C15 Lo Ding Was Rejected!

Lo Ding was well aware that Lo Chen had advanced to the Qi Condensation Stage, so he certainly wouldn't be so foolish as to provoke him alone.

"Right, big bro!"

Lo Hao: Thank you!

Regardless of what was going through Lo Hao's mind, Lo Ding had made it to Lo Hao's doorstep.

*Knock, knock.*

The rhythm of Lo Hao's knocking was precise, clearly a result of the Lo family's strict discipline.

"Who's there?"

Inside, Lo Hao furrowed his brow slightly, a trace of confusion flickering in his eyes.

"Big bro, it's me."

Recognizing Lo Ding's voice, Lo Hao didn't hesitate to swiftly conceal everything in the room.

Once he finished, he scanned the room one more time before nodding in satisfaction.

"Big bro, please open the door."

Growing impatient, Lo Ding knocked on the door once more.

Lo Hao glanced around the room, nodded, and stepped outside.

"Coming, coming."

After speaking, Lo Hao cheerfully opened the door, his grin causing Lo Ding's heart to skip a beat.

"Big... Big bro, why are you looking at me like that?"

Lo Hao chuckled and shook his head, then replied, "Nothing's wrong, nothing at all."

He then gave Lo Ding a thorough once-over.

"Little bro, what brings you here?"

Lo Ding cast a sullen glance at Lo Hao and began, "Big bro, I..."

But before he could finish, Lo Hao raised his hand and interrupted, "Hold on, don't speak just yet. Did you come to borrow money?"

A look of exasperation crossed Lo Ding's face as he met his older brother's gaze.

"No, of course not."

Lo Hao breathed a sigh of relief and said, "Well, that's a relief. Come on in."

His expression was somewhat insincere, but Lo Ding, having come to Lo Hao for a favor, managed to keep his cool.

With a hearty smile, he gestured and said, "Big bro, I won't lie, I do have a matter to discuss with you."

At these words, Lo Hao's expression momentarily stiffened.

He stopped inviting Lo Ding inside and gave him a serious look.

"Little bro, if you've got something to say, just spit it out. I'm swamped lately and might not have the time to sit down with you, so go ahead and tell me."

Upon hearing the remark, Lo Ding was momentarily at a loss for words.

"Seriously? You admit you're too busy, yet you expect me to speak up. What good would my words do?"

Taking a deep breath, Lo Ding managed a smile and addressed his sibling, "Second brother, that Lo Chen who's been around lately is really quite..."

He was cut off as Lo Hao raised his hand.

"No need to go on. I get your point."

With that, Lo Ding noticed a shift in Lo Hao's demeanor.

"Fourth brother, I don't mean to criticize, but we and Mr. Chen are all one family."

Finishing his thought, Lo Hao, with a grimace, gave Lo Ding's shoulder a pat.

"Fourth brother, fighting within the family is just giving outsiders a reason to laugh at us!"

At these words, Lo Ding was stunned.

He had assumed his second brother would support his viewpoint and lend a hand.

Who could have imagined his second brother would speak such words!

"Second brother, you...!"

Lo Hao's expression turned stern as he saw Lo Ding about to reproach him.

"Be quiet!"

Lo Ding's face soured at the rebuke, not expecting Lo Hao to chastise him so sharply.

"Second brother, you...!"

"Hmph!"

With a grunt, Lo Hao's eyes flashed with anger. "Don't call me second brother. Go home and think it over!"

With that, Lo Hao pushed Lo Ding out the door, leaving him with no option but to leave.

"Damn!"

Lo Ding cast a final glance at the firmly closed door, feeling a surge of anger.

Yet, he was well aware that he was no match for his second brother, Lo Hao.

Resigned, Lo Ding turned and walked away from Lo Hao's doorstep.

Unbeknownst to him, Lo Hao, leaning against the door inside, spoke with a sense of resignation, "Fourth brother, fourth brother, I just don't know what to say to you."

Truth be told, Lo Hao didn't dislike Lo Chen. In other words, Lo Ding was after Lo Chen's Holy Bone!

And the others?

Well, no matter how much attention Lo Chen attracted, in a world where strength is everything, who would want to remain in such a small city?

When the time comes, who would even care about being the head of the Lo family?

Lo Ding was feeling quite troubled. With his second brother refusing to help, whom could he turn to for assistance?

The more he thought about it, the more agitated he became.

"Someone attend to me!"

As soon as he uttered these words, the maids' expressions shifted. Who wasn't aware of Lo Ding's volatile temper?

They all silently prayed that they wouldn't be the ones chosen.

"Humph!"

A muffled grunt, like a clap of thunder, made Lo Ding explode with shock, breaking into a cold sweat as he turned toward the source of the sound.

"Father... Father."

Lo Wushuang had intended to check if Lo Ding was diligently practicing his cultivation, but to his dismay, he found his son, this defiant child, demanding the attendance of a maid in the middle of the day!

Such a request at this hour was a clear sign of desperation.

"Don't call me father, I refuse to acknowledge a rebellious son like you!"

With that, Lo Wushuang grunted and stormed off.

"You incompetents, why didn't you inform me that father was here!"

Upon hearing Lo Ding's rebuke, the guards merely bowed their heads, offering no response.

It was laughable to think anyone would dare intercept the head of the Lo family. No one would even dare lay a finger on him, let alone block his path.

And who would have guessed that Lo Ding would be so desperate to indulge in such activities in broad daylight?

"Humph!"

Seeing no one would speak up, Lo Ding grabbed a maid, intending to get close.

Unexpectedly, Lo Wushuang returned, and upon witnessing Lo Ding's licentious behavior, his face darkened even more.

"Rebellious child, are you trying to infuriate me to death?"

Lo Ding hung his head, suddenly losing all previous inclinations.

"I was considering rewarding you, but it seems unnecessary now!"

At this, Lo Ding's eyes widened, staring at Lo Wushuang with a look of resentment.

"What? You expect a reward looking like that?"

Without giving Lo Ding a chance to explain, Lo Wushuang turned on his heel and walked away, leaving his son behind.

Lo Ding was left with nothing but a retreating figure to look at, his gaze falling upon the surrounding maids with a tinge of anger. He then barked a cold command, "Scram! All of you, get out!"

At his words, the maids didn't dare linger. With heads bowed, they quickly exited the room.

"Why? Why must everyone oppose me!"

All Lo Ding wanted was to extract Lo Chen's sacred bone, but who could have anticipated...!
