C9 Secret Documents!

Lin Kexin eagerly opened the documents and meticulously combed through them. To her astonishment, they contained information about the very project she was vying for, including what appeared to be Chepapp's confidential files.

She knew that without insider access to Chepapp, these documents would be unattainable.

Looking up at Lin Han, she noticed he had changed significantly since they first met. Doubts crept into her mind, prompting her to inquire, "Where did you get these documents? How could you possibly have access to such confidential materials? Without company insiders, it would be impossible to obtain them."

Lin Han offered a casual smile. "It's just a bit of information, no big deal. I told you I'd help you, and I meant it. A buddy of mine got them for me. He has a relative who works at Chepapp, and he used that connection to secure these documents."

Still unconvinced, Lin Kexin pressed on, "What about your disappearance at lunch? Were you off gathering these documents?"

With a hearty laugh, Lin Han replied, "You're quite perceptive. Indeed, I was meeting with my friend to have him consult his relative for these detailed documents."

Lin Kexin's skepticism lingered. She wondered, why hadn't he answered his phone when he was supposedly obtaining information from his friend?

"So why didn't you answer your phone?" she asked.

Lin Han explained, "I didn't ignore your calls. I left my phone at my friend's house. We had gone to Chepapp to meet his relative and collect the information. It was only afterward that I realized I'd left my phone there. By the time I retrieved it, I had missed your calls."

He was confident in his explanation, believing it to be foolproof.

Lin Kexin, though still harboring doubts about when Lin Han had acquired such a resourceful friend, considered that perhaps there was much about him she didn't know. Maybe he had always had such connections, and she was simply unaware.

After hearing his account, Lin Kexin chose not to challenge him further, her silence serving as a reluctant acceptance of his story.

She was engrossed in the documents before her.

This information had been incredibly helpful. Armed with such confidential data, Lin Kexin could craft a much more detailed proposal.

It's a given that any company would place greater trust in a project the more they understand it, as it allows them to identify and address any shortcomings.

As Lin Kexin reviewed the documents, her confidence grew steadily.

Unable to contain her gratitude, she looked up and said, "Thank you. I never expected you to secure such sensitive information for me."

"Why stand on ceremony between old married folks?" Lin Han quipped with a playful smile.

"Enough with that, our current task is to review the documents!" Lin Kexin retorted, though a sense of joy bubbled up within her.

Could it be that she was developing feelings for the unpredictable Lin Han?

She immediately dismissed the thought. It was out of the question. They were merely a couple by contract, and as soon as their agreed time was up, they would promptly head to the Civil Affairs Bureau for a divorce.

How could she possibly fall for Lin Han in such a short span of time?

Lin Han had noticed the shift in her behavior. Previously, any accidental touch would send Lin Kexin scurrying away. Now, there seemed to be a subtle change, a sign of a positive beginning.

"Alright, my princess, shall we head back and go through this at our leisure? It's cold and damp in this underground garage. Are you sure you want to keep poring over it here?"

Prompted by Lin Han's reminder, Lin Kexin realized she had been absorbed in the documents for quite some time.

He was right; why not return home and delve into the material in comfort?

"Okay, let's hurry back. I want to delve deeper into this information."

"Alright, home it is. I'll assist you with the research there."

Lin Han said as he opened the passenger door for Lin Kexin. She climbed in, and he drove away from the chilly confines of the basement.

Once home, Lin Kexin wasted no time in pulling out the documents again.

She was determined to make sense of the information today and to understand how to approach the proposal.

After all, she couldn't take these documents to Chepapp tomorrow. With so many of Lee Feng's people around, she couldn't be sure who was on his side. Therefore, she had to unravel everything at home tonight.

Lin Han noticed Kexin's earnest study of the document and began to help her analyze its most crucial parts. "Chepapp's most significant project this year is the tourism development. They've invested nearly all their capital in it. To secure the real estate outsourcing contract, we must grasp their vision for the project. Only then can we construct a house that meets their approval and secure the contract."

Kexin looked up at Lin Han, her opinion of him reaching new heights today. "You're absolutely right. So, the first thing we need to figure out is where they're focusing their tourism efforts. What are the unique features of these places?"

Lin Han nodded, then added, "Understanding the local characteristics isn't enough; we also need to know what sets Chepapp apart. By merging these insights, we can craft a proposal that truly satisfies them, which is essential for continuing our negotiations."

Kexin nodded in agreement. "You make a good point. However, the information you provided doesn't specify Chepapp's main features. Perhaps we should visit Chepapp in person. A thorough understanding is crucial to fully comprehend our counterpart. As the saying goes, 'Know your enemy and yourself, and you can fight a hundred battles without defeat.'"

Kexin shared her perspective, and Lin Han internally commended her. She truly had the skills to be the company's general manager. Lee Feng, on the other hand, could only claim the title thanks to his grandmother's influence, lacking any real competence.

Lin Han was determined to help Kexin secure the general manager position. In the future, even if Kexin's grandmother had more to say, it would be harder to argue, given that this time, it was all about merit. Besides, Lee Feng had more resources than Kexin. If Kexin could triumph over Lee Feng under these conditions, what could he or her grandmother possibly say? Lin Han was intent on silencing both of them this time.
