C1 Five War God Temples

Dragon's Maw Prison.

The inmates here were the most heinous criminals the world had ever seen.

Traitorous spies who trafficked in secrets, assassins who had taken down emperors, and freaks responsible for massive attacks.

Yet, this prison answered to no organization, and its inmates had no set terms.

All because of the invincible Twelve Jailers within its walls!

As such, no one had ever walked out of Dragon's Maw Prison.

To be sent here was to be subdued, no matter how powerful.

Today, Chu Chenglong shattered the myth of Dragon's Maw Prison.

"Dragon Emperor, after you leave, please deliver this letter to my family. In return, the Obith Black Demon Assassin Group will heed only your command!"

"Dragon Emperor, from this day forward, the Rainsong Consortium is yours!"

Both the Black Demon Emperor and the King of Terror from the underworld lavished him with their treasures.

Dragon's Maw Prison could contain even the mightiest, ensuring their perpetual confinement.

Yet, Chu Chenglong was the exception. They entrusted their power to him with confidence!

An elderly man approached, his hands trembling as he grasped Chu Chenglong's: "Dragon Emperor, with this token, you will become the supreme ruler of the Western underworld! All its resources are at your disposal!"

This old man was once the true emperor of the underworld, regarding human life as worthless and living a life steeped in violence.

He had plunged the West into decades of darkness!

And his wealth was so vast it could rival that of nations.

"Alright, I accept your generous offers, my brothers!" Chu Chenglong looked upon his fellow inmates with deep emotion.

They were among the world's most formidable, feared by many.

Now, armed with their resources, he could effortlessly establish his own empire outside these walls.

"Dragon Emperor, you are free to leave."

The Twelve Jailers stood by, granting Chu Chenglong his release.

With a thunderous roar, the long-sealed gates of Dragon's Maw Prison swung open.

"Finally, I'm free!"

Chu Chenglong took deep breaths of the fresh air as he stepped out of prison, savoring the freedom that surrounded him. He was the esteemed young master of the Chu family in Prabury, Chigoris, a family that stood at the pinnacle of the Hundred Clans. Their status was considered unattainable.

But fortune is fickle, and a sudden shift in Prabury's commerce dealt a devastating blow to the Chu family's foundation. Once powerful and influential, the Chu family was now vulnerable, like a lamb awaiting slaughter. Their empire crumbled, and their assets were picked apart by rival families.

In a stunning turn of events, Chu Tianhe's most trusted aide, Yang Xianchen, rose to power, becoming the new ruler of Prabury. The Yang family swiftly ascended to the forefront of the Hundred Clans. It was only then that Chu Tianhe realized he had nurtured a treacherous serpent in his midst.

Determined to secure their hard-won position, the Yang family resolved to eradicate the Chu family entirely, eliminating any potential threats to their newfound dominance. With no other choice, Chu Tianhe made arrangements for his relatives and fled with his son to their ancestral home in Istripgan. They faced numerous assassination attempts by the Yang family along their perilous journey.

Thankfully, Chen Jun, Chu Tianhe's closest friend, took in the beleaguered father and son, offering them temporary refuge. But Chu Tianhe knew this was not a sustainable solution. He turned his thoughts to the legendary Dragon's Maw Prison, reputed for its decent living conditions and imperviousness to external influence.

Exhausting all his resources and going to great lengths, Chu Tianhe managed to have Chu Chenglong sent to Dragon's Maw Prison. Most would struggle to comprehend a father's decision to imprison his own child. Yet, Chu Chenglong, wise beyond his years, understood his father's painstaking choice.

Chu Tianhe had instructed him to abandon all hope of leaving Dragon's Maw Prison, to resign himself to a life within its walls. But Chu Chenglong was not one to accept a fate confined behind bars. Despite the prison's ironclad rule that no one, not even a Dragon Emperor, could leave once they entered, Chu Chenglong was determined to find his freedom.

