Ye Feng reassured Ye Zhuqiu a few more times before ending the call.

"Eldest sister, if Wei Zecheng ever shows up again, you have to call me, okay?"

"Sure, but how did you know Wei Zecheng was here? I thought you were at the company, and you don't have many friends there. Who would've told you about him?"

"What if I told you it was a sixth sense? Would you believe me? I just felt like I needed to return to the company, so I came. Running into Wei Zecheng was totally unexpected."

"Is that so? But weren't you just out shopping with Third Sister? What suddenly made you think of returning to the company? Is there something going on there? It's past working hours, though."

"It's true. But now that I think about it, I didn't need to come back. I guess I was just in a rush, which led to these encounters."

"I'm still not clear on how you knew Wei Zecheng would be here."

"I didn't know Wei Zecheng would be here; it was purely coincidental. But if he ever comes back to bother you, you must let me know. I'll take care of it."

"Okay, I'll make sure to protect myself better from now on. I won't let an incident like today's happen again."

Ye Yimei had more to say, but she held back, knowing that continuing might only push Ye Feng away. Their relationship hadn't reached a point where that level of concern would be welcome, so she bit her tongue.
