C1 The Prelude

Protective Zone 64 was a small town of several square kilometers. It was located in an endless wasteland. In the northwestern direction of the wasteland, there was a continuous mountain range. In the east, there was a dark forest mixed with all kinds of tall trees.

It was an autumn rainy season, and the story started in a mysterious cave in the mountains.

It was hard to say when the teenager floating in the liquid suddenly opened his eyes. He instinctively struggled and splashed water, surrounded by smooth glass walls. It took him a lot of effort to grab onto the edge of the container and crawl out of it.

His whole body was wet. He crawled out of the container that looked like a jar and knelt on the ground. He coughed hard, trying to spit out the salty liquid in his throat. There was also a lot of bright, green liquid in the container.

The dark space was very quiet, except for the sound of the young man coughing.

After he cleared his throat, he laid on the ground with a painful expression and took a deep breath, as if he was a newborn baby who had never breathed before!

Ever since he started breathing, there was a commotion in his mind. Various pictures, sounds, formulas, and images kept flashing in his mind, as if there was a program that was instilling all kinds of knowledge into his mind.

However, this crazy instillation caused his brain to be in extreme pain. It was as if there were a few sharp claws tearing at it.

He held his head in pain, curled up on the ground, and clenched his teeth to twitch.

In the room he was in, there were several machines that emitted a faint cold light. This cold light covered the young boy's thin and weak body, making him look even more lonely and pitiful. Moreover, the young boy didn't even have a single piece of clothing on him.

"Where is this? Who the hell am I?" The boy kept asking himself.

But he couldn't think of his own name. He couldn't think of how he came to this world.

After a long while, the youth seemed to have felt a little more comfortable. He stood up with difficulty. Slowly, he walked out of the room and struggled to open a door. In the eyes of a normal person, there was endless darkness outside the door!

However, in the eyes of the young man, there was a passage.

The young man's eyes were more than twice as large, and his black pupils almost occupied the entire eyeball. With such a large pupil, it was even more beneficial for his eyes to gather light. After that, he could vaguely see the pathway in front of him. He randomly chose a direction, and a wet youth staggered over.

He didn't like this dark world because it made him feel very lonely. It was as if he was the only person left in the world.

He wanted to get out of here as soon as possible, and he didn't want to stay here for another minute.

The young man slowly walked along the passage. After a long time, he suddenly saw a light. With a light, it meant that this passage had an exit.

The youth immediately started to run with joy. He discovered that his running speed was extremely fast, as fast as a leopard hunting for food.

When he arrived at the entrance of the tunnel, the youth held onto the wall of the tunnel and panted heavily. He silently looked at the outside world, but the current world was no longer as prosperous and beautiful as in his mind. There was no beautiful city or crowded crowd at all, nor were there any beautiful neon lights.

Looking around, the entire world was filled with a dark sky and endless wasteland. There was also a light drizzle.

The whole world seemed to be dead. There was not a trace of life.

The youth frowned and left the cave, walking into the rain.