Despite facing twelve invincible Jailers, Chu Chenglong vowed on his first day within Dragon's Maw to defeat them and swiftly find his father!

Today, he has finally accomplished that goal.

At ten years old, he felt ready to challenge the Twelve Jailers, but he carried the Dragon Emperor's aura, and beneath the Dragon's Maw Prison's ley lines flowed Dragonbreath!

He decided to absorb all the Dragonbreath before leaving, which led to a ten-year delay.

After emerging from Dragon's Maw, Chu Chenglong set off directly for the West.

Over the next six months, he wandered through the West's major regions, assuming control of the forces his fellow inmates had entrusted to him.

Moreover, he shattered the War God Ranking, battling from the 100th to the 1st place!

The entire West was plunged into endless panic as the Dragon Emperor's name thundered across the skies!

Regrettably, Chu Chenglong received no news of his father.

So, he planned to return home, hoping his father was safe; if not, he was prepared to unleash vengeance upon the Yang family in Prabury.

Before heading home, he reached out to Uncle Chen Jun.

He intended to establish a base in Istripgan first, gradually expanding his influence to aid in his search for his father.

He had already arranged for Rainsong's presence in Istripgan, which reportedly caused quite a sensation.

Chu Chenglong returned alone, despite many in the West vying to serve him.

The incident with his father had taught him caution; he trusted no one easily.

Even his private flight was meticulously arranged by Rainsong.

Yet, mid-flight, Chu Chenglong's pilot received an urgent warning.

He reported swiftly, "Dragon Emperor, the Chigoris defense headquarters has issued a warning, demanding our immediate return and forbidding entry into Chigoris territory! Otherwise, the five War God Temples will unite to sanction us!"

"Oh? That's quite bold. No need to pay it any mind!"

Chu Chenglong chuckled at the absurdity.

Chigoris, in a bid to stop his return, had gone as far as to deploy the Five Great War God Temples. It was clear they were deeply wary of him, given his sweeping victories on the Western War God Ranking.

Yet, to him, the Five War God Temples hardly merited a second glance.

Chen Jun had been electrified by the news days earlier, finding himself too excited to sleep for several nights.

On the appointed day, he arrived at the airport punctually, accompanied by his wife and daughter.

"Dad, are you really planning to marry me off to a man I've never even met? How could you consider such a thing?"

Chen Jun's daughter, Chen Miaomiao, was undeniably charming and beautiful.

The revelation that her father had arranged a marriage for her before she was even born was something she struggled to come to terms with!

Lee Moxue, Chen Jun's wife, chimed in with concern.

"Old Chen, can this Chu Chenglong truly be a match for our daughter?"

"Indeed!"

Bolstered by her mother's support, Chen Miaomiao lifted her head with a newfound sense of pride.

Her ideal partner was a renowned War God, celebrated on the War God Ranking.

After all,

Her father was a prominent entrepreneur in Shen City, with considerable wealth.

Her mother hailed from a distinguished family, known for their medical expertise!

Only a War God would be worthy in her eyes!

And clearly,

The arranged marriage her father had set up for her,

Could not possibly be with a War God.

He simply wasn't up to par.

As Chen Jun was about to interject and add his thoughts, the airport suddenly trembled.

Dozens of combat helicopters touched down in succession.

Then, an army of individuals clad in battle gear encircled the airport completely.

In the distance, the rumble of war chariots grew louder.

In an instant, the entire airport was under siege!

The Chen family, bewildered by the unfolding events, didn't know how to react.

Chen Miaomiao, however, was visibly thrilled.

She recognized the insignia.

These helicopters and war chariots belonged to Chigoris's Five Great War God Temples!

It was her first time witnessing the Five Temples making such a grand entrance together!

"Temples of the Black Tortoise..."

"Temples of the Sacred Phoenix..."

"Guardian Temples..."

"Temples of Thunder..."

"Solar Shrine..."

"Oh my God!"

"Is this a dream?"
