C3 A Small Test

The hotel was a short distance from the Century Music Building, so they arrived at the hotel entrance quickly, only to witness a harrowing scene. Inside the lobby, three waiters and a group of customers lay in pools of blood, each with a gaping hole in their abdomen.

Huang Wenwen, typically gentle and meek, seemed oblivious to the carnage as she dashed inside. Their room was on the third floor. She sprinted to the elevator and frantically pressed the button.

Zhuge Yao tapped Wenwen on the shoulder and gestured towards the stairs, saying, "The fire's too intense. It's unsafe to take the elevator. We need to use the stairs."

He led the way to the staircase, with Wenwen quickly following. Smoke swirled around them, but their multifunctional soft armor detected the danger, activating its true vision and filtration functions, effectively neutralizing the smoke's impact on them.

Boom! A loud noise erupted from the third floor.

"Oh no! The door's been busted open," Zhuge Yao exclaimed, alarmed by the ferocity of the attacking monster. The reinforced steel on his room's door should have been impenetrable without immense force.

He hastened his pace and reached the third floor in no time, catching sight of a werewolf turning its head. The creature was incredibly fast, charging at Zhuge Yao and slashing towards his throat. In a split second, Zhuge Yao delivered a knee strike, sending the werewolf flying into a wall, where it became deeply embedded.

"This werewolf's speed is exceptional—it must be over two hundred! Lucky for me, its strength is only a hundred, or this could have been messy," Zhuge Yao thought, keeping a vigilant eye on the room.

"My bracelet!" Wenwen cried out in distress upon seeing her room's door smashed open. She bolted towards the room, but before she could get inside, another werewolf emerged, its jaws poised to clamp down on her neck.

"Be careful," Zhuge Yao urgently extended his hand to shield Huang Wenwen, but in the next instant, he winced as pain shot through his arm. His soft armor had been punctured, leaving two small holes. With a swift motion, he shook off the pain and the armor released a burst of counterforce, catapulting the attacking werewolf several meters away.

At that moment, Huang Wenwen had burst into the room and seized a metal box. Clutching it tightly, she collapsed to the floor, seemingly drained of all her strength, tears streaming down her face.

The two werewolves inside, who had been wreaking havoc, quickly noticed the intrusion and lunged at Huang Wenwen with alarming speed, even faster than their predecessors.

"Barbarian Ox No.6, block them!" Zhuge Yao bellowed at a metal box in the room, which was actually a Universal Level Mecha designed for transport, lacking significant combat capabilities. But in this desperate situation, there was no time to consider that.

Upon receiving the command, Barbarian Ox No.6 rolled into action, barreling toward the werewolves. As it surged forward, it morphed from a box into the form of a towering giant. Despite its somewhat antiquated appearance, its charge was so powerful that it sent vibrations through the floor, a testament to its formidable strength.

The werewolves were quick to advance but just as quick to retreat when they sensed the impending threat. They attempted to evade Barbarian Ox No.6's onslaught, but it was not to be outmaneuvered. Its arms extended, snatching the werewolves' legs, and with a mighty spin, it hurled them into the air. After three rotations, it slammed them down with such force that they crashed through the floor, plummeting to the second level, followed by a thunderous crash.

"Ah!" Zhuge Yao grunted, his arm throbbing with pain. He glanced down to see the werewolf bite rapidly decaying, a clear sign of poisoning. His soft armor constricted, trying to contain the spread of the toxin.

With the room now engulfed in flames and the entrance collapsed, Zhuge Yao recognized the grave danger they were in. Gritting his teeth against the pain, he scooped up Huang Wenwen and hurried into the cockpit of Barbarian Ox No.6.

The entire hotel had crumbled, with the twenty-story structure reduced to a massive heap of debris. Door frames, chairs, and bodies were all charred black by the flames, a sight that captivated and horrified the onlookers.

Several fire engines arrived on the scene, unleashing powerful jets of water onto the building's remains, snuffing out the lingering flames and causing the debris to collapse once more. Police cars also reached the site, with over ten officers disembarking with tools and setting up a perimeter with police tape. Meanwhile, the sky filled with the roar of engines as armed helicopters appeared, deploying dozens of Antiterrorist soldiers who rappelled down from above.

The crowd, witnessing the scene, believed the terrorist attack was finally over. Yet, unexpectedly, four werewolves emerged from the rubble. Despite their wounds, the ferocity they radiated sent shivers down the spines of those watching.

The Antiterrorist soldiers didn't hesitate. They aimed their Laser Assault Rifles and unleashed a volley at the werewolves. Regrettably, their response was a tad too slow, and their shots went wide.

The werewolves swiftly scattered, skillfully evading the laser fire before launching themselves at the Antiterrorist soldiers. They moved with such speed that a single swipe of their claws was lethal, giving the soldiers no chance for a coordinated counterattack.

As Antiterrorist soldiers fell, the spectators screamed and scattered. Some, in their panic, ran straight towards the werewolves. The creatures showed no mercy, slashing through the crowd and turning the ground crimson with blood.

"Beasts? Monsters? Brothers, fall back!" Overcome by fear, firefighters and police officers began to retreat. They lacked the confidence to confront foes of such caliber.

After the werewolves took down a few more Antiterrorist soldiers and howled skyward, they prepared to flee.

"Hold them back! Don't let these creatures escape. The Mecha Troop is on its way!" the Antiterrorist leader bellowed to his fellow soldiers.

A dozen Antiterrorist soldiers charged forward, unleashing a barrage on the four werewolves that kicked up a storm of dust in the devastated area. As the dust swirled, one werewolf broke through, seizing the Antiterrorist leader in its grasp.

"Help! Someone, please help me!" The leader of the Antiterrorist team frantically called for assistance, grasping at the werewolf's hand, desperately trying to pry it off.

"Boom!" A mecha burst from beneath them, its Machine Arm immediately seizing one of the werewolf's arms.

With a sharp "snap," the mecha had forcibly dislocated the werewolf's arm. The creature didn't even manage to scream before collapsing to the ground in agony, motionless.

The mecha that had made a sudden entrance was none other than the Barbarian Ox No.6, piloted by Zhuge Yao. This mecha was exceptionally sturdy, and thanks to its load-bearing capabilities, it remained undamaged even as the hotel walls crumbled around it.

"Come on, all three of you, I know you're still alive. No more hiding," Zhuge Yao bellowed into the rubble while maneuvering the Barbarian Ox No.6, trampling over the downed werewolves.

"Still playing deaf? I know you can understand me. If you're brave enough, come out and face me," Zhuge Yao called out. Seeing no response, he contemplated whether to charge in with the Barbarian Ox No.6 and settle the matter once and for all.
