C6 Cultivation of Martial Skills

Ye Xiaoyun approached his father's quarters and gave a knock on the door.

"Who's there?" came the voice of Ye Shenglin from within.

"Father, it's me, Yun," Ye Xiaoyun responded.

"Ah, Yun! Come in, come in!" Ye Shenglin exclaimed with joy.

Ye Xiaoyun pushed the door open and entered. "Father, what are you up to?"

"Just a bit of cultivation. What brings you here, Yun?" inquired Ye Shenglin.

"Father, I have some great news to share," Ye Xiaoyun said, beaming.

"Oh? What sort of great news?" Ye Shenglin's curiosity was piqued.

"I've begun my cultivation!" Ye Xiaoyun announced with elation.

"What? Repeat that for me," Ye Shenglin urged, his excitement palpable upon hearing the word 'cultivation'.

"I've started my cultivation," Ye Xiaoyun reiterated. He had anticipated his father's reaction, knowing full well his father's five-year-long hope for him to embark on this path.

"Five years... it's been five years. I always knew you could do it!" Ye Shenglin was overjoyed, feeling that their years of perseverance had finally paid off.

"Was it the spirit medicine I gave you that did the trick?" Ye Shenglin inquired.

"Indeed, it was thanks to the spirit medicine," confirmed Ye Xiaoyun with a nod.

"Yun, this is fantastic news! You're finally cultivating! Hahaha!" Ye Shenglin laughed heartily, unable to contain his happiness.

"Actually, Father, there's something else I need to discuss with you," Ye Xiaoyun added.

"What is it? Go ahead."

"Could you provide me with a few martial arts techniques?"

"Martial arts techniques? Are you looking to train in those?" Ye Shenglin asked.

"Yes," Ye Xiaoyun affirmed with a nod.

"You've only just begun your journey in martial arts; it's not advisable to start training in techniques yet. It's better to wait until you've reached the fifth stage of the Martial Mortal Realm," Ye Shenglin advised, hoping Ye Xiaoyun would first solidify his foundational skills, as it was customary for Martial Mortals to begin technique training at the fifth stage.

"I've already reached the fifth stage of the Martial Mortal Realm," Ye Xiaoyun revealed.

"What? You're already at the fifth stage?" Ye Shenglin was taken aback by his son's rapid progress.

"That's right, I've reached the fifth stage of Martial Mortal," Ye Xiaoyun declared, letting his aura radiate outward.

"How can this be? Yun, how did you manage it?" Ye Shenglin asked, astounded.

"Well, to be honest, I'm not entirely sure myself," Ye Xiaoyun admitted.

"Very well, Yun, I'm going to give you a martial skill now." Ye Shenglin turned and began searching through the bookshelf, quickly selecting a tome.

"Here's the Dorje Fist, a Human Rank martial skill. Start your cultivation with this," Ye Shenglin instructed, handing the book to Ye Xiaoyun.

"Thank you, Father," Ye Xiaoyun said, his voice filled with joy as he accepted the martial skill.

"Alright, get to your cultivation," Ye Shenglin encouraged.

"Yes, I'll take my leave now," Ye Xiaoyun said, and then he departed.

Back in his room, Ye Xiaoyun immersed himself in studying the Dorje Fist. The skill seemed to suit him well and was relatively easy for him to cultivate.

The Dorje Fist consisted of five powerful punches, each focusing on wide, sweeping movements and the concentration of one's own aura to unleash explosive force.

"This Dorje Fist is straightforward and brutal, without any unnecessary frills—quite practical," Ye Xiaoyun remarked, practicing the moves.

"I think I've got the hang of it. Time to test it out." Setting the book aside, he stepped into the courtyard.

"Dorje Fist!" Ye Xiaoyun focused, channeling his aura into his fists.

"Hah!" With a punch, he sent a fierce gust of wind swirling through the air.

He followed with a second punch, even more formidable than the first, and then a third, surpassing the might of the previous two.

"Whew, that really takes it out of you," Ye Xiaoyun gasped, catching his breath. For anyone else, landing even one punch would be impressive, but Ye Xiaoyun had executed three in quick succession, a testament to his exceptional aptitude and talent.

"I mustn't be hasty; it's important to cultivate this gradually." After a brief rest, Ye Xiaoyun returned to his room to continue his training.

Ye Xiaoyun sat cross-legged, his hands converging at his Dantian, channeling the Holy Dragon Heart Arts.

He could feel the Pills and medicinal herbs he had ingested over the past five years being absorbed by his Dantian.

"I'm on the verge of a breakthrough," Ye Xiaoyun sensed, hastening the flow of the Heart Arts.

A dragon's roar echoed as Ye Xiaoyun's eyes snapped open. Anyone witnessing his gaze would be struck with awe, for within his eyes, a silver dragon danced.

"Phew, fantastic! Another breakthrough!" Ye Xiaoyun exclaimed with excitement, now capable of matching a Martial Cultivator of Rank Eight.

"Young Master, did you hear any odd noises?" At that moment, a knock sounded at the door, and Ye Xiaoxia's voice followed.

Opening the door, Ye Xiaoyun asked, "Xiaoxia, what is it?"

"Young Master, I thought I heard a strange sound, like a wild beast's roar," Ye Xiaoxia explained.

"No, I didn't catch anything. Could you have misheard?" Ye Xiaoyun feigned ignorance, not about to reveal that he was the source of the sound.

"But I'm sure I heard it," Ye Xiaoxia insisted, unwilling to concede she might be mistaken.

"I really didn't hear anything. It's possible you misheard."

"Well, okay then," Ye Xiaoxia relented, scratching her head.

"By the way, Young Master, have you been practicing any martial skills?" Ye Xiaoxia inquired, her curiosity piqued.

"Yes, I've mastered a new martial skill," Ye Xiaoyun confirmed.

"Could you demonstrate it for me? I'm very curious to see which martial skill you've learned," Ye Xiaoxia pressed.

"Sure, let's head to the courtyard," he agreed, and they made their way outside.

Ye Xiaoyun launched three successive punches, feeling far less fatigued than before, and decided to attempt a fourth.

The air exploded with the force of his punch, and after the fourth strike, Ye Xiaoyun sat down to rest. If Ye Han were to witness this, his mouth would hang open and his eyes bulge in disbelief. To execute four punches in a single day was an astonishing rate of cultivation.

"Wow, Young Master, you're truly incredible. You'll surely take down Ye Han," Ye Xiaoxia exclaimed with genuine joy, her happiness for Ye Xiaoyun palpable.

"Xiaoxia, I'm starving." Ye Xiaoyun had spent the entire afternoon immersed in his cultivation, and now, as evening approached, it was time for a well-deserved meal.

"I'll get started on dinner. You should head back to your room and get some rest—you must be exhausted from all that training," Ye Xiaoxia suggested before heading off to prepare the meal.

Once dinner was ready, they shared the meal together. Afterwards, Ye Xiaoxia retreated to her own room, while Ye Xiaoyun settled on his bed, adopting a cross-legged position to continue his cultivation.

Meanwhile, in his quarters, Ye Han's eyes flickered open, revealing a gleam of triumph. "Tomorrow, I'll break through to Martial Cultivator Rank Eight! Ye Xiaoyun, you just wait and see! Hahahaha!"
