C22 His Girlfriend Revealed Her Cards

"Here you go, boss, 35 yuan." Yin Tian was inwardly thrilled, yet he managed to keep a poker face.

"Okay."

The boss gave a nod of acknowledgment upon hearing the "Payment received: 35 yuan" notification from his phone.

Yin Tian quickly whisked Ning Shang away.

Before departing, Yin Tian cast another glance at the shop owner's peculiar table.

"A table that contains a universe."

"Price: 10.01 million yuan."

Clearly, after the shop owner presented the 15 million yuan Su Guan He Ding, the table's price plummeted by 15 million.

The 10 million was for the shop owner's Southern Song Dynasty Guan kiln begonia-style pot, and the odd 10 thousand was likely the table's actual cost.

The shop owner seemed to have a knack for business.

After crafting a batch of antique replicas, he would sell them honestly while also duping others into believing they were genuine.

If Hou Junxiong realized that what he paid 3 million for, Yin Tian snagged for just 20 yuan, he'd probably be livid.

And the shop owner, after all the effort of hiring an actor and risking criminal charges to make 3 million, ended up handing over a flower worth 15 million to Yin Tian, mistaking it for a common orchid...

Once out of the Antique Market, Yin Tian scooped up Ning Shang, spinning her around in the air several times.

"Ning, I'm head over heels for you!"

"Hey, hey, what are you doing?"

Ning Shang glanced around bashfully, and as expected, they drew many curious looks. "Everyone's watching."

"I don't mind." Yin Tian held her close. "Do you realize how much the flower you bought is worth?"

"How much?"

Yin Tian's mysterious smile piqued Ning Shang's interest, and he gestured to his cheek.

Remembering her promise from the day before, Ning Shang couldn't back out now. She pecked Yin Tian's cheek with a light, quick kiss.

She then gave the smug Yin Tian a playful punch on the chest.

"Come on, how much is it? Stop teasing me."

"Lean in and I'll whisper it," he said.

Ning Shang leaned in close, listening intently.

"The flower itself isn't valuable, but that young plant beside it is the real treasure. Once it matures, it could fetch fifteen million."

After listening to Yin Tian, Ning Shang picked up her flower to examine it more closely and noticed, for the first time, a sapling that had just sprouted beside the thriving orchid.

"Is it really worth fifteen million?"

Ning Shang was puzzled.

Yin Tian proceeded to explain the sapling's value to Ning Shang, drawing on the information he had gathered online.

Once Yin Tian finished his explanation, Ning Shang gave the sapling several intrigued glances, her eyes sparkling with curiosity.

Indeed, Ning Shang was the daughter of Carrimon's wealthiest man, but her interest in flora was minimal.

She had only thought to buy one on a whim for amusement and was naturally unaware of the market's intricacies.

Could a single flower sell for fifteen million?

Despite a net worth of twenty billion, Ning Shang was grounded and understood the significance of fifteen million.

Having experienced the challenges of making money firsthand at her family's subsidiary, the idea that she had casually chosen a flower worth many times more than what she had earned over the years struck her as somewhat ludicrous.

"What's the matter? Aren't you happy about the fifteen million?"

Yin Tian sensed Ning Shang's inner defeat and immediately sought to reassure her.

"No, not at all," Ning Shang quickly dismissed, waving her hands. "However, you paid for this flower, so it rightfully belongs to you."

"Why make distinctions between yours and mine?" Yin Tian feigned annoyance. "You mean far more to me than fifteen million!"

Ning Shang's heart melted at his words, sweet as honey.

"Still, how did you know this flower was so valuable?"

Ning Shang's confusion was justified; Yin Tian had never before revealed any expertise in this domain.

Of course, Yin Tian couldn't admit it was thanks to his unique vision.

"There's still so much for you to learn about me!" he said with a light tap on Ning Shang's forehead.

Ning Shang didn't dwell on it, assuming Yin Tian had simply done his homework on the subject.

"But how should I care for this flower?"

Ning Shang was stumped.

If Yin Tian decided to take it on, surely he'd manage to keep it alive.

The data in his eyes revealed what the flower was missing in terms of nutrients. While he didn't explicitly instruct her on its care, she figured that with proper nutrition, it should thrive.

Yet, Yin Tian had no interest in spending his time on plants.

"Why not take it with you?" he offered.

"I've never cared for one..." Ning Shang wavered, "What if it dies under my care?"

"If it dies, it dies," Yin Tian replied nonchalantly.

"Wouldn't you be upset if I killed a 15 million yuan plant?" Ning Shang ventured.

Yin Tian glanced at Ning Shang's true feelings and saw they matched her words.

"Haven't I already said it? You mean more to me than 15 million yuan!"

The idea was ludicrous. With two billion yuan at stake, he wasn't about to lose out over something so trivial.

"Yin Tian seems to not care much about money..." Ning Shang's inner voice reflected.

His words sparked a glimmer in Ning Shang's eyes; she saw an excellent opportunity.

A perfect chance to reveal her family's wealth to Yin Tian.

"I could take it home to care for it. We have an experienced gardener," she hinted once more.

Yin Tian remained unaffected.

Ning Shang's heart swelled with joy.

With the moment and mood set, she no longer hesitated.

She wriggled free from Yin Tian's embrace, stood confidently before him, and declared:

"Yin Tian, I'm done hiding. I'm laying my cards on the table—my father is Ning Tianhao."
