C14 Flying in the Sky and Swimming in the Water

No matter how turbulent the waves were, they could not swallow the sky - Deep One proverb.

The process of the merfolk claiming to be Dark Spawn conquering the land did not encounter much difficulty. There were no living creatures that could resist the surging flood. Of course, there were exceptions, but it did not affect the entire process.

However, there were still some creatures that even the merfolk did not want to face.

Those were the creatures that soared in the sky.

Most of the time, the merfolk called those creatures that had wings and flew in the sky as the scattering of death.

It had to be known that although the half-fish people were now conquering the world, they had experienced a crisis of national destruction in the beginning. There were even records of them being attacked by enemies in the capital city of God. War was like this. If you could fight back, I could fight back. Only the victors survived.

As for those things that could fly with wings... Ever since the Half Mermen left the deep sea and began their conquest, they had dealt with them many times. The Half Mermen who had just obtained the power of water naturally did not reason with them. However, after a few encounters, the Half Mermen helplessly discovered a fact.

They couldn't do anything about these things that could fly.

No matter how high the tides rose, they couldn't fly as high as these things. The soldiers' weapons couldn't touch these things that could fly, but these creatures that could fly could choose to attack at will. They were usually Deep One Warrior, who wasn't skilled at fighting, or ordinary Deep One who didn't understand fighting skills at all.

Some Deep One Warrior began to throw spears and tridents. When they did not need to throw weapons in the water, this innovative action brought about a certain result. The development after that was not ideal. Those creatures with wings also used a new way of fighting - throwing stones from high up.

Fortunately, these things did not go into the water, which was one of the few advantages of the merfolk.

After a few unfriendly interactions, the Deep One and those creatures that could fly understood that the other party was not something that they could easily deal with. In other words, for a very long period of time, they would not be able to do anything to the other party. Therefore, after asking their gods, the Deep One and the flying creatures decided to sit down and have a chat.

The discussion was beneficial. Both parties had a full exchange of opinions. The Deep One expressed concern for the safety of its people, and the flying creatures showed respect to the strategic direction of the Deep One. After a friendly and friendly conversation, both parties reached an agreement on some issues.

After that, the merfolk continued their journey of conquering the land. As the two sides gained more and more understanding of each other, there were also some flying creatures in the Deep One team that existed as mercenaries. With the aerial forces, the process of the merfolk conquering became smoother.

Until they met the prawn people.

The Deep One army with the support of flying creatures was undoubtedly more powerful than the army of priests and warriors. At the start of the battle, the flying creatures flew to the top of the valley. Their goal was to harass them. They created chaos and took the opportunity to kill some of the enemy's forces. This was not difficult for them. Some flying creatures who were more confident in their flying techniques would dive down and catch the enemy before throwing them down. This was to show their bravery.

After that, the entire valley erupted with flames that soared to the sky.

That war Deep One had once again failed. They had never thought that the valley, which could block the flood with an unknown force, could not only be used as a dam.

Although the shrimp people had lost the power of the runes, just because they did not have the power did not mean that they would not be able to use the things left behind by their ancestors. And the valley that existed as the kingdom of the shrimp people was undoubtedly the greatest property left behind by their ancestors. The shrimp people that had been passed down for countless generations emptied all the rock walls around the valley. They had also forged it into the most perfect fortress.

And the Half Fish people who had crashed into it had added another record to this well-disguised fortress.

In that battle, less than a tenth of the flying creatures survived.

After that, the flying creatures withdrew from the Deep One team. However, as mercenaries, there was no need for them to sacrifice their lives for the Deep One's ambition.

And now, the young Deep One Priest who had been sent over to negotiate was carefully building the altar.

The altar was not meant to worship the gods - that was something that would only be done in the Capital of God. The altar was only used as a sign to tell the flying creatures that the warriors and priests called Flyer. Send someone with some weight over to have a talk.

As for when the Flyer would be able to see this sign... perhaps the gods would know?

"This is exile..." The young Deep One Priest did not have much resentment in his heart. When he said those things that he should not have said, he thought that he would not have a good ending.

He just didn't think that it would be bad.

He was located in a rather remote location. The altar could only be built on a small island, or rather, on a relatively large reef. The surrounding sea surface was calm. Not to mention his own kind, he could not even see a few fish.

These were not a big problem. As a priest, the young Deep One had received quite a harsh cultivation. The dullness of the environment and the lack of resources were not much of a test for the young Deep One.

The key was the Flyer. When he thought of those things with four arms and a long tail, the young Deep One Priest began to have a headache. These Flyer did not care about their appearance. They had been emitting the smell of rotting corpses. Their tempers were even more disgusting. God knows if they would be captured and thrown down from the sky as soon as they saw each other.

Perhaps this was the result that the elders of the Priest Group wanted? The young Deep One lay on the reef, bored. It was not difficult to imagine what he had said as long as he had a certain understanding of history. However, it was undoubtedly a treasonous argument. It was not strange for the elders to want him dead. In fact, it could be said that this was only a way of dealing with him and not a direct execution. It was already considered a rather lenient way of dealing with him.

Doubting a god with his mortal body was undoubtedly the path of death.

However, did the elders really not understand what he meant? The young Deep One felt that it was not like that. Even if the Deep One had a long life, however, no one who could become an elder was truly stubborn. One must know that before the war of conquest began, they were the elders of the Priest Group. At that time, there was no such good job as leading a warrior to gain experience.

It was very normal for the elders to have too many considerations.

But was this really okay?

Hearing the sound of the wind from afar, the young Deep One stood up.

Now was not the time to think about those things.

The trouble of flying had arrived.
