C4 Recultivating Soul Power
The vast rapeseed field became their bed, a place where they reveled in each other's company, lost in the joy of the moment.
Lei Yan was captivated by the allure of Yang Siqi in the throes of pleasure. The experience was so profound that words failed to capture its essence. He simply knew that being with such a woman was a life-affirming event.
As night fell, they lay entwined in the field, having shared their deepest questions and understood each other completely before drifting off to sleep.
At five o'clock the next morning, Lei Yan awoke from a beautiful dream to find Yang Siqi missing from his side, which sent a wave of panic through him. As he began to search, he noticed a dudou on the ground next to a necklace and a letter.
Picking up the letter, Lei Yan read, "A night with you is unforgettable. I must return to the Clear Spirit Immortal Palace to prepare for our future. When you reach the pinnacle of your cultivation, come for me, and I will be by your side for a lifetime."
Memories of the previous night's passion with Yang Siqi flooded his mind. The thought of being intimate with such an exquisite beauty and winning her over filled him with a sense of triumph and fulfillment.
He picked up the dudou, inhaling the lingering scent of Siqi's fragrance, and a rapturous smile spread across his face. "The primal scent of a woman is truly intoxicating," Lei Yan mused with a sigh, then lamented, "What a pity she left so soon. A morning encore would have been delightful—a missed opportunity indeed."
After savoring the moment, Lei Yan packed away Siqi's undergarment, necklace, and letter.
Sighing, he resolved, "Time to focus on healing the Sinew Power Orbs within me. Siqi awaits my conquest of the Soul Weeping Continent and her ascension as my empress. If the world knew the Devil Sovereign had been bested by a crippled man, the mockery would be unbearable. I cannot allow such a thing to happen."
The 108 Sinew Power Orbs within my body are shattered, making immediate repair an impossibility. Moreover, a persistent poison courses through me, steadily corroding my being. I must begin my cultivation anew, enhancing my physical condition to stave off the poison's progression."
Lei Yan inhaled deeply, bolstering his confidence. His path forward was one step at a time.
In the Soul Weeping Continent, power struggles revolved around Soul Power. The one with the mightiest Soul Power reigned supreme, and their faith was placed in this formidable force.
Yet, starting over in cultivation was a daunting task. With all 108 Sinew Power Orbs in my body broken, unable to store Soul Power, and the presence of poison, the challenge was immense.
"Alas, awakening the Human Soul to bolster my body's resistance is the priority. Delaying the poison's effects is crucial. For now, I'll hold off on condensing Soul Power and focus on mending the Sinew Power Orbs." Lei Yan sighed, then swiftly settled into a cross-legged position.
As he sat, an idea struck him—the Guan Yuan Acupuncture Point just below the navel, a vital point in the body that, during intimacy, could delay climax and concentrate various essences. At the height of ecstasy, it could transfer these essences into a woman's body. Considering his body was riddled with poison, why not open this point, link it with the Sinew Power Orb, and use the connection during intimacy with a woman to rapidly draw the poison to this spot and expel it?
This thought considerably lifted his spirits, and Lei Yan felt as if he had glimpsed sunlight through the clouds.
The Devil Sovereign was unaware of this knowledge, which Lei Yan had brought with him from the modern era.
Opening the acupuncture point was a breeze, taking Lei Yan mere minutes to accomplish. Next on his agenda was the awakening of his own soul.
As for Soul Power, the Devil Sovereign had already reached the pinnacle of the Origin Soul Realm. To cultivate anew was merely to tread the path once more.
Lei Yan shut his eyes, tapping into the Devil Sovereign's heightened consciousness to probe his mind. He endeavored to rouse his soul from its seven apertures, akin to a consciousness encased in ice. Awakening it was like a person with diminished willpower trapped in a nightmare, struggling desperately to emerge yet unable to pry open their eyes.
Lei Yan sat in meditation, losing all sense of time. He felt as though he had plunged into an endless abyss, his mind swirling with vertigo and a relentless fear of falling. No matter how hard he tried, he couldn't focus his hazy consciousness.
Time passed indeterminately until he abruptly opened his eyes to complete darkness. As his sight returned, he caught the flicker of candlelight in the corner of his eye, illuminating rows of tiles, spider webs, and patches of white mold.
He found himself inside a tiled-roof house.
Questions flooded Lei Yan's mind. Hadn't he awakened his Human Soul in the rapeseed fields? How did he end up here?
"You've woken up."
The question persisted for a few seconds until a clear, sweet voice captured his attention. Turning his head, he saw a tall girl, stooped over, sneaking toward him with a steamed bun and some vegetables in hand.
As the girl came into view, Lei Yan was struck by her stunning presence. His weary mind instantly perked up. Despite her simple, faded clothes that masked her true elegance, her natural beauty was undeniable—a true vision of loveliness.
Her skin was porcelain white, her stature tall, and her eyes sparkled. She was modestly dressed, a stark contrast to modern women who often flaunted their figures. Yet, Lei Yan could tell that her legs were exceptionally long, the kind belonging to a runway model.
"Village Head Hao, if your village fails to produce a Soul Cultivator capable of awakening the Human Soul this year, don't blame the Divine Plant Pill Sect for demanding more of your food and silver," a man's voice said, tinged with a mix of reluctance and authority.
This was Hao's Village, a sizable community with hundreds of residents. The back mountain was plagued by demon beasts that frequently preyed on the villagers, leaving their safety in the hands of the Divine Plant Pill Sect.
But protection came at a price. The Divine Plant Pill Sect required the village to provide a Soul Cultivator each year to work for them.
"Soul Cultivator Lu, our village is running low on food. The villagers are barely getting by. If the Divine Plant Pill Sect takes any more, we'll starve. Please, speak on our behalf, plead for mercy. I'm begging you, I'm down on my knees," pleaded the middle-aged man known as Village Head Hao, as he knelt down. The fate of the entire village weighed heavily on his shoulders.
"It happens every year. Your actions put pressure on me too, with the higher-ups breathing down my neck," Soul Cultivator Lu said, his face etched with anxiety. Then, his expression shifted to one of sly cunning. "We all meet frequently, and I'm active in the village. There's a bond between us. I'm willing to help, but I can't do it for free."
As he spoke, Cultivator Lu looked somewhat sheepish, glancing around the room.
Village Head Hao, sensing an opportunity, felt his worry dissipate. "Name your terms. I'll make sure they're met," he assured.
"Well, Village Head, I've reached the age to settle down, and your daughter is quite the beauty. How about you give her hand in marriage to me? It would make my involvement in the village more convenient, especially having a place to rest," Cultivator Lu said, his eyes gleaming at the mention of Village Head Hao's daughter. He had long coveted her.
Hearing this, Village Head Hao's eyebrows shot up. He scrutinized the tall, slightly overweight man with a pockmarked face before him. The mere sight was enough to make him feel nauseous, and now this man wanted to marry his delicate and beautiful daughter?
The man must have lost his mind.
