As the city's guard army was deployed and the newcomers in the beginner's training area were swiftly and safely escorted into the city, Faang Chen had already donned a mask and slipped into Su's Auction House.
Upon presenting his gold card, he was promptly ushered into a private room.
"Esteemed guest, please wait here. Our senior appraiser will arrive shortly."
"There's no need for that. Just bring Su Mo to me," Faang Chen requested.
"Of course, just a moment, please!"
The receptionist departed with grace.
Faang Chen had dealt with Su Mo on his last visit, and the old man had left a favorable impression, prompting Faang Chen to seek him out again.
Su Mo soon entered the room.
"Esteemed guest, I am at your service," Su Mo greeted. "Are you here to purchase or to sell?"
"To sell."
"I have quite a few items, so please bear with me," Faang Chen said, and with a wave of his hand, the room burst into a kaleidoscope of colors as a heap of materials materialized.
These were the spoils from his raids on the territories of the Heavenly Bull Race and the Goblins, including items from the Goblin Ancestor's projection.
With time being of the essence, he hadn't yet examined his loot.
Now, he laid it all out at once, leaving Su Mo momentarily stunned.
"Let's start," Faang Chen prompted.
Snapping out of his daze, Su Mo began inspecting the glittering array.
Faang Chen glanced over the items as well, and to his surprise, among the shining treasures were three pieces of equipment.
One in particular, radiating a golden glow, had been dropped by the Goblin Ancestor.
Goblin Ancestor's Advancement Wand

As Faang Chen perused the item's description, a wave of envy washed over him. The Magic Master was a high-attack profession, and typical blue gear boasted attributes of either Intelligence or psychic force. Gear that offered both was exorbitantly priced, and those with special effects were in a league of their own—outright astronomical in value. The special effect on this piece was nothing short of game-changing.
It was common knowledge that Magic Masters had a critical vulnerability: their skills required time to chant, making them easy targets in one-on-one duels. Against swift and powerful swordsmen or assassins, a Magic Master could be slain before casting a single spell. Thus, for a Magic Master, gear that reduced casting time was invaluable, beyond any market price.
Su Mo's expression shifted noticeably at the sight of the equipment. The prominent Goblin Ancestor projection emblazoned on the item betrayed its prestigious origin.
"Our esteemed guest, this weapon could fetch around one billion at auction. Our auction house is prepared to offer a direct purchase for one billion. Would that be acceptable?" Su Mo proposed eagerly.
Faang Chen responded with a smile, "Absolutely!"
While auctioning the weapon might have brought in an excess of one billion, Faang Chen couldn't afford to wait. He needed the money urgently, and he wasn't inclined to delay. After all, there would be plenty of opportunities for such gear in the future—no sense in squandering time here.
"Let's move on to the second item," Faang Chen suggested.
The next two pieces of equipment were as follows:

At first glance, the bracelet's description seemed underwhelming. A 1% health regeneration per second might be decent for grinding levels or farming, but it was almost inconsequential in player combat. Yet, the boost to base Intelligence and psychic force made it a valuable asset.
Su Mo's final offer was 300 million, which Faang Chen accepted with pleasure.

With the Divine Insect Fission ability, the additional damage from the equipment became less crucial.
If any problem arose that his insects couldn't handle, he'd simply continue to split them. If that didn't resolve the issue, he'd split them again.
With enough insects, even the world bosses would have to acknowledge him.

"I'm not selling it! I'm keeping it for myself!" Faang Chen interjected.
Su Mo was taken aback by the interruption, but as a seasoned Advanced Appraiser, he quickly composed himself.
Out of the five glimmers of light, two revealed items that weren't equipment.
Faang Chen noticed one was a skill book.
Goblin Legacy: Earth Wall Technique
A Mage skill that allows the summoning of an earth wall to divide, block, and intercept enemies. The size of the earth wall can be adjusted at will, depending on the Mage's psychic force.
Faang Chen was delighted by the introduction; it was a skill for controlling the battlefield.
For a Mage, apart from delivering high damage, battlefield control was paramount.
A skilled Mage could segment and manage the battlefield to great effect, depending on the situation at hand.
"How much for this?" Faang Chen inquired.
Su Mo, with an awkward smile, replied, "You have a keen eye, honored guest. We're asking for five hundred million for this skill book!"
Faang Chen nodded in approval. The price was fair, even more valuable than the Goblin Ancestor's bracelet.
You should know that the Goblin Ancestor's advanced bracelet, despite its high tier, has rather mundane attributes. And stumbling upon a control-type Mage skill book isn't an everyday occurrence. Given that Magic Masters are in high demand, no one would ever complain about having an abundance of control spells at their disposal.
Faang Chen's attention was captured by the last item. To his surprise, it was a drop from the Seven Star Heavenly Ox King—an item he had previously overlooked.

Yet, the impressive speed of 300 meters per second outstripped most wings in its class. Naturally, such speed came with a hefty mana consumption rate.
"My psychic force currently stands at 838, and my mana is tenfold that, which totals 8,380," Faang Chen calculated. "At a consumption rate of 100 MP per second, I can sustain flight for just over a minute. That burst of speed could be crucial during combat."
Curious, Faang Chen inquired, "What's the price for these wings?"
"One hundred million," Su Mo responded.
"These specialized flying tools have their drawbacks. They're fast, but the mana drain is significant. If you're interested, our trade company offers a comparable flying tool for 500 million gold coins, and it doesn't require mana. It's slower, though, with a flight speed of only 100 meters per second. If you're looking for something faster, we'd have to order it from our Northriver headquarters, and those start at one billion."
Hearing this, Faang Chen shook his head. Investing such a substantial sum into equipment didn't seem prudent at the moment. He'd be better off focusing on increasing and evolving his Divine Insects.
"So, I'll pass on selling it for now; it'll suffice," Faang Chen decided. "Let's tally up the other items. Also, I'm in need of level 60 Beastmaster gear that boosts psychic force—no weapons necessary."
"Alright, just give me a moment!"
Su Mo sprang into action without delay.
In just a short time, Su Mo had everything ready and announced,
"The total for your items and groceries comes to two billion. We'll throw in the level 60 Beastmaster equipment for free as a token of our appreciation for your patronage!"
"Furthermore, your sales have qualified you for diamond member status!"
