The Dragon Clan was situated on top of the nine heavens in the sky. With noble bloodlines and implausible cultivation speeds, dragons were divine beasts that were both powerful and venerated. Loong Aotian, the son to the Dragon Clan’s patriarch, and the number one expert of the clan’s younger generation, is accused of falling in love with a human and begetting an offspring. Due to the superiority of the Dragon race, the elders deem the child as an outcast and a forbidden progeny. They compel Loong Aotian to give up his son or face dire consequences, a notion which is largely opposed by him. Unwilling to comply, he merges the clan’s strongest weapon, the Brilliant Golden Battle Spear into his child’s body before he is taken away and jailed for five hundred years.

A few years later, in the Ye family, an oblivious silver-haired Ye Xiaoyun is a young master who is unable to cultivate. For years since he started cultivation, he never progressed which led to him being labelled a useless trash in the family. That was until the dragon soul materialized in him after a rousing stimulation. Ye Xiaoyun is unaware that his destiny is larger than it seems, that his origin is much complicated and inclusive than his present family. He might just grow to be the greatest nine-clawed dragon ever to exist.
