Despite Huo Ming being a Level 4 Beast Soul practitioner, his actual combat prowess paled in comparison to his cultivation level. He had always dedicated himself to cultivating his Soul Power and Spiritual Power, yet his battle skills were significantly lacking compared to someone like Lee Yunlong.

It was now clear to him that his combat techniques were also vastly inferior to Lei Yan's, which is why he felt apprehensive about Lei Yan.

Seeing Lee Yunlong and Lei Yan's success, the others were greatly encouraged, while the Double-headed Devil Wolves showed no signs of retreat, continuing their ferocious battle.

"After my breakthrough to Beast Soul Level 1, my body's Soul Power has tripled compared to when I was at the Peak of The Human Soul. Now I can use Soul Power to capture three Devil Beasts at once," Lei Yan noted, feeling an abundance of Soul Power within him after securing the Double-headed Devil Wolf in his ring.

"It's impossible to slay all the Double-headed Devil Wolves here," Lee Yunlong mused after dispatching one. He realized that if he fought too recklessly, he might inadvertently benefit others, particularly Huo Ming.

"All I need to do is carve a bloody path through the pack of Double-headed Devil Wolves," Lee Yunlong reflected, finally formulating a plan.

He swiftly drew his sword and charged into the pack of Double-headed Devil Wolves. Unlike before, he didn't focus his attacks on a single wolf. Instead, he weaved through them with incredible speed.

Lee Yunlong had a strategy: he would not strike the Double-headed Devil Wolves unless they attacked him first.

Lei Yan saw right through Lee Yunlong's tactics and plunged into the fray.

Huo Ting, Yang Yong, Bing'er, and the others quickly followed his lead.

Lei Yan executed the Nine Profound Steps, darting past one Double-headed Devil Wolf after another. Within five or six minutes, he had caught up with Lee Yunlong.

The Nine Profound Steps were mystical, transforming Lei Yan into a series of blurs that whisked past the wolves.

"Lei Yan, it's you!" Lee Yunlong instantly recognized him upon seeing his figure.

Lee Yunlong's agility paled in comparison to Lei Yan's, which had led to him being attacked by six Double-headed Devil Wolves. Despite this, he managed to repel each one with his formidable strength and masterful swordsmanship, though it slowed him down and made the battle more challenging.

Exhausted, Lee Yunlong's competitive spirit flared upon spotting Lei Yan.

Lei Yan paid him no mind and kept moving forward.

The Double-headed Devil Wolves launched into a wild assault upon seeing Lei Yan's fleeting afterimages, but their efforts were futile against the Nine Profound Steps.

"That guy's movement technique is so intricate!" Huo Ming marveled, navigating through the pack while keeping his eyes locked on Lei Yan.

Bing'er and Yang Yong also displayed impressive agility, evading most of the wolves' attacks. When evasion wasn't an option, they used their strength to defend themselves.

Lee Yunlong was a formidable fighter, but among the four, his agility was the least adept, resulting in him being overtaken by Huo Ming, Bing'er, and Yang Yong one by one.

At that moment, a thunderous wolf howl erupted from the direction of the exit, followed by a chorus of roars from all the Double-headed Devil Wolves.

"Not good, it looks like a Double-headed Devil Wolf has broken through," Lei Yan realized, drawing on the Devil Sovereign's memories. He knew that one of the wolves must have evolved into a Double-headed Devil Wolf King.

Typically, an adult Double-headed Devil Wolf is a Rank 3 Devil Beast, and breaking through is a rare feat. But once one does, it ascends to the status of a Double-headed Devil Wolf King.

When a Rank 3 Devil Beast, like the Double-headed Devil Wolf, breaks through, its power surges dramatically, potentially rivaling the combat prowess of a Human Cultivator at Artifact Soul Level 1.

Lei Yan caught sight of the newly evolved Double-headed Devil Wolf King, its stature now double that of its counterparts, radiating an aura of ferocity several times more intense.

The initial shock subsiding, the other twenty-odd individuals steadied themselves and resumed their rush toward the exit.

The colossal Double-headed Devil Wolf stood in their way at the exit; they had to defeat or drive it off to escape.

Lei Yan held off on attacking until Lee Yunlong, Bing'er, Yang Yong, and Huo Ming joined him. Together, the five launched their assault.

They unleashed their unique skills in a frenzied battle against the Double-headed Devil Wolf King.

Lee Yunlong swung his sword, Bing'er cracked her whip, and Yang Yong slashed with his saber relentlessly at the Double-headed Devil Wolf King, while Huo Ming and Lei Yan covertly executed Soul Power Attacks.

The Devil Wolf King's scaly armor was incredibly resilient; even Lee Yunlong's full-force sword strikes could only inflict minor wounds.

Despite their vigorous efforts, the intense battle took its toll on Lee Yunlong, Bing'er, and Yang Yong, rapidly depleting their Spiritual Power and Soul Power, leaving them gasping for breath.

If not for Huo Ming and Lei Yan's Soul Power Attacks drawing the main focus of the Devil Wolf King, they would have sustained injuries long before.

"Roar!" The Devil Wolf King felt its Spiritual Power and Soul Power being siphoned away gradually, which enraged it immensely.

Swoosh!

In a sudden burst of fury, the Devil Wolf King lunged at Lei Yan, driven by its instinct that identified him as the greatest threat.

Lei Yan was ready, swiftly employing the Nine Profound Steps to evade the attack.

As the Devil Wolf King soared over where Lei Yan had stood, he vanished as if he were never there.

The very next instant, the Devil Wolf King's head was hammered by a powerful fist.

Simultaneously, Lee Yunlong, Bing'er, and Yang Yong struck the Devil Wolf King with their weapons.
