C4 The Training Room with Five Times the Gravity
Lin Luo stared at the Intercolumnar Cell cradled in his palm.
This was reality, not a dream.
Suddenly, a chilling laughter echoed through the Logistics Department dormitory.
A group of new cadets, terrified, huddled in a corner, shivering uncontrollably.
Lin Luo found himself in a quandary.
In his hands was the Intercolumnar Cell, a source of unlimited chakra, more potent than any cheat code.
Yet, the odds of successfully integrating the Intercolumnar Cell into a human were staggeringly low.
The risk of death loomed large over the procedure.
But this was a prize from the system lottery, and Lin Luo had a hunch that it wouldn't lead him astray.
Surely the system wouldn't let its host perish.
With that thought, he cast aside all concerns about the aftermath.
Lin Luo administered the Intercolumnar Cell into his system.
He felt nothing at first.
But then, the Intercolumnar Cell merged with his being.
An explosive surge of chakra burst forth, spreading relentlessly from within him.
Lin Luo was engulfed in chakra, as if cloaked in a blazing mantle.
The rampant energy threatened the very walls of his dorm, which seemed on the brink of collapse.
"The power is overwhelming," he realized.
Unable to tame the wild surge of chakra, Lin Luo faced a dire predicament.
Unless he drained this force, he'd turn into a one-man wrecking crew, leaving a trail of destruction wherever he went.
He figured the dormitory wouldn't stand for more than a few minutes.
But with the Intercolumnar Cell, he had a seemingly inexhaustible reservoir of chakra.
Depleting it would be no small feat.
Then it struck him—the academy's gravity room.
Crafted from high-density materials and employing rune technology, the gravity room could simulate intense gravitational forces.
Even a master like Selina would deplete all her Spiritual Energy after mere minutes inside.
For Lin Luo, eager to dissipate the chakra, the gravity room was the perfect solution.
Propelled by the immense chakra, Lin Luo's speed was terrifying.
Passing students only registered a blur before being swept off their feet by the gale he left in his wake.
He was relieved it was the male dormitory.
Had it been the female dormitory, the consequences would have been... unimaginable.
The girls' uniform at the Psionic Academy of Star Glory City bore a striking resemblance to those Lin Luo remembered from his past life in Japan.
Lin Luo sprinted to the training building, where he selected the tenfold gravity training room—the most intense gravity room the academy had to offer. Not a soul in the Psionic Academy of Star Glory City, not even the three top experts, dared to take on such a challenge.
The human body, once acclimated to a certain level of gravity, would find each additional increment a harrowing strain on its internal organs, bones, and muscles. While muscles could be fortified through exercise, the internal organs and bones remained perpetual vulnerabilities. Tenfold gravity would pulverize an average Psionic Warrior into dust.
But Lin Luo was different; his body had been enhanced by Intercolumnar Cells. Utilizing his vast chakra to counteract the gravity was a breeze for him.
Push-ups.
Squats.
Lateral jumps.
Unfamiliar with the ways of cultivating Spiritual Energy, Lin Luo resorted to training methods he'd seen in comics. The results were impressive.
After half an hour, Lin Luo had depleted his raging chakra. "I must quickly master control over the chakra within me to prevent another outburst," he thought.
As the chakra drained away, Lin Luo's body was wracked with excruciating pain. His Intercolumnar Cells were still merging; he had yet to achieve the legendary Immortal Body. Yet, this grueling training regimen was accelerating the fusion process.
Drained, Lin Luo pushed open the door of the training room and was surprised to find someone waiting outside. The newcomer greeted him with a radiant smile, "Hello, Senior!"
Lin Luo took in the fresh-faced student and couldn't help but silently compare the newcomer's striking looks to his own, thinking with a tinge of envy, "Why does that guy have to be so handsome?"
Indeed, the man before him radiated a warm presence and was exceptionally good-looking.
Lin Luo paid him no mind.
Handsome or not, he wasn't interested in engaging.
Alex Bell watched Lin Luo's retreating figure and murmured to himself in awe, "To think he lasted half an hour in the tenfold gravity room..."
It's surprising to find such a formidable individual in an academy of lesser renown. It appears I've underestimated the Noah Empire.
