C5 Hacker
In the executive meeting room of Comoxize, all the executives were gathered for an emergency meeting called by the general manager, Gaoyuan, just ten minutes prior.
"I'm sure you're all aware of the situation," Gaoyuan stated from the center of the room. "Comoxize was hit by a cyberattack ten minutes ago, and in that short time, we've already suffered losses in the millions."
Although Gaoyuan oversaw Comoxize's operations in Zruhpus, his actual influence was limited. In fact, there were over two hundred managers like Gaoyuan throughout Huaxia.
"Where's the tech team?" demanded one of the executives, visibly upset.
The head of the technical department, who had been sitting quietly in the corner, stood up and addressed the room, "Liu Wangxiao, I apologize. Our team has been trying to fend off the attack, but the hackers' skills are beyond us."
Meanwhile, Zhang Luo was at his computer, drenched in sweat and bewildered by the events unfolding. He hastily left the building, hailed a taxi, and headed straight for Comoxize.
Upon reaching the entrance of Comoxize, Yang Yuan had just arrived from her office. She saw Zhang Luo and immediately assumed he was there to cause trouble. Shortly after, a BMW pulled up, and out stepped Lin Kai.
Zhang Luo watched as Lin Kai escorted Yang Yuan into the building, feeling a mix of emotions. He wanted to follow, but the security guards barred his entry.
"Liu Wangxiao, it's been a while!" greeted Lin Kai as he arrived just after the meeting concluded.
"Mr. Lin, what brings you to Comoxize today?" inquired Liu Wangxiao.
"I need a favor, Liu Wangxiao. If you can help me out, I'll take care of your expenses at the club for a month," Lin Kai proposed quietly.
"Mr. Lin, remember what that girl said last time? She claimed you couldn't hold a candle to me. Hahaha..." Liu Wangxiao joked, eliciting a blush from Yang Yuan, who was standing nearby.
"Liu Wangxiao, about the City West Heart of Zruhpus project, we're looking to partner with a construction company, right? I have a friend who's a director at Exbought, and he's very interested in collaborating with Comoxize."
Lin Kai pointed at Yang Yuan and said, "During the meeting, Gao Yuan made it clear that we're to hold off on all projects for now. He insists on personally overseeing any ongoing ones."
Liu Wangxiao didn't want to slip up at such a crucial time. "Please go back, Liu Ting. The company has had an incident. Let's wait for things to settle down before we resume discussions."
"Brother Liu, can't you handle this as the director?" Lin Kai interjected.
"I've already said no!" Liu Wangxiao replied, visibly irritated.
It was the first time Lin Kai had seen Liu Wangxiao lose his temper. Yang Yuan tugged at Lin Kai's sleeve, and together they left the scene.
As Mr. Lin of the Chawam Group, it wouldn't look good if he caused a stir with the Comoxize Group. The Chawam Group would have difficulty defending such actions.
Lin Kai and Yang Yuan emerged from the building, looking dejected. Zhang Luo, noticing their expressions, knew immediately that they hadn't succeeded.
Snatching the contract, Zhang Luo taunted, "What are you trying to do, you failure?"
Lin Kai yelled back, "If you can't handle it, it's time for my husband to step in."
Zhang Luo confidently headed towards the building.
"Just you wait, you'll be thrown out on your ear," Lin Kai called after him.
Yang Yuan watched as the two disappeared into the Comoxize Building.
Earlier, at the entrance, Zhang Luo overheard two employees discussing how the entire Comoxize network was down, leaving even the tech department helpless.
Realizing his morning computer antics had caused the Comoxize network outage, Zhang Luo boldly grabbed the contract, determined to fix the issue himself, and headed upstairs.
"Good day, sir. May I ask whom you're looking for?" inquired the receptionist.
"Your boss. I'd like to discuss a potential collaboration," Zhang Luo replied.
"May I have your name, sir? Do you have an appointment?" she asked.
"No, but tell your boss I can help him make millions in ten minutes," Zhang Luo boasted.
"Just one moment, please."
The receptionist, convinced by Zhang Luo's claim, called Gao Yuan. To her surprise, Gao Yuan responded with a tirade, incredulous that anyone would let such a madman in.
Just as the woman was about to end the call and summon security, Gao Yuan burst out of his office.
Gao Yuan had just hung up when he realized that within ten minutes of Comoxize's website being hacked, the stock had taken a nosedive. In that brief period, the financial loss amounted to several million.
He noticed Zhang Luo, looking unpretentious in his casual attire.
