C5 Headplate
The compass, also known as Luo Geng, Luo Jing and the others, could be said to be Feng Shui master's rice bowl. Every master would pass on their most important clothes and secret techniques to their favorite disciples at the last moment. The compass was one of the inheritance treasures of the master. Feng Shui Master can judge whether the earth's air is pure or if there is interference from an evil magnetic field by the movement of the compass needle.
Earlier, when the compass in my hand rotated, it was called a rotating needle or a pricking needle. It represented the invasion of evil spirits and the roaming of resentment in the surroundings. Since it was harmful to people, it was a very dangerous acupuncture technique. I saw this needle technique when I was out hunting with my grandfather when I was very young, and I happened to pass by the Yang Mansion without a master when it was dark, so my grandfather and I were ready to rest in that old house without a master. We sat in the living room with the compass on the floor and the compass suddenly started spinning like a fan, and when my grandfather saw this, he immediately told me not to say anything and packed up my things to leave. As I left, I felt a sudden dizziness, and a tightness in my chest. After exiting the house, my grandfather told me that this was a pin hidden in an occult needle. It meant that there were evil spirits nearby and if I didn't leave soon there would be a calamity. The next day, we went back to that place in curiosity, asked the villagers around, and found out that the old house was a haunted house. Before liberation, all eight families died in the hands of Japanese devils, and the man was killed, and the woman was raped and hanged in that house.
Grandfather said that the dead people in the house died of grievances. Presumably, they refused to leave after the death, which was why they turned the house into a haunted house. However, grandpa also said that luckily we discovered it early. If we didn't notice the change on the compass, then the grandpa and grandson probably would have been killed last night.
Every time I think about that night afterwards, I'm still afraid. In any case, once the needle appeared, there would be a fatal accident. He had to leave as soon as possible. I think that's why Tie Zhu suddenly fainted.
Since I had cured Tie Zhu, who had fainted on the ground, everyone would no longer treat me like a child. Now that they heard what I said, there was no doubt about it at all.
Thus, the villagers all obeyed me and returned to the village. I also followed the villagers and left that place, although I don't know why the compass showed that an evil spirit was involved, but the road that was built here was actually widened on the old road. The old road has been there for generations, and nothing bad has happened, but now something has happened, apparently due to the strange stone statues that were just dug out.
It's just that I don't know what those strange stone statues are, but the compass won't lie. It's a fact that evil spirits are interfering there, so other than stopping construction, I can only wait for grandpa to come back before making any plans.
For the rest of the day, the entire village was filled with discussions about the strange stone statue. Furthermore, word of this spread quickly, and by the next day, the entire Chen Jia Town knew of this matter. There were all kinds of stories, such as some villages that claimed that we had dug up a few images of Guan Yin, and many people had died; others that we had dug up a piece of large coffin, and that the coffin was filled with zombies with white fur; in short, the more mysterious the rumors became, the more ridiculous it was!
Just when the strange stone statue spread through the entire city and people were panicking, Grandpa finally returned home after seeing the feng shui from the neighboring county. I told him everything that I had encountered in the village. Grandfather didn't say anything else and immediately told me to bring him to see the stone statues.
Very soon, the villagers heard that my grandfather had returned, so we brought him with us to the place outside of the village where we had dug out the stone statue. Grandfather looked him up and down for a moment before his face turned serious. Seeing this, I knew that Grandfather must have figured something out. Thus, he asked him what was the purpose of these stone statues, and whether they were military servants or something of the sort.
His grandfather stared at those stone statues and shook his head. "This is not a servant, but a human head tag!"
A human head sign? This obedience not only gave the villagers a fright, but also made me feel both surprised and suspicious. He was shocked because this name was too freaking scary, while he was puzzled because what was the purpose of this human head sign?
Seeing everyone's expression, Grandfather naturally knew what we were thinking. Thus, he told us about the human head sign, making my scalp go numb.
Speaking of this human head sign, we have to talk about a cruel military meritorious service system in ancient China. After the Qin changed the laws of the world, there was a rule to behead and reward one enemy. Brave men were guaranteed under heavy rewards and the Qin soldiers quickly turned into a army of tigers and wolves, exterminating six countries. Later, when the rulers saw that the effect was good, they followed suit, and the method became more and more terrifying. Like the famous war genius Huo Quou, he had beheaded the enemy's head 2,028 times on the first try and became the champion. As for the famous Flying General Li Guang, although he used a god-like weapon to intimidate the Huns, his luck was not very good. He never managed to reach the standard of a marquis, which was why his descendants sighed and said, "Elder Feng, Tang Yi, Li Guang cannot be conferred."
This medallion represented a type of honor, so after the ancient soldiers died, they would carve a corresponding number of stone statues in accordance with the number of enemies he had killed, and use them as the honor roll before the grave, marking the number of people he had killed before he died. On the other hand, it also represented the number of people he had intimidated after he died, allowing them to become his prisoners after he died, so that he could display his prowess in the underworld. And these stone statues in front of us are the ancient head-plate that was erected in front of the tomb!
These human heads were engraved on the faces of the enemies. Even their expressions were vivid and lifelike. These soul fragments that had their heads chopped off would be attached to them. This was the same as having a human crown tomb; it was able to cause the dead souls that had separated from their bodies to return to these stone statues.
Think about it, to be beheaded while living, to have his head separated from his body, to be suppressed after death, to continue to be a captive, to be unable to reincarnate. This kind of death carried a heavy amount of resentment. If this went on for a long time, then the resentment naturally wouldn't be small. This was also why the compass showed that there was evil in this place. If that's not evil, I guess there are no evil spirits in this world.
After he understood the situation, his grandfather told everyone to leave as soon as possible, and to stay in the dark places for a long time was not a joke.
After returning to the village entrance, the big guys all gathered together. They all looked towards my grandpa, obviously waiting for him to come up with a solution.
Grandfather didn't say how he could solve the problem. He only told the villagers that they should not cultivate on that road anymore. As long as they didn't provoke that thing, the villagers would not do anything to them. In short, if there's nothing else, then don't run over there.
With that, the matter that alarmed the entire Chen Jia Town came to an end. She originally thought that his grandfather would have some way to suppress that evil creature, or perhaps some way to get rid of it. She never thought that his grandfather would actually do nothing.
Originally, this could be considered as a solution as well. As long as the villagers did not provoke it, it should be fine. Unless someone was blind, he could only blame others for his death. However, what I didn't expect was that these human head signs would end up becoming a disaster in the village, leaving me to deal with in the end. Of course, this was something that would happen in the future.
The days quickly returned to normal, and the villagers did whatever they needed to do. Grandfather would often stroll around the village, doing nothing but hum. He would occasionally tease Widow Liu, the head of the village.
However, it wasn't easy for grandpa either. Even though he was forty or fifty years old, he still hadn't found a wife. He was both a father and a mother, so he brought me up. This peace did not last for more than a year and a half before it was finally broken.
That day, grandpa called me over to him in all seriousness and told me, "Grandson, grandpa calculated that we are about to encounter a great disaster. If anything happens to grandpa, you can only rely on yourself in the future!"
I had never seen him speak like that, so I asked him what was going to happen.
Grandfather said that you would naturally know what happened afterwards. The reason he told you this was because he wanted you to stop playing and to obediently stay home to learn. If anything happened to me, you wouldn't be hungry. Thus, since that day, I didn't go out of the house again, and my grandfather didn't go to the village to stroll around. He would tell me all the experiences he had gained from watching Feng Shui during his life, and for a time, no one in the village saw my grandfather, so I was not used to it.
