C9 Ms Loong Mr Dong Is Back

"What's happening here?" The onlookers, who had been eager for some entertainment, were confused by the unfolding events.

The arrival of Shan Hu set off a wave of cheers throughout the bar, with some patrons even fawning over him like dogs seeking favor. But Shan Hu paid them no mind.

"Xiao Hu, long time no see." Zhang Xiaodong took a drag on his cigarette, beaming at him.

"Mr. Dong, you've finally returned!"

With a resounding crash, Shan Hu broke down in tears and knelt before Zhang Xiaodong, right in front of everyone in the bar. His bear-like frame, even in submission, exuded an overwhelming presence.

"Mr. Hu, what's this all about?" Scar Man and the others stared, wide-eyed. They glanced from the kneeling Shan Hu to the grinning Zhang Xiaodong, puzzled by the turn of events.

"Damn it!" In a sudden fury, Shan Hu whirled around and delivered a palm strike to Scar Man's face. The force was so great it twisted Scar Man's mouth, sent a row of teeth flying, and knocked him to the ground with a thud. Blood spewed from his mouth as he lay there, limbs twitching weakly...

Silence fell.

A profound, absolute silence.

The shock was palpable.

Shan Hu, known as a raging bull, had unleashed a blow of extreme ferocity!

A single slap had sent Scar Man, a man of considerable size, crashing to the floor, unable to rise for a long while.

The attention of those present shifted from the bloodied Scar Man on the ground to Zhang Xiaodong.

The sight of an ordinary young man commanding such respect from Shan Hu, to the point of making him kneel, was beyond belief!

"You blind fool! You don't even recognize Mr. Dong. Take him outside, chop him up, and feed him to the dogs!" Shan Hu's voice was filled with rage as he barked the order.

"No! Please, no, Mr. Hu!" Scar Man, sprawled on the ground, could never have imagined that Mr. Hu, who had been like a brother to him for years, would order him to be chopped up and fed to dogs in front of a crowd. The very thought was inconceivable.

"Keeping you alive would only bring me trouble. Take him away and do as I said!" Shan Hu's low growl shook with anger. To think that this wretch had caused trouble for no one other than Zhang Xiaodong – it was a death wish.

"Why are you all just standing there? Want to end up feeding the dogs with him?" Shan Hu's voice boomed like that of a tiger, and with his thunderous shout, everyone present recoiled in fear, stepping back several paces.

"Mr. Hu! I was wrong, Mr. Hu! Please, I beg you to spare me!" Scar Man was in tears, finally grasping the gravity of his situation. He knelt on the ground, crawling like a dog to Zhang Xiaodong, clutching at his legs and desperately pleading for forgiveness.

In the past, Zhang Xiaodong would never have forgiven someone like him. But having just returned, the thought of chopping him up to feed to the dogs seemed a bit too harsh. Who knew if his family would seek revenge and cause trouble for those close to him?

"Huzi, let it go. Let him leave. I don't ever want to see this man again," Zhang Xiaodong said nonchalantly after sipping his wine.

"Mr. Dong... Thank you, Mr. Dong. Thank you so much!"

"Scram! And don't let me catch sight of you again!" Shan Hu kicked him to the ground.

Granted a reprieve, Scar Man scrambled away, rolling and tumbling on the ground until he disappeared from view.

"Mr. Dong, when did you get back? How come Hu Zi didn't know anything about it?" Shan Hu inquired cautiously.

He hardly dared to breathe too loudly, aware that the seemingly unremarkable young man before him was once a prodigy who had shaken the entire Zhonghai City.

Shan Hu had been less than a dog in Zhang Xiaodong's presence, having only met him a few times. Even Shan Hu's own boss had to speak humbly before Zhang Xiaodong.

And now, he had returned.

The prodigy was back, and Zhonghai City was sure to be anything but calm.

Zhang Xiaodong just smiled, choosing not to answer the question. His return was none of Shan Hu's concern.

"Alright, can I take her with me now?" Zhang Xiaodong asked with a smile, not mentioning the debt his aunt owed. Given their current relationship with his aunt, they probably wouldn't dare cross her again.

"Mr. Dong, would you like me to arrange a car for you?" Shan Hu offered attentively.

"Forget it, I don't like trouble," Zhang Xiaodong said, shaking his head as he walked out of the bar with the woman in his arms, in full view of everyone.

After they left the bar, Shan Hu's brow furrowed, his expression darkening. He ordered several shots of strong liquor at the bar before pulling out his phone to dial an unfamiliar number.

A languid female voice answered Shan Hu's call, but he remained silent for quite some time.

"Huzi, what's the matter? Are you in some kind of trouble?" The woman's voice was soft and playful, with a hint of mischief.

"Ms. Loong, he... he's back!" Shan Hu said, his voice quivering.

"Who?" The woman's tone turned sharp.

"Zhang, Zhang Xiaodong. Mr. Dong is back!"

Silence lingered on the line.

In a brightly lit seaside villa in Zhonghai City, a woman with long black hair lounged on the sofa. At the mention of Zhang Xiaodong, she dropped her wine bottle, shattering it on the floor.

"Ms. Loong, are you alright?" Shan Hu's voice came through the phone, tinged with anxiety.

"Alright. I understand," the woman replied, her voice suddenly icy. After hanging up, she sat in a daze for a long moment.

"Damn you, Zhang Xiaodong, you've finally decided to come back!" she muttered under her breath, her soft gaze turning piercingly sharp.

Zhang Xiaodong had intended to take the woman home after leaving the bar, but realizing she was too drunk to wake, he deemed it inappropriate to take her back to her place. Instead, he opted to support her to a nearby hotel.

The hotel receptionist's eyes widened in surprise as she saw Zhang Xiaodong with the stunning woman, her mouth forming a perfect 'O'.

"Come on, I need a room," Zhang Xiaodong said with a smile, producing his ID from his pocket.

"And this lady is...?" the receptionist inquired.

"She's my wife," he replied with a slight smile, tightening his grip on the woman.

"What kind of room would you like?"

"What options do you have?" Zhang Xiaodong asked.

With the room key in hand, he wrapped his arm around the woman, a wry smile crossing his face as he thought, "Lucky for you, you ran into me. If it had been anyone else, well, you wouldn't have been so lucky."

However, as Zhang Xiaodong was carrying the woman into the room, she abruptly opened her eyes and tightly wrapped her arms around his neck, planting a direct kiss on his lips with her soft ones.

Zhang Xiaodong had intended to simply open the room and then leave, considering the woman was intoxicated. Taking advantage of her in such a state would be utterly dishonorable.
