, but no one knew how they were able to create such a ancestral hall. This was because this ancestral hall had too many problems in the aspect of feng shui.
As for feng shui, as I've said before, when qi travels with the wind, it disperses, but when water stops, it stops. The taboo wind loves water, so the wind must be hidden and the water must gather. This is the essence of feng shui. The Dao of Wind and Water could also be said to be the path of nourishing one's Qi. Qi converged to form wind water, but qi would dissipate upon contact with the wind. This meant that the air would dissipate upon contact with the wind while the water would be broken. On the contrary, qi would gather when it came into contact with water. This was also why feng shui emphasized on the middle point of water. If there was no water, then even if one hid wind, they wouldn't be able to gather gas.
The ancestral hall of the Miao Family was built precisely on a small hill. There was no forest in sight, and both sides were exposed. This way, the wind naturally wouldn't be able to hide.
If he just said he couldn't hide the wind, then forget it. This could only mean that this ancestral hall didn't have good Feng Shui. However, not only was this ancestral hall unable to hide the wind, it was also able to attract wind. This was a great disaster!
Why do you say that? The entrance to the ancestral hall was not far away from the entrance to the village. That area was like a seashell, with two large mountain ranges on either side. The only gap was a small one, where the wind was the strongest. Although it was night time, the night wind blowing from that hole was still blowing loudly. In the wind and water, this was called "baleful wind"!
As the saying goes, the wind blows at the ancestral hall, so the clan doesn't live long. The wind blows through the ancestral hall every night. Do you think the disciples of the clan will be able to live?
These two things alone constituted a fierce Feng Shui pattern, but the ancestral hall in front of me was not finished, because I saw the monolith inscriptions of the shrine on a stone near the entrance of the ancestral hall. There was a record of when this ancestral hall was built, and there was a big problem with the age of this shrine. It was a big taboo!
In feng shui, there were three evil spirits that rose up from the Yang Mansion, which was a collective name for the three evil spirits, Heaven Smiting Devil, Calamity Fiend and Age Fiend. The Three Evils in the Wind and Water are actually the three black lines formed by the sun's radiation from the Twelve Earth Branch. " The Three Evils were not only the Five Yellow Waves, but also the number two killer of the Evil Gods. They could not be offended, as serious problems such as injuries or illness could occur to the family whenever the offense was committed. With regard to the Three Evils, don't sit still. This means that you can face it but you can't sit there. Second, do not move the earth, and do not move the three fiends during construction and burial. But the reunion at the time of the Fangxing was particularly fast, and Fangxing was, of course, referring to the Mystical Fangxing, not the Fangxing that his family was referring to.)
He saw that the shrine was built in the year of Yin, with fire in the south and fire in the south. The north (Hei Zi Chou) was the square and formed the three fiends. Among them, there was the fiend of tribulation, the fiend of disaster, and the fiend of age, also known as the fiend of the tomb. The ancestral hall, however, was just to the north. It was hard not to be ferocious!
Thinking about this, I couldn't help but laugh bitterly in my heart. With this many unfavorable circumstances, if we were to gather together, this place would become a place of murder for the Yang Mansion.
The ancestral shrine was known to be a place of worship, but it was not by any means a place of residence for the ancestors. As the saying goes, the place of great evil and the locking up of souls, with so many disadvantageous structures, and the daily worship of dead ancestors, in this way, the ghost that came back from the clan would naturally be locked up in this temple, wouldn't it become the temple of ghosts? Therefore, the ghosts trapped here would inevitably take people's lives and kill them frequently.
It seems like what the old uncle said before was not wrong. The reason the Miao Village s wiped out the entire clan was because of this ancestral hall.
It's just that I don't understand, the temple is important, the people in the past are more superstitious, how could it be built like this?
While I was lamenting about this rarely seen mansion, I was also wondering why the other party had asked me to meet him in such a dangerous place. Could it be that the other party wasn't afraid?
Just then, Yang Quan who was by my side suddenly tugged on the corner of my clothes. How could I not know that something was wrong and immediately turned to ask him what was wrong. He pointed to the inside of the ancestral hall and said in fear, "There's a candle flame inside!"
When I heard this, my mind buzzed and my scalp went numb. Hurriedly looking towards the main hall of the entrance, he saw that right above the main hall of the ancestral hall, a candle flame had lit up on the altar! Under the illumination of the candle flame, there were rows upon rows of tablets placed behind the candle flame …
