"Miss Mei, I trust him. Will you honor my request?" Xia Bing sought Liu Mei's approval, hoping for her agreement. Regardless of Liu Mei's response, Xia Bing was determined to succeed. Every Devil Beast Man from the greedy Dusk Empire deserved to perish; not one of them was decent.

Liu Mei was taken aback by Xia Bing's words, and a glint of murderous intent flashed in her eyes. Being spotted by the other party could spell disaster for her. Yet, she remained skeptical and countered, "Xiao Bing, are you certain that kid can discern the true nature of a Devil Beast Man?"

Suddenly, the lights in the dormitory went out, plunging the entire Female New Soldier Battalion into darkness. Gongsun Yan peered into the distance, quickly gathering his computer and tools before heading to the rendezvous point. His comrade stood there, stunned, silently wondering if Gongsun Yan had ties to the criminal underworld.

"What happened? I sent you to retrieve the Dragon Egg bracelet, and you've stirred up something else?" Gongsun Ce said, his face etched with confusion as he turned to the Fox Woman girl beside him, utterly perplexed. He had heard that the Fox Woman's cover was blown and she needed to evacuate the Female New Soldier Battalion immediately, prompting his visit. The last thing he expected was a blackout in a military facility—such an occurrence was hardly believable.

The Fox Woman girl hastily shook her head; a wise rabbit doesn't eat the grass by its own burrow—she had no part in the blackout. Yet, upon reflection, she nodded, admitting, "Perhaps that boy arrived tonight, sooner than expected. I had thought he wouldn't come until tomorrow."

Fox Women were naturally astute, able to infer the rough details of an event from a mere power outage. Sadly, it was a bit too late. Zhuge Yao had already located her with his enhanced vision and was barreling towards her in the Assault No.66 Mecha. Without hesitation, the Fox Woman girl turned and dashed out of the camp, cloaking herself with her ability to become invisible.

Zhuge Yao was feeling utterly frustrated. He had planned to encircle a level one Devil Beast Fox Man and then proceed to capture her. However, at the crucial moment, Lei Xun dropped the ball. After entering the Female New Soldier Battalion, he vanished without a trace. Left with no other choice, Zhuge Yao had to stealthily board a Mecha and attempt to apprehend the Fox Woman himself, though whether he would succeed was anyone's guess.

The only silver lining was that the other person who accompanied him, Qiu Heizi, proved to be dependable. He was not only strong but also skilled in the art of disguise. Clad in a night suit, he blended into the darkness before ambushing the Fox Woman from behind.

Back at the camp, Xia Bing and Liu Mei were discussing a crucial matter when the electricity unexpectedly cut out. Initially, they assumed the engineers were fixing the circuits and that power would soon be restored. It wasn't until they heard the Mecha stirring that they sensed something was amiss.

Seizing the cover of darkness, Liu Mei quietly drew a dagger from her sleeve and crept towards Xia Bing. Her plan was to eliminate Xia Bing and then use the confusion to flee the barracks, which might be her only shot at survival.

"Class Rep Xia Bing, we've got a serious problem! A fat lecher took advantage of the blackout to get fresh. You need to check it out right away; the new recruits are terrified!" a female new recruit burst in, her voice laced with urgency.

Upon hearing this, Xia Bing was incensed. Between the rogue Mecha and the molester, the barracks were in chaos. 'Is there no order left here?' she wondered. With that, she and the Sergeant Major hurried downstairs.

Once they were gone, Liu Mei reluctantly stowed her dagger and stood still, lost in thought. A realization seemed to strike her, and she quickly regained her composure, a sly smile playing at her lips.

A power outage alone was unsettling, but the sudden animation of a Mecha and the appearance of a floating fat man made the situation seem downright supernatural.

"Fox Woman, you're surrounded. Surrender now!" Zhuge Yao boomed through the Mecha's loudspeaker, aiming his voice at the direction in which the Fox Woman was fleeing.

The Fox Woman was drenched in cold sweat, her heart pounding with fear. Her stealth abilities were utterly ineffective against her pursuer. Had it not been for her quick reflexes and her timely blend into the crowd, she would have been captured already. She ran like a frightened bird until she collided with a shadowy figure in the dark.

That figure was Qiu Heizi, but he was no match for the transformed Fox Woman's strength and was promptly knocked to the ground. The Fox Woman didn't stop to finish him off; instead, she bolted towards the wall and vaulted over it in a panic.

Xia Yan and two others, following Zhuge Yao's command, lay in wait beneath the eastern wall of the Female New Soldier Battalion. After a lengthy vigil, they spotted someone scaling the wall and sprang into action. Without offering the intruder a chance to speak, they launched a barrage of fierce kicks. They had no sympathy for their adversary; after all, a Devil Beast Man was trouble, regardless of gender.

"Mercy, good sirs! I was merely peeking at the female soldiers. Isn't this a bit extreme?" the person on the ground cried out, his voice quivering with fear.

"Keep hitting him! He dares to make excuses? Definitely a Devil Beast Man," Xia Yan commanded, ignoring the pleas and signaling the others to continue the assault.

"I admit my mistake, isn't that enough? I'm not a Devil Beast Man; I'm Gongsun Ce!" the man protested, rolling away to dodge the blows and continuing to beg for mercy.

Upon hearing this, Xia Yan peered through the darkness and recognized Gongsun Ce. They were both from prestigious families and had met on formal occasions. Realizing his mistake, Xia Yan scratched his head and offered an awkward smile. "Gongsun Ce, it's you! It's been a while, good to see you."

Meanwhile, inside the Female New Soldier Battalion, Zhuge Yao witnessed the Fox Woman scaling the wall. He powered up his Mecha and leaped over the barrier. His strategy had worked perfectly; he had deliberately herded the Fox Woman towards the east wall, and she had taken the bait. With three people waiting in ambush, the Fox Woman's chance of escape had vanished.

Tang Hao left the Tank headquarters feeling utterly dismissed; no one there believed a word he said. While he excelled at slaying Devil Beast Men, interpersonal relations were not his forte. Without solid evidence, he couldn't persuade the leadership and had no choice but to head back to his dormitory.
