Memories surged into Ke Dong's mind, granting him a profound insight into his own body. With his heartbeat and breathing as guides, he could discern his current condition.

Simultaneously, Ke Dong's miscellaneous knowledge tab within the cultivation interface updated, reflecting his new status as an Alchemy Apprentice.

Beyond these newfound memories, Ke Dong discovered several pill formulas on the cultivation interface: the Marrow Cleansing Pill, Spirit Gathering Pill, Blood Activating Pill, Essence Recovery Pill, and Concentration Pill.

The benefits of the Marrow Cleansing Pill and Spirit Gathering Pill were well-known. The Blood Activating Pill aided in healing various injuries, the Essence Recovery Pill supported the restoration of spiritual qi, and the Concentration Pill had multiple uses. It could restore calm, dispel illusions, and more. Taking a Concentration Pill before cultivation could significantly steady the mind and boost efficiency.

Any of these five pills would be highly coveted, but without the necessary herbs, Ke Dong could not craft them. He had to set aside the desire to do so for now.

Despite the current inability to refine these pills, Ke Dong was quite content with what he had found in the room, not overlooking even the stone shards tucked away in the corner.

To the average person, these shards would be unremarkable, but for Ke Dong, they were potential hidden weapons, nearly impossible to defend against.

After a brief tidy-up, it was time for another decision.

Following his routine, Ke Dong chose the door directly ahead.

He pushed the door open, the Coldsteel Sword held horizontally across his chest, his left hand gripping a sharp stone shard. He entered cautiously, on high alert, but the room was still.

In the center stood a stone table, upon which rested a square, seemingly heavy stone.

Filled with curiosity, Ke Dong approached the stone table and scrutinized the perfectly square stone before him.

From his experience, items found on the stone table were usually of high quality, giving him good reason to suspect that this stone concealed something valuable.

He placed his hand on the stone, stowed it in his backpack, and promptly read the description: A sturdy stone, which appeared to contain some hidden treasure.

Just as he thought!

Ke Dong retrieved the stone and, wielding his Coldsteel Sword, he struck it with force, cleaving the stone in two. To his surprise, the interior was hollow, and from within, a yellowish bead tumbled out.

The sight of the bead made Ke Dong's eyes sparkle. Aside from its color, which differed from the bead Wang Chun had shown, it bore a striking resemblance in all other aspects!

He picked up the bead, placed it in his backpack, and a message appeared: The Spirit Pearl of the Indestructible Dharmakaya. Upon activation, one could acquire the Indestructible Dharmakaya technique and instantly advance to the First Layer.

This revelation helped Ke Dong understand how Chen Qiang, with no martial arts background, managed to effortlessly fend off Soong Wan's strikes after activating the Iron Shirt Spirit Bead. The Spirit Bead worked by infusing the body, ensuring immediate results regardless of one's prior training.

Given that the Iron Shirt, an external martial arts skill, paled in comparison to a cultivation technique, activating the Spirit Bead could grant Chen Qiang a deep mastery of Iron Shirt in a short span, even surpassing Soong Wan's two decades of arduous training. This explained the outcome they had witnessed.

In essence, with enough luck, even an ordinary person could defy the odds within the labyrinth.

While the typical method of activating a spirit pearl required an individual to claim ownership by blood, Ke Dong needed no such ritual. By simply channeling a thread of Spiritual Qi within him, he could claim mastery and gain the Immortal Spiritual God.

Without a moment's doubt, he activated the spirit pearl. A terracotta glow enveloped Ke Dong, and he felt a surge of strength bolster his body once more. He hadn't transformed into a mass of muscles, but he could sense an immense power coursing through him.

At that very moment, the section of the secret manual changed as well. The Immortal Body Technique, First Layer (0/200).

Ke Dong carefully tuned into the changes the Immortal Body Technique had wrought. He pulled out a sharp stone shard and slashed it across his left arm with force. To his surprise, aside from a bit of pain, there was no injury whatsoever!

For the average person, such a sharp stone would easily inflict harm, potentially even fatal if it struck a critical area. Yet, it couldn't even scratch Ke Dong now. The Immortal Body Technique certainly didn't disappoint in its reputation!

As for testing it with the Coldsteel Sword, Ke Dong thought better of it. Aware of the sword's formidable power, he wasn't about to gamble with it.

Collecting his thoughts, Ke Dong pressed on, once more pushing the door ahead of him to reveal a sea of green.

The room, ten meters square, was a lush expanse of grass with a vine as tall as a man at its center.

The vine exuded an oppressive aura, and Ke Dong could almost swear it was sentient.

His suspicions seemed to be confirmed when the vine suddenly came to life, lashing out at him.

Ke Dong was taken aback. Though he was a cultivator, the idea of a Vine Demon was hard to swallow; common sense dictated that plants didn't just move on their own.

Shock aside, Ke Dong instinctively dodged the vine's strike.

The vine, undeterred by its miss, launched two more tendrils at Ke Dong with no pause.

Ke Dong, with an eagle eye, spotted the thick thorns covering the tendrils. A hit from those would strip skin, if not worse, prompting him to dodge frantically.

But the room's limited space, a mere ten meters square, meant he couldn't dodge forever. He needed to find an opening to strike back.

As the vine attacked again, Ke Dong swung his Coldsteel Sword in a swift motion, severing the tendril. He then rolled close to the vine and, with another swing of his sword, chopped it down completely!

Even with the vine cut down, Ke Dong remained on high alert. He could feel the whoosh of air as the remaining tendrils, propelled by their own inertia, threatened to hit him. With no room left to dodge, Ke Dong's only hope was that the newly acquired Immortal Body Technique would shield him from this impending blow.

With a couple of sharp snaps, two vines struck Ke Dong's back, sending acute pain shooting through him. Ke Dong couldn't suppress a stifled grunt, but almost instantly, the spiritual energy within him began to flow on its own, transforming into a soothing chill that eased the sting of his wounds.

Was this the formidable strength of the Immortal Body?

Impressive, indeed!

Only after the Immortal Body had fully mitigated the pain did Ke Dong rise and stretch. Though there was still a slight discomfort with movement, it was a vast improvement.

Inspecting the vines that had struck him, he noticed they were indeed stained with blood, but fortunately, there was no flesh torn—clearly, the Immortal Body had done its job, or his injuries would have been much worse.

As he placed his hand on the cut vines, the prompt appeared again: Would you like to collect them?

Yes!

Ke Dong's hands, seemingly with a mind of their own, began to rapidly segment the vines, his speed so swift it left him feeling disoriented.

Minutes later, the collection was complete, and his backpack now contained fresh items:

Vines x2: Durable with barbs, suitable for use as a whip, possessing a degree of lethality.

Vine Stem: Robust, infused with vitality, and of certain medicinal value.

Vine Leaves x9: Full of vitality and medicinal potential.

Ke Dong gave the items only a cursory look before shifting his attention away; for the time being, they held no value to him.

Having dealt with the vines, Ke Dong decided to conduct a thorough search of the room. It was, after all, a grassy area that might conceal some hidden treasures.

Yet, after scouring the room, he found nothing but wild grass. Just as he was about to abandon his search, a new message caught his eye: This place is rich in spiritual energy, teeming with life, and ideal for cultivation.

Ideal for cultivation!

A spark of excitement flashed in Ke Dong's eyes.
