C15 Air Stewardess

Chen Miaomiao refrained from saying anything further upon seeing Chen Jun steadfastly defend Chu Chenglong. With a pout, she was visibly upset.

At that moment, Chu Chenglong turned to Chen Jun with a smile, "Uncle Chen, I really enjoyed our time outside today, and the food was delicious."

Chen Jun beamed with satisfaction. "That's great to hear. As both an uncle and a father, my biggest concern is any discord among you. It seems my worries were unfounded. Ha!"

Chen Miaomiao was inwardly distraught but couldn't show it in front of her dad. She knew he always took Chu Chenglong's side, and any slight criticism of him would result in a lecture from her father. All she could do was steal a glance at Chu Chenglong with a hint of annoyance.

Soon after, Lee Moxue called, and it was for Chen Jun. Chen Miaomiao's spirits lifted—her mom was coming to her aid! She eagerly leaned in to listen to the conversation between her parents.

Lee Moxue asked over the phone, "Chen Jun, is Chu Chenglong there?"

"Yes, dear, he's here. What's up? They had a lot of fun today," Chen Jun replied.

"That's good to hear," Lee Moxue responded. "I'm on a business trip in Xotwell, and I wanted to tell you that the project I've been negotiating is almost a done deal. I'm calling to offer a suggestion. Would you like to hear it?"

"Of course, let's hear it," Chen Jun said, intrigued.

Lee Moxue explained, "Well, Chu Chenglong has been back in the country for a while now, and he hasn't found anything substantial to do. The project I'm working on in Xotwell is promising, so I thought it would be good for Chu Chenglong to come here and gain some experience. And Miaomiao has been wanting to visit Xotwell for a while now."

Chen Jun, considering the proposal, found it agreeable. He nodded and said, "Alright, we'll go with your suggestion. I'll discuss it with Chenglong right away. I'm sure he'll be on board."

Chen Jun ended the call and then relayed the entire situation to Chu Chenglong, adding a few extra comments at the end.

"Chenglong, your aunt is quite formidable in the business world," he said. "This trip is an opportunity to broaden your horizons and to give Miaomiao a chance to have some fun. Regarding money, take this card with you. It has two million on it, which should be plenty for your trip. The PIN is Miaomiao's birthday."

Chu Chenglong nodded in agreement. "Understood, Uncle. I'll make sure Miaomiao has a joyful return from our trip to Xotwell."

Chen Jun nodded, pleased. "Good. Rest well tonight, and you can start your journey first thing tomorrow morning."

Chen Miaomiao appeared to be in high spirits as well. She was aware that her mother's intentions weren't simply for Chu Chenglong to gain experience or for leisure. Her mother definitely had a clever plan in mind to handle Chu Chenglong. With that thought, Miaomiao began to eagerly anticipate the next day.

Chu Chenglong's bedroom had never been comfortable, so he spent the night meditating on the windowsill instead. The night passed quietly.

The following morning, after Chu Chenglong and Miaomiao had breakfast, they took the family's chauffeured vehicle to the airport. Before boarding the plane, Chen Miaomiao bluntly addressed Chu Chenglong, "Hand over the card with the two million that Dad gave you. Someone like you won't do anything worthwhile with it. Here's a hundred yuan for you to use if you need money." She tossed the money at him without a hint of courtesy.

Passersby glanced over curiously, mistaking them for a quarreling couple.

"Alright then, here's the card, Miaomiao. Let's hurry to the plane so we don't miss our flight," Chu Chenglong said as he handed the card to Miaomiao and pocketed the hundred yuan.

Miaomiao looked at Chu Chenglong with disdain. "You really have the nerve to take that hundred yuan. I'll give you another hundred – do you want it? But this time, I'm throwing it on the ground. And don't you dare tell my dad I didn't give you any money to spend!"

Chu Chenglong shook his head and urged, "Come on, Miaomiao, let's not waste any more time."

"Why the rush?" Miaomiao responded, clearly annoyed. "I couldn't snag a first-class ticket online, so I'm off to upgrade. You, on the other hand, will be just fine in economy class. Don't look so displeased; you should be grateful you're not stuck in the baggage hold!"

"Fine, let's just get going. It doesn't really matter where I sit; we just need to make sure we're on time."

No sooner had Chu Chenglong spoken than Chen Miaomiao, with a look of dissatisfaction, turned on her heel and headed to the service desk to upgrade her seat to first class. Meanwhile, Chu Chenglong's seat remained in the standard economy class.

Once on the plane, Miaomiao gestured towards the economy section and said dismissively, "Off you go to find your seat. That's where you belong."

The economy class was bustling with people of all sorts, creating a cacophony of noise. In stark contrast, first class offered not only more space and fewer passengers but also personalized service for its occupants.

Chu Chenglong settled into his seat in economy without a word. Shortly thereafter, a lovely flight attendant approached him with a polite greeting. "Hello, sir. Congratulations, you've been selected as the lucky passenger on this flight. The captain extends a special invitation for you to occupy the exclusive seat in the cockpit, where you'll enjoy premium views. Furthermore, you'll have dedicated service for the entire flight!"

Chu Chenglong was taken aback by the news.

A lucky passenger?

His fortune was unexpectedly good!

He rose and followed the flight attendant to the cockpit, unavoidably passing through the first-class cabin where Chen Miaomiao was seated.

Seeing Chu Chenglong being ushered into the cockpit, Chen Miaomiao was incredulous. She quickly summoned the flight attendant and demanded, "Hey, why is that good-for-nothing allowed in the cockpit? Are you out of your minds? Why isn't my seat being upgraded too?"

The flight attendant calmly explained, "Miss, the gentleman is this flight's lucky passenger, a privilege limited to one individual, so we're unable to switch your seat. However, we can offer you our finest coffee to enjoy. Would you like some?"

Upon hearing the announcement, Chen Miaomiao's irritation grew. "Lucky passenger? He's nothing but a completely worthless jerk. And you've chosen him as the lucky passenger? This airline is a joke. I swear, I'm never flying with you again!"
