C1 Dimensional Main City

Realizing he could move his body, Lin Mu cautiously opened his eyes.

Yet, as he took in the sight before him, he involuntarily parted his lips, a raspy voice escaping.

"What is this place?"

He was certain he had never visited such a place before. The proof lay in the outlandishly large buildings and the trio of suns overhead.

Lin Mu surmised that if this wasn't a dream, then surely it couldn't be Earth... After all, the three suns... hadn't they been shot down by Houyi ages ago?

He inhaled deeply, then lifted his head with composed assurance to gaze at the familiar blue sky, the only feature reminiscent of Earth.

And then... "Wuhahaha! Fortune smiles upon me!"

"Look, another one's lost it."

"Such a waste of a precious slot..."

"He can't handle it, humanity's gone downhill."

Hearing the murmurs around him, Lin Mu's laughter abruptly ceased. He bowed his head once more, scanning for figures that hadn't been there moments before. His cheeks inexplicably flushed... Was this social suicide? Or were his eyes deceiving him? This place had been empty just a second ago...

But the spectators were quick to leave, apparently losing interest upon seeing Lin Mu's reaction, and dispersed. Watching their retreating figures, Lin Mu frowned.

"I can't understand a word they're saying, yet I grasp the meaning somehow, and... no one is surprised by my sudden appearance..." As Lin Mu mused aloud, suddenly, an emotionless, mechanical voice echoed in his ear.

Ding! System authorization complete. Initiating newcomer orientation!

A deep blue holographic panel materialized before Lin Mu.

Startled at first, Lin Mu quickly grasped what it was.

"System... System?" He muttered, the corner of his mouth twitching. In that moment, Lin Mu couldn't help but think that the original author of the system genre must have been a "chosen one" with a system of their own...

His thoughts wandered, but his eyes remained fixed on the blank panel.

When lines of Chinese text he could understand began to appear, he took immediate notice.

Newcomer Orientation

First and foremost, congratulations on being selected by the Dimensional Main City to become a Dimension Apostle, serial number: 10086

Main City Overview: The Dimensional Main City exists as a vast and infinite space, separate from our world. Here, anything you desire is within reach. Here, you can acquire power beyond your wildest dreams—as long as you complete a sufficient number of high-rated dimensional missions, you'll have the freedom to do as you please!

The Dimensional Main City empowers Dimension Apostles with the ability to shatter the dimensional barrier and descend into the dimensional worlds. Apostles are tasked with completing missions issued by the Dimensional Main City to earn Dimensional Coins. These coins serve as both your capital for activities within the Main City and the currency for purchasing dimensional goods.

Novice Apostles will receive a starting sum of 1,000 Dimensional Coins—use them wisely.

Special Warning: All affairs pertaining to the Dimensional Main City must remain confidential, with the exception of recruiting team members. Details regarding recruitment will be made available after the completion of the novice mission.

...

Lin Mu stood frozen after reading the novice instructions. Ha! So it wasn't unique—everyone who arrived here received the same...

A flicker of disappointment crossed Lin Mu's face, but he quickly regained his composure, reminding himself of the fortune he had in simply being here.

He then turned to the system and ventured, "So, starting now, I'm a Dimension Apostle?"

"Ding! Yes," came the prompt mechanical response, clearly an automated reply from a robot.

Despite his thoughts, Lin Mu's questions sped up, "Can I return to my original world?"

"Ding! Yes."

"How do I do that?"

"Ding! Complete the novice mission! Unlock the apostle's privileges."

"And what is the mission?"

As soon as Lin Mu asked, the light blue interface before him transformed, displaying a flurry of information: muscle strength, bone density, heart rate, organ function—complex data likely only comprehensible to medical professionals. Amidst the intricate patterns that Lin Mu couldn't decipher, there was one thing he recognized—a hexagon divided into separate sections, a common feature in many games, with each corner labeled: Strength, Agility, Wisdom, Charm, Defense, Wealth.

Lin Mu's hexagon was rather pitiful; aside from moderate scores in Wisdom and Charm, the rest barely registered.

Honestly, Lin Mu was quite handsome. His congenital albinism gave him an exceptionally pale complexion, silver hair, and violet eyes—a rarity even among those with the condition. He had inherited his mother's delicate features and his father's soft contours. Aside from his poor eyesight, his albinism actually seemed to enhance his attractiveness.

As Lin Mu surveyed the dismal hexagonal data, he arched an eyebrow and let out a sigh. Well, it was to be expected; he was a novice, after all.

Suddenly, a new, smaller interface popped up alongside the main one. It read clearly:

Newbie Mission: Enter the world of "Date A Live."

Main Mission: ??? (Depends on the Dimension Apostle's drawn ability)

Would you like to start the mission now?

Yes / No

Lin Mu's lips curled into a smile as he eyed what appeared to be the mission panel. This was getting interesting.

Without a moment's hesitation, he declared, "Yes." He had no clue what "Date A Live" entailed, nor did he care. To him, it was just another parallel universe. His real interest lay in whether this so-called Dimensional Main City could indeed be his gateway to other worlds.

As he pondered, a piercing white light suddenly engulfed his vision, followed by a dizzying sensation.

When his sight cleared, Lin Mu was astonished to find himself in a vast, white expanse. Before him stood a golden wheel with a red button at its center—presumably the activation switch.

Swallowing hard, Lin Mu realized this was all very real. With no remaining doubts, he strode up to the wheel and smacked the red button. The wheel whirred into motion, spinning for a full ten seconds before gradually coming to a halt. Lin Mu's gaze fixed on the segment the needle indicated.

Holy smokes! The Elf Spirit Power Sealing Force!

The name alone suggested an impressive ability.

Ability Description: Only effective in the world of "Date A Live." Go on dates with elves, make them blush, and through a kiss, their Spirit Power can be sealed within you.

"Huh?" Lin Mu's face froze in a mix of shock and disbelief as he uttered the sound.

What the hell? A date? Making her blush? And a kiss?! Damn it! What is this nonsense?! I'm done with this, okay?! I want to go home!!

Mission: Seal more spirits than Itsuka Shido.

A buzzing noise echoed in Lin Mu's mind, followed by a dizzying whirl.

When his vision cleared, Lin Mu realized he was sitting in a classroom. The students around him and the teacher at the podium had unusually colored hair...

'Is this... another world?' Lin Mu glanced around with curiosity, silently questioning.

Suddenly, the system interface materialized before him.

Current World: Date A Live

World Level: Lv5

Dimension Apostle (10086) Level: Lv1

Identity Implantation: Student at Buddhist High School in Heavenly Palace City

Main Mission: Seal more spirits than Itsuka Shido. (Failure to complete the mission will result in the termination of Apostle No. 10086.)

Lin Mu: "..." Overwhelmed by his arrival in a new world, he had momentarily forgotten the absurd reality he faced. He had drawn an incredibly absurd ability, tasking a guy who'd never had a girlfriend with dating spirits, making them blush, kissing them, and the kicker—according to the main mission, there were definitely more than one spirit... And if he failed, he'd be killed?!

In that moment, Lin Mu's initial thrill of the new world vanished, replaced by an intense sense of absurdity...

Yet, unbeknownst to him, beneath the shock and frustration, there was also a flicker of clarity taking root in his heart.
