A voice laced with irony rang in Su Qingcheng's ears, causing her to frown and instinctively turn around, only to be met with a figure that seemed all too familiar.

"Sister, I trust you're well."

Indeed, the woman before her was Su Jinyu, the eldest daughter of the Su family's branch in Hang City, and a few years Su Qingcheng's senior.

Su Jinyu sauntered up to Su Qingcheng, unabashedly scrutinizing both her and the child she held.

"Tsk tsk! Little sister, it's been so long. Haven't you managed to rid yourself of these hindrances yet?"

"Heed your elder sister's counsel. Send the children away for adoption posthaste. I'll speak to our father on your behalf, see if we can't find you a more suitable family. What do you say?"

"Yiyiyaya!"

Before Su Qingcheng could muster a reply, the youthful voice of the eldest baby, Ye Ming, emanated from her embrace.

Ye Ming, with his cheeks puffed and a scowl directed at Su Jinyu, was the picture of defiance.

Though merely an infant, there's truth to the adage that a baby's intuition is keen!

Ye Ming sensed an ill-intent from the newcomer.

Su Qingcheng's eyes softened as she gazed upon the sweet, vulnerable face before her. She cradled the eldest baby closer and whispered reassuringly,

"Eldest baby, be good. Mommy will never leave you. I'll be by your side forever."

"You must have heard what I said just now. I will not abandon my child. If you've come solely to discuss this, then I must ask you to leave."

Having been stared down by an infant and rebuffed by Su Qingcheng, Su Jinyu was at her wit's end.

"Su Qingcheng, don't you dare think that..."

"Qingcheng, I've already spoken to the owner, and he's agreed to let me purchase everything here!"

Ye Tian arrived, his face alight with excitement, eager to shower the children with gifts.

"Puchi!" Su Jinyu let out a derisive snort, as if she'd heard the joke of the century, her face a mask of scorn as she addressed the man before her.

"Young man, you're not exactly a spring chicken. How can you spout such a pathetic lie? This is the largest mall in the downtown area!"

"Even the smallest purchase here costs a fortune! And you claim you want to buy out the entire store? You must be living in a fantasy!"

Who are you, anyway? And what business is it of yours if I decide to make a purchase or not?

With a slight lift of his eyebrows, Ye Tian regarded the woman bearing a resemblance to Su Qingcheng with a hint of annoyance.

He seemed to have pieced something together.

"Honey, who's this lady? She kind of looks like you. Could she be some distant relative of yours?"

Lady?

Su Jinyu's gaze was venomous, fixed on Ye Tian as if she were ready to tear him apart.

"Su Qingcheng! You and your pathetic husband are truly a perfect pair! No matter where you are, you both reek of the same stench!"

"You think you can just buy up everything here? Dream on!"

"And what if I do buy it all?"

Ye Tian's face was the picture of indifference as he looked at Su Jinyu. The scorn in his eyes was palpable, and he watched her with a frosty stare.

"If you actually manage to buy it, then I'll bow to Su Qingcheng right here in front of everyone and apologize! I'll even buy something from the store and gift it to her!"

Su Jinyu was not about to back down and glared at Ye Tian with defiance.

"Conversely, if you lose, you'll be the one kneeling and apologizing to me! And Su Qingcheng will join you!"

She saw Su Qingcheng as nothing more than a stray dog that had been kicked out.

Just stubbornness, nothing more!

How could she ever measure up?

At these words, Su Qingcheng's anger flared.

Did they really take her for a fool? Why should she be the one to kneel and apologize?

"Fine, it's a deal!" Ye Tian responded briskly. "Manager, come here, please. I'll take everything in the store."

Su Qingcheng's mouth fell open, but before she could utter a word, Ye Tian was already in action.

He handed a diamond-studded black gold card to the waiter, who immediately looked troubled.

"Sir, this card isn't going through. Could you try another one, perhaps?"

"Hahaha!"

Su Jinyu's face contorted with laughter as she mocked Ye Tian mercilessly.

"Sis, better rein in your husband before he makes a fool of himself! Getting kicked out of the Su family isn't your fault, but being broke is!"

At that moment, even Su Qingcheng watched Ye Tian with a face full of concern.

"Ye Tian, let's just drop it, okay? Once we've finished shopping for the babies, we can leave. There's no sense in getting into it with her."

Su Qingcheng wasn't lacking confidence in Ye Tian; it was just that, despite her years with the Su family, she had never encountered such a uniquely styled card. Her uncertainty was understandable.

The card was issued by the system, and Ye Tian was certain it would work.

With a serious expression, Ye Tian asserted, "I assure you this card will work. Could you please call over your manager or the owner?"

"Your authority isn't sufficient!"

"Ha ha ha!"

Su Jinyu burst into laughter once more, this time even more dramatically, clutching her stomach as she laughed unrestrainedly.

"Sis, what's gotten into your husband? Does he really think he can push around the owner of this mall? As if the owner is at his beck and call. He should wake up from his fantasy!"

"You'd better kneel down and apologize to me now!"

"I asked you to call the manager. Did you not understand?"

Suddenly, an icy aura of menace permeated the air. Ye Tian gazed at the waiter with a detached look, as if he were staring at a corpse.

If he didn't follow Ye Tian's instructions, he was convinced he would die!

Terrified, the waiter was drenched in a cold sweat as he dashed out, the black gold card taken along with him.

In comparison to Ye Tian's intensity, the supposedly fearsome boss seemed positively congenial!

Trying to maintain her composure, Su Jinyu swallowed hard.

"Acting tough, are we? Just wait until the manager arrives, and we'll see what happens!"

"And don't forget, you'll be kneeling to apologize to me soon!"

It wasn't long before the waiter returned, followed by a wheezing, portly man who, upon seeing Ye Tian, eagerly shook his hand.

"Sir, is this card yours?"

"I'm thrilled to have you visit our store. Whatever you desire, just let me know! I'll have it wrapped up for you immediately!"

The change in demeanor was a complete turnaround, effectively sidelining Su Jinyu and Su Qingcheng.

With a dark scowl, Su Jinyu's mood soured.

"Weren't you saying this card couldn't be used? How come it works now? You're not in league with each other, are you?"

"Pah! This is a Dragon Card, exclusively issued by the nation! There are only ten of these in the entire world! Why would you even consider using it? That would be an outrageous waste of a heavenly treasure!"
