C8 We Found a City-state

The leader of the prawns wrote for three days and nights. Du Kang also watched from the side for three days.

The night did not seem to have any effect on the prawns, no matter if it was the prawns or Du Kang.

During this period of time, the prawns who were watching from the side had left twice and brought some supplies. Du Kang saw roasted meat and some fruits from plants.

Knowing to cook and not eat raw food, this was one of the dividing lines between intelligent creatures and wild beasts. This made Du Kang even more curious about the shrimp people.

What level of civilization had they reached, what level of technology had they reached? What kind of lifestyle they lived in, these were all things Du Kang wanted to know. After Du Kang, who was once a Horrifying Upright Ape, became a Mantis shrimp, he had a sense of superiority in terms of intelligence. And now, looking at these shrimp people who had shown a certain degree of civilization, this sense of superiority turned into curiosity and contempt from a high level civilization towards a low level unknown civilization. In Du Kang's eyes, these shrimp people who could not afford to wear clothes might still be alive in the Stone Age.

If Du Kang had seen something from the beginning that came with a tank or other high level goods, he would definitely have turned around and crawled back into the ground without hesitation.

After completing the ancient ceremony, Shrimp Leader expressed his respect to God again and prepared to leave. In fact, Du Kang still did not know what that set of actions meant.

To Shrimp Leader, the process of meeting the god was perfect. The gods did not take any sacrifices. The shrimp people did not know what to offer to the gods. Shrimp Leader was even prepared to use himself as a living sacrifice. The inheritors of the flames were undoubtedly enough as sacrifices. However, the god only went through a test and pointed the way for the people of the flame. He also generously gifted new runes.

And now, the people of the fire who obtained new powers would follow the guidance of the gods and shine on everything, just like the era of the wise sages.

After expressing their gratitude to God once again, the prawns embarked on the journey of returning.

"The flame will not extinguish." Shrimp Leader was overwhelmed with emotions. He strode forward. "The people of fire will light up this era again under the guidance of the gods."

Fifteen minutes later, Shrimp Leader turned his head in disbelief and stood rooted to the ground.

Dong! Dong! Dong!

The trees fell to the ground, and the rocks were crushed into powder. Even the ground was trembling. Nothing could stop the footsteps of the three pairs of legs.

The god followed them.

Du Kang deliberately waited for the shrimp people to walk for a while before he followed them. He did not want to quietly follow them or something like that - he also understood that his size could not carry out this kind of delicate work. He just did not want to accidentally stomp or crush these shrimp people who looked like they were no bigger than rats when he moved forward.

Things went smoothly. After a few turns, the shrimp man accepted the fact that he was following them behind. He didn't deliberately go around in circles. The memory left by the two octopuses wasn't very good for Du Kang. It made him doubt his intelligence for a while.

The sun rose and then fell. The day and night turned. The return of the shrimp people became more and more difficult. With Du Kang following them, they could not catch any prey. The earth shaking footsteps scared away all potential dangers, and also scared away all potential sources of food. They could only pick the fruits and roots of the plants along the way to feed their hunger. As for the gods behind them... Up until now, the prawns had yet to discover any signs of the gods wanting to eat.

Du Kang was also thinking about the same problem. He was not hungry. However, this did not mean that he did not want to get some food to eat. However, his body was too big now. He could not even hide in the underground to ambush his prey - the spikes on his limbs were too thick. If he poked his prey, it would only turn the prey into a lump of meat paste. Du Kang thought about the meat paste mixed with animals and lost his appetite.

After another thirty rotations of the day and night, the hungry shrimp people finally returned to their country. They were all the best of their kind. Shrimp Leader had even gone through hard work in the Inheritor, but no matter how strong a warrior was, they could not fight hunger. If they were two days slower, they might have died at the entrance of their home.

Du Kang did not pay attention to the prawn men who were about to starve to death. He sized up the... city in front of him.

There was a huge valley in front of him. The towering mountain peaks were as tall as two Du Kang. There were holes of different sizes drilled out of the rock wall. In Du Kang's eyes, the shrimps the size of mice were frightened by Du Kang's earth-shaking footsteps. They stuck their heads out of the holes and looked around. Some of the holes on the rock wall were carved with exquisite reliefs. On the reliefs, the scene of tall and strong prawns fighting against their enemies was vividly carved. Du Kang only recognized some octopuses and dinosaurs among the creatures that were regarded as villains.

There were some unknown trees planted at the roots of the rock wall, and some unripe fruits were hanging on them. There were more than a dozen water canals crisscrossed in the valley. The chiseled marks reminded Du Kang of the crazy words written by Shrimp Leader on the ground. In the middle of the valley was a huge square, which could accommodate four Du Kang. The square was paved with stone slabs made of unknown stones. In the center of the square stood a stone altar. The surface of the altar was carefully carved with fiery cloud patterns. On the altar, huge flames were burning fiercely.

Under Du Kang's eyes, the prawns quickly calmed down from their initial confusion. They waved their forelimbs and praised the power of the gods in their own language, but Du Kang could not understand it at all.

"Praise God Father, your flames will guide everything, and your footsteps will eventually reach the sky!" The prawns waved their arms and legs in unison.

...

Was this the way these prawns welcomed outsiders?

Du Kang had never thought that these shrimp people would treat him as a god. The Horrifying Upright Ape that was born in the ancient eastern countries was naturally dissociated from religion. After all, for a modern person, religion had long faded from their life. Du Kang only knew about religion because he knew that he should book a family bucket for Christmas.

It was a good building and carving skill, and it also knew some planting and irrigation techniques. The level of civilization was roughly equivalent to the Maya who smoked - or even worse, the Maya would at least build houses, and these shrimp people were still living in caves.

In short, they were not a threat to the race.

If Du Kang knew that the inside of the rock wall had been completely emptied by these shrimp people, he would probably be so scared that he would jump into the ground.

And now, Du Kang, who knew nothing about everything, found a place to lie down in the square in the middle of the valley after crushing countless trees.

The road was a bit far. He wanted to take a rest.
