C11 Exorcism Method

Yang Xiu decided not to waste any more time. "Forget it, I'll just hand it over to you now." With a swift gesture, he passed the scroll he had casually created to Lee Qingyuan.

Lee Qingyuan was seething with rage, on the verge of lashing out, when suddenly Yang Xiu vanished from sight.

"What are we going to do? We can't just let someone steal our Yin Meridian," Wang Cheng lamented, his face etched with distress.

Lee Qingyuan's gaze hardened. "We must return to our sect immediately and inform the Master. We cannot let him get away with this. To think he had the audacity to offer us the Ghost Controlling Technique—it's a blatant insult to Mao Mountain."

No sooner had he spoken than he sped off towards Mao Mountain, inadvertently dropping the scroll in the vast forest below.

Meanwhile, Yang Xiu was delving deeper into Death City, where the Night Demon's eyes glowed a fierce red. Its once gaunt frame now showed signs of swelling, with a thin membrane forming between its skin and bones. Though subtle, the creature's power had significantly increased.

After reclaiming the Night Demon, Yang Xiu disappeared in a flash, eager to leave the ominous place. His prolonged presence there, given his abilities, was nothing short of astonishing.

As Yang Xiu emerged from Ghost City, he was confronted by an elderly man with white hair and a youthful complexion. "My young friend, you possess remarkable skills to have exited Death City unscathed with such modest cultivation."

"Do you need something?" Yang Xiu asked, his face devoid of emotion, signaling his reluctance to engage in conversation. He mentally prepared himself, suspecting the man's strength might rival that of a Blood Master.

"This is Mao Mountain territory. You brazenly took a hundred strands of Yin Meridian; did you assume Mao Mountain was undefended?" The old man's previously benign expression turned icy.

"I've already presented the Exorcism Method to a disciple of your sect in exchange," Yang Xiu replied, standing his ground with a confidence that demanded respect.

"Hmm? How exceptional can your Exorcism Method be to warrant comparison with our sect's Yin Meridian?" The old man's demeanor settled into a calm, his murky eyes betraying no hint of emotion.

"My Exorcism Method will ensure Mao Mountain thrives for a century. It's more than sufficient, especially when compared to the Yin Meridian," Yang Xiu confidently stated, not boasting but rather stating a fact. His method was significantly superior to the local techniques.

The elder with a youthful face and white hair didn't trouble Yang Xiu. Somehow, he found himself more inclined to trust Yang Xiu's words.

Just then, Lee Qingyuan, accompanied by his master Lin Yi, arrived in haste. Without hesitation, Lin Yi launched an attack, aiming to take Yang Xiu's life.

Reacting swiftly, Yang Xiu unleashed a Demon. With a swift movement, the formidable Demon, akin to a Ghost General, erupted with immense combat power, successfully fending off Lin Yi's enraged strike. The Demon stood menacingly before Yang Xiu.

Both Lin Yi and the elder were taken aback. What level of power was this? To be able to nurture such a spirit and command it with such ease was astounding.

"Has the Mao Mountain Sect reviewed the Exorcism Method I provided?" Yang Xiu inquired, holding his ground.

Lee Qingyuan's face tensed, and he retorted with anger, "Master, what good is an Exorcism Method from a petty thief? We should prioritize reclaiming the Yin Meridian."

Lin Yi's anger was palpable. The Mao Mountain Sect had remained unchallenged for years, and never before had anyone dared to steal from them, let alone something as vital as the Yin Meridian.

The white-haired elder squinted his cloudy eyes, attempting to gauge the full extent of Yang Xiu's capabilities.

Exchanging glances with the elder, Lin Yi unleashed the full might of a Blood Master, his aura enveloping him in a swarm of spirits.

Unfazed, Yang Xiu's expression carried a mocking edge. He deftly manipulated Seal Spells, controlling the ghosts and absorbing them entirely, his physical form appearing to grow stronger.

In a surge of fury, Lin Yi aimed a palm strike at Yang Xiu's critical points. Yang Xiu's Star Power burst forth, radiating like divine light, and in that brief moment, he evaded the attack.

The elder with the youthful visage suddenly spoke up, "Lin Yi, return."

As the white-haired elder's voice faded, Lin Yi swiftly retreated to stand by Lee Qingyuan's side.

Realizing he was outmatched, Yang Xiu didn't linger. He concealed his ghostly companion and vanished into the depths of Ghost City. Lin Yi's recent defensive strike had nearly exhausted him, and he couldn't afford to be left in such a vulnerable state.

Lin Yi clenched his fist and turned to his companion, "Qingyuan, show me that scroll."

Lee Qingyuan's cheeks flushed with embarrassment. "Uh, I somehow managed to lose the scroll," he confessed, lowering his head like someone caught in a guilty act.

Lin Yi's brow furrowed, his voice authoritative and tinged with irritation, "Where is the scroll?"

Despite his fear of his imposing master, Lee Qingyuan's anger flared when he recalled Yang Xiu's disrespect toward Mao Mountain. "Master, our Mao Mountain Sect possesses the world's most powerful Exorcism Method. How can hers even compare? To think she'd want to trade such a method for the Yin Meridian is utterly absurd."

Lin Yi shared Lee Qingyuan's sentiment, yet he recognized the value in Yang Xiu's scroll. Without overtly reprimanding him, Lin Yi maintained his composure, especially with the benevolent elder observing the exchange. "Such an important item should not be misplaced. Find it immediately; I'm eager to see who we're dealing with."

Lee Qingyuan gulped and scurried off into the dense forest to retrieve the lost scroll.

"Lin Yi," the elder instructed, his voice calm yet firm, "issue the order to seal off Ghost City. If this individual shows up, do not harm them. I wish to have a personal discussion." With that, the compassionate elder departed, his face a tapestry of complex emotions.

Yang Xiu, with the Demon at his side, moved effortlessly until they reached a decrepit temple. The Demon, sensing something ominous, refused to advance further.

Stowing the Demon away, Yang Xiu was captivated by the temple's mysterious allure and the unexpected sense of tranquility it exuded—a true anomaly within Ghost City. He stood outside, wrestling with his inner turmoil, his gaze locked on the temple, drawn by its irresistible pull.

The allure of the mystery intensified, and Yang Xiu's eyes blazed with fervor, bordering on insanity, yet he remained motionless.

Abruptly, a torrent of Star Power burst forth from within Yang Xiu, veiling his eyes and snapping him out of his frenzied state. As the Star Power receded, it was as if Yang Xiu had transformed into someone else entirely, gazing upon the dilapidated temple as though it were a mountain of gold.

A bloodthirsty expression painted his face, and his crimson tongue flicked across his lips. "Coiling Wood Heavenly Dragon, shaking the foundations of evil and charm. Indeed, this is a splendid place."

With a face alight with excitement, he strode into the ruins of the temple.
