Lin Luo was on the verge of making a discreet exit when suddenly a voice rang out, "Excuse me, is this the Dawn Society? We'd like to join."

The plaza fell silent.

Gu Ritian's complexion turned a sickly green, as though he'd just swallowed a dead fly. To think someone in Star Glory City's Psionic Academy had the audacity to snub him. The nerve of some newcomers!

He was determined to find out who it was.

Turning, he was met with a radiant smile from a strikingly handsome individual.

Gu Ritian's face contorted with shock. Why was it him?

While others might be clueless about the man's identity, Gu Ritian knew exactly who he was.

This was the very person Selina had personally welcomed yesterday, the academy's superstar newbie, Alex Bell. Rumor had it the dean had moved heaven and earth to recruit this prodigious talent.

Yet, this newcomer seemed to carry an air of arrogance.

He had turned down Selina's offer.

And now, he was seeking to join the Dawn Society.

His actions were a bold statement to every student that the Thorns paled in comparison to the Dawn Society.

This wouldn't do.

He needed to inform Selina of this development immediately.

Lin Luo, catching sight of Alex Bell, froze for a brief moment.

Wasn't this the same newcomer he'd encountered outside the tenfold gravity training room just yesterday?

Bell greeted him with a smile, "Senior, here we are again. I'm Alex Bell, and this is Elsa. We're looking to join the Dawn Society."

Lin Luo gave Bell a once-over before turning his attention to the girl standing behind him, her face etched with pride.

A shadow crossed Lin Luo's face. Their arrogance was palpable.

Besides, he wasn't about to cross the academy's power players for the sake of two new recruits.

Without hesitation, Lin Luo responded, "I'm sorry, but the Dawn Society isn't accepting new members today. Yu, let's go."

Su Xiaoyu was internally panicking, not having anticipated Lin Luo's rejection of these potential members.

But the word of the Dawn Society's president was law, and Su Xiaoyu had no room to interject.

A smirk crept onto Gu Ritian's lips as he silently gloated, "The Psionic Academy is my domain. You had the gall to refuse Selina, and even as this year's super rookie, you're not going to have an easy time here."

Lin Luo's refusal seemed to catch Bale off guard.

Yet, Bale's smile remained unwavering. "Senior, I'm afraid that won't do. This is a directive from the dean."

He produced a notice and handed it to Lin Luo.

Lin Luo read the notice, which stated in no uncertain terms:

The Dawn Society must accept Alex Bell and Alex Elsa, or face the expulsion of all its members.

Why was the dean involved?

He was someone Lin Luo couldn't afford to cross.

With a scowl, Lin Luo said, "Joining the Dawn Society isn't easy; we have stringent requirements. If you don't measure up, not even the dean's intervention will matter. Yu, check their entrance scores."

Su Xiaoyu looked utterly confused.

Did the Dawn Society actually have joining criteria?

The onlookers were rendered speechless, internally accusing Lin Luo of having no shame.

Lin Luo remained unfazed.

He was convinced that in time, the Dawn Society's members would astonish the entire Noah Empire.

With the system at his disposal, Lin Luo was brimming with confidence.

Su Xiaoyu reviewed their entrance scores and was stunned into silence.

At Su Xiaoyu's faltering cry, Lin Luo glanced at the score sheet and his surprise was palpable.

Could these two be the fabled prodigies?

Their theoretical scores were nearly perfect, with Spiritual Energy Growth Values of 9.3 and 9.4.

At the Psionic Academy in Star Glory City, even the top-ranked Selina only had a 9.1.