"Are you Mr. Zhang?"
Zhang Luo glanced at Gao Yuan and gave a silent nod. Gao Yuan quickly ushered him to the technical department. "Mr. Gao, you seem a bit too anxious."
Zhang Luo remarked, "I believe we still have some terms to discuss!"
Gao Yuan slapped his forehead, "Absolutely, absolutely, my oversight. Please, this way, Mr. Zhang."
Gao Yuan led Zhang Luo to the reception room. "Mr. Zhang, please don't hesitate to make any requests."
Zhang Luo slid the contract he was holding across to Gao Yuan: "Let's start by signing this."
"Mr. Zhang, I'm not yet sure if you can resolve the issue. Isn't it a bit premature to sign a contract with you now?"
Despite his urgency, Gao Yuan's mind was still clear.
"I need a computer on the internal network."
Zhang Luo pushed aside the tea in front of him. Gao Yuan handed him a laptop, and Zhang Luo smiled. It had taken him only half an hour to breach the external network; the internal network would surely be even easier.
Zhang Luo's fingers flew over the keyboard. Gao Yuan couldn't help but suspect that Zhang Luo was a fraud. After all, the technical department staff, highly paid experts recruited from abroad, hadn't managed to fix the issue. How could this average-looking man succeed?
In just three minutes, Zhang Luo pushed the computer aside and declared, "Done!"
Gao Yuan chuckled, seeing no apparent changes. How could this man be so bold in his claims?
Shortly after, the technical department director entered. "Mr. Gao, our losses have drastically reduced. We're now down to losing hundreds of thousands per hour."
In a mere three minutes, the man before Gao Yuan had resolved most of a problem that had stumped the technical department all morning.
"Good, I've got it. Keep up the defense," Gao Yuan instructed, waving dismissively at the technical department director.
As the man departed, Zhang Luo inquired, "Gao Yuan, are we ready to sign the contract?"
Gao Yuan glanced at the Exbought contract with a sense of resignation and shook his head. He could have opted for a bidding process this time, which would have meant a larger profit and the chance to collaborate with a renowned construction firm.
With Comoxize facing losses in the millions and on the brink of bankruptcy in less than a month, Gao Yuan found his lifeline in the contract before him and reluctantly seized it.
After finalizing the contract, Gao Yuan addressed Mr. Zhang, "Let's get our company back on track."
Zhang Luo shook his head, "That won't do."
Gao Yuan, frustrated, slammed his hand on the table and stood up, "What more do you want? The contract is signed. If I had any other choice, I certainly wouldn't have partnered with Exbought."
"Come now, Gao Yuan, there's no need for such a temper," Zhang Luo chided. "I have three more conditions. Agree to them, and I'll restore your internet."
"What conditions?" Gao Yuan asked, taking a seat and adopting a more composed demeanor.
"What's your percentage with Exbought?" Zhang Luo probed.
"Four percent."
"That's too low. Make it seven percent and let's sign the contract again," Zhang Luo insisted.
"You're dreaming! That's the maximum profit margin. I can't possibly give any more..." Gao Yuan began to protest.
Zhang Luo cut him off, "Keep in mind, I can help you recover millions within ten minutes, or you could lose even more. Please consider this carefully."
After some thought, Gao Yuan summoned his secretary to draft a new contract. Once completed, he signed it and handed it over to Zhang Luo.
"My second condition is that we only work with Manager Yang Yuan from Exbought," Zhang Luo stated.
"Fine, I agree!" Gao Yuan responded promptly, finding the term straightforward.
"For my third condition, when I need you, you'll have to do a favor for me. It's quite simple; just follow my instructions. When the time comes, I'll tell you what to do. You won't incur any losses, only gain more strength."
Zhang Luo smiled.
Gao Yuan observed Zhang Luo before him, recognizing that his determination could achieve many incredible feats. Strengthening Comoxize could only be a good thing.
"Alright, I agree," Gao Yuan declared.
Zhang Luo produced his phone, which had been recording, and held it up for Gao Yuan to see.
"A gentleman's agreement is binding," Zhang Luo stated. "I trust you'll honor it." With that, he stood up, ready to depart.
"Wait, Mr. Zhang..."
Gao Yuan, watching Zhang Luo about to walk away, gestured towards the computer.
Zhang Luo positioned the computer squarely in front of Gao Yuan and pressed the enter key. Instantly, all the data on the Comoxize network was restored to normal.
With a smile, Zhang Luo turned and walked away, leaving Gao Yuan fuming and pounding the desk in frustration.
